The Dyntrace plattform with the AIOps features improved our software development practice strongly.
What do you like best about the product?
Dyntrace gives the software development team and our organisation access to the same metrics and provides with the AIOps features automatic generated and meaningful insights to act on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Capabilities and features for IT Operations and infrastructure monitoring is an important area for us as well. Right now we use ActiveGates plugins to bring the required data points to the same platform our developers are already using . The roadmap from Dynatrace already mentioned improvements in this area. We like to see and usem them!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From the perspective of my role I need an easy and accessable overview to all our important systems. But I only want to see data that is important and where I need to put my focus. With the dashboard features we could archieve exactly this.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the focus on the business/customer. I love the proactive approach.
What do you dislike about the product?
false alerts; on synthetics screen if I want to edit all tests - I have to do 100 at a time. That's very time consuming and seems unnecessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a strong focus on availability - synthetics, detecting "symptoms" of bigger problems (such as hung threads, low disk space, etc.) We are getting more and more requests to monitor applications in the cloud - Dynatrace seems to be right on top of that!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If at all possible - find the money in your budget for this product. It is certainly worth the money and pays for itself in time/money spent troubleshooting

Better UI, user action usage, alert configuration, purepath, service flow, hotspots, great customer chat service
What do you dislike about the product?
No custom dashboards, no custom reports, no proper synthetic reporting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Infrastructure related problems, application traffic problems, custom metrics related problems, solved by good alerting and sample dashlets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Deploy dynatrace on one application, review it with Dynatrace SME, create a generic template and follow it for the rest of the applications

Making any purchase, unannounced product changes

With DT we finally get visibility of dependencies in a complex environment.

PurePath, Backtrace, waterfall analysis.

I dislike that Dynatrace doesn't support monitoring of one of the most user programming language which is Python.

I help developers to find performance issues by using waterfall analysis.

artificial Intelligence - davis - because we will never be able anymore to keep track on the changing infrastructure manually

troubleshoting, analysing with in a complex infrastructure. P1 incidents.

1st - get something to show to business and cXo (proof of concept)
2nd - strong management attention and the commitment to go for dynatrace incl. the costs of the solution

Awesome way to understand whats happening with user exceptions
What do you like best about the product?
I can quickly drill down into my dashboard to understand the errors my user's are experiencing
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I can think of that I dislike

A lack of visibility into user experience has been fixed by clear reports that provide insights in to exception conditions

The Dynatrace tool allows staff to drill into problem areas quickly and easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your tagging is not quite structured enough, you will have a bad time

Impact analysis is very easy to obtain

Look at other implementations of Dynatrace - what did they do, how does it work for them.

The product offers the possibility to quickly derive value from it's use, either from an IT Operations perspective or a business KPI
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are reducing with broadening of features, but the main downsides would be the coexistence with complementary and overlapping legacy tools and the cost that entails.

We have been positioning Dynatrace on a performance oriented solution as well a New IT Observability Blueprint for large corporations.

The way the problems were detected for an application and know the root cause of it to.

The dynatrace UI was liitle bit difficult to understand for the new users.

Tracing in to the application and enable deep level monitoring.
