Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
The interface works very intuitively and makes for a seamless experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still missing some integrations and automation, but I know they are working on this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am doing a lot of processes in one place instead of with different tools combined.
A Powerful and Engaging Tool to Use
What do you like best about the product?
How simple and quick it is to build complex models that run in my data warehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, multiple people can't be in the same model at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's the foundation of our data stack now that manages almost our entire ETL processes and data warehouse. I'm spoiled now and couldn't live without it.
Good and reliable all-in-one BI solution
What do you like best about the product?
Y42 is very easy to implement and doesn't require extensive resources or know-how to keep it running. The tool connects with pretty much any data source you can think of, and even if something is missing, Y42 is keen to add new integrations. The onboarding process and ongoing support are also very satisfactory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The visualizations feature doesn't offer as much as visualization-focused competitors, but Y42 is constantly improving it, so the limitations should disappear over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Y42 allowed me to establish a proper data pipeline realitively easily and provide the business with reliable reporting.
Easy to use, sustainable No-Code solution and quick to implement!!!
What do you like best about the product?
It took me 10 minutes to implement first data models and set up visualisations in a BI Tool. Getting raw data was never that easy and I can fully implement a highly efficient database without touching any line of code. Perfect to see the full data picture without hours of coding!
What do you dislike about the product?
Visualisation is compared to other providers not good enough to really implement it in the daily business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to solve basically all data issues. Connect to all data sources, modell the data in the background and orchestrate it in the most easy way. From there it is just a few clicks to work with an automated data flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it out and get convinced.
Sandbox Tool for Data Nerds
What do you like best about the product?
Y42 works for us, because it provides us with all opportunities to model our data exactly the way we want to. It removes the barrier to build all the data pipelines, instead one can go directly into building models, with real business impact. And the great thing is that there are no limitations for imagination, even for team members who don't have that much experience with SQL or other data programming languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like to see added is being able to enter queries, which you enter into BigQuery, directly in Y42. Because at the moment there are a few functionalities which BigQuery offers, that aren't in Y42. Apart from that I have found nothing so far, which would discourage me from using it or recommending it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built loads of high performing dashboards for all parts of our enterprise, and were able to increase transparency and the overall availability of information from our CEO to interns.
Furthermore we built an attribution model with Y42 which we leverage to build a Customer Prediction Platform, in order to spend smarter, increase our ROI and offer our customers the best experience possible.

The most awesome tool I ever used
What do you like best about the product?
Speed: The tool is incredibly fast, since it is running on BigQuery Data and Data previews are calculated with a sample. Most previews are ready in less than 10 seconds. I was also able to build the above flow while traveling by train, using only my iPhone hotspot.
Quality of Data: The Data I am getting for Facebook Ads is exactly what Facebook provides. So I can just use the Facebook documentation and also got access to a lot of information that Supermetrics e.g. does not provide. Although this information is not critical, it is quite nice.
Really easy handling of JSON Objects: They even got an integrated JSON visualizer so you don’t need to copy and paste the Objects somewhere. Also there is a JSON flattening option for the Import and a really handy way of extracting and transforming Information from JSON Objects.
Quality of Data: The Data I am getting for Facebook Ads is exactly what Facebook provides. So I can just use the Facebook documentation and also got access to a lot of information that Supermetrics e.g. does not provide. Although this information is not critical, it is quite nice.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since the software is being developed so fast, there are some minor bugs from time to time. However, none of those caused the data to be off, because most of them were only happening in the user interface. This makes y42 one of the most reliable tools that I have ever used in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using y42 to handle the Data of over one hundred sources. The probability of errors and failures happening in our processes of transforming and cleaning data is relatively high and there have been many issues with other tools we used for this task before. With y42, there were no system issues or bugs that stopped our pipelines from working. This is really the game-changer for us.
Excellent for my portfolio companies
What do you like best about the product?
I have invested in several start-ups and recommended all of them to use y42. With y42, my portfolio companies can deliver standardized investor reporting, which helps them internally to be much more data-driven as well. Most of my portfolio companies are in the range of 20-100 employees, and some of them don’t have the financial means to invest in a big data-engineering team to build out the data infrastructure. Y42 has been a true game-changer for these companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product itself has many features, but documentation is still lacking in some areas. Hence, my portfolio companies rely heavily on the customer success team of y42 if they get stuck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my portfolio companies to become data-driven organizations. Enable them to have a full-fledged data set-up at a fraction of the cost of hiring 4-5 data engineers.
CEO with hands-on and data-centric approach
What do you like best about the product?
That I can get Sales and Operational reports from my team and drill into more detail easily. I was constantly reliant on my data team for even the smallest changes creating lag time. We also have a variety of data pools from ERP’s to custom data lakes. I liked that we were able to get the data in y42 quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had to get used to the visualization style as I switched from Microsoft Power BI but after some time I am now getting used to it and it is OK.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better Data-pipeline management. Data accessed and transformed better by different teams. Almost all data connectors right out of the box.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The y42 team is very quick, knowledgeable about your business needs and will as part of the implementation offer you insights that by themselves are very valuable and that I did not expect to get for such as software solution, I consider it as a bonus for the organization. In short - they are very flexible and eager to do business which is helpful overall.
Perfect to scale up my E-commerce shop
What do you like best about the product?
Quick time to set up with preconfigured data connectors for my webstore. Easy to use reporting that was fast. Ongoing support from the y42 team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some dashboards that come preconfigured with the software rather than me working with the team to configure them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We uncovered a lot of opportunities after using y42 that not only improved the experience for customers but also reduced costs by finding spots of inefficiency.
Some of the direct results that came that increased the LTV from the reports that came from y42 were:
- Reducing costs in fulfillment and sourcing
- Product streamlining by eliminating low satisfaction low ROI products
- Adding more revenue streams with payment options, relevant products, cross sell opportunities based the reports provided by y42
I feel for many larger e-commerce companies, this maybe quite routine but as a scale up I was having a hard time finding these insights from Google Analytics and other tools I was using. Other tools seemed convoluted or limiting. y42 seemed to hit the sweet spot.

Datos is absolutely amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a Marketing Lead of a fast growing DTC company in the US. Datos has been recommended to us by a friend of the CEO. At first, I was quite skeptical that a company like Datos would be able to solve our issues. We have been working with our BI-stack for over a year by now. Before using Datos, we spend roughly 100k on various tools in our pipeline ranging from ETL tools such as Fivetran to Domo. It became very hard to manage as our team grew and we felt that stitching together so many tools was not scalable. With Datos, we have been able to reduce the amount of tooling drastically. I cannot be more happy to switch to Datos as it saves us a lot of money and it is much more manageable with one tool than 5+ tools before. The best part about Datos is the modelling layer. It allows our entire team to work transparent and everybody can understand the data transformation rather quickly. I really can recommend Datos fully if you want a state-of-the-art Business Intelligence set-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
2 integrations that we need have been missing when we started. Datos added both of them within the first 3 weeks but it was a bit annoying in the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Datos as our data back-bone by now and it enables us to really scale up the data operations inside our company. We use Datos for
