SAP S/4 HANA - Future of ERP
What do you like best about the product?
SAP S/4 Hana has it's own cloud and data base platform. S/4 provides best text analysis on top of structured as well as unstructured data.It has new front end fiori and UI5.
Many of the modules are replaced and combined for easier business processes.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit costly and end user of s/4 hana need to have knowledge on the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
S/4 HANA is widely used in ERP indusrty. It covers core ERP business processes.
Additional module changes like settlement management ( in place of SD rebated processing, Sales and distribution Foregin Trade, Revenue recognition are added to S/4 Hana

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of SAP HANA is that it's very user-friendly and efficient in controls. Following are the things which I like most:
>Dashboards are also very attractive.
>Easy to filter information as per need.
>Ease of monthly recurring transactions.
>Strict security which gives comfort to user for data privacy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes excessive controls make it very difficult to do the things but somehow these are there for us. Modules integration is tough also. You have to keep a check when you amend anything in one module, what is the impact it has on another module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We just implemented SAP HANA. Facing the issue of stock upload reversal previously uploaded on a later date which I need to reverse and upload on year-end. Although consultants are helping but in vain to date. Benefits in the sense is that utmost data security is there i.e. nobody can remove the data from database easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
First, you have to see your Company's dynamics before moving to SAP S/4 HANA. As per my experience, it's not too much customizable. And if you need customization you have to pay a lot. Ensure that your industry could be well handled with SAP.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a kind of Ecvel format tool, where there can be performed various combinations of data and can be made useful for reporting purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its limited compatibility in terms of hardware makes it less useful for all projects. It is also expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast reporting, Template creation for different kinds of reports, Data security and analysis.

U/I has changed alot and more functions have been developed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It still feels like rigid and not adaptive for beginners.

Production, purchase, sales and program management related all problems are solve with financial and budgetting kept in mind.

Best practices, Business Process Standardization, Scalability across countries, taxations even languages. Now the HANA and FIORI... make any organization Digital Ready in weeks.

In some places the localization and Reports are Modular.

This can't be concise has to be in detail of my 18years SAP career ..In Real SAP is capable to Solve Many Business Problems and supports Many Decisions Making.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Collect your Pain Points and the requirement to stable and scale. then the Core User has to be Strong in terms of detailing and collating the Data. Once this is ready , you can start the Project.

What do you like best about the product?
The top 3 best things about the SAP S/4 HANA Cloud for closing as per me are as follows - easier management and tracking of all the closing steps enabling quick corrective actions, availability on cloud leading to reduced maintenance cost and global accessibility, templatized process steps for most closing process leading to easier user education
What do you dislike about the product?
Movement from the existing closing process to the closing on S/4 HANA is not just a technology change. It is also a process and mindset change. Hence, major efforts and contribution is required from the change management teams in the organization to get all the users onboard. Also, the one time cost of implementation is sizeable and business case must clearly justify these cost before S/4 HANA is implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are 2 key objectives of using SAP S/4 HANA for us. First is a quicker closing process at the end of each month, leading to faster reporting along with advanced HANA analytics capability. Additionally, faster closing leads to saving of bandwidth of the finance team which can then be utilized in other productive tasks. This has led to effort and resource optimization.

What do you like best about the product?
Best practice closing templates to save time. The efficiency of the tool. we can Improve transparency and insight and automation also good integration with this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need seamless installation of the product. need to improve user-friendliness and AFC functionality. I AFC on BTP process is already on the road map of SAP that's it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process all closing tasks in a single environment and save time with automation. Monitor the status of the closing process in real-time – from the whole group down to a specific task of a single entity
Good Improvement over traditional closing
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this is the multiple automation possible which can quickly finish the tasks which were done manually before. In addition, the progress of the closing can be tracked from anywhere and in real time. This can help identify any obstacles early leading to a faster closing. In addition, other advantages of any technology over cloud also hold good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much of a disadvantage from a technical perspective. However there is a significant cost and effort involved in change management as the ways of working and processes would change significantly when moving from traditional close to closing using S4/HANA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The closing time has reduced significantly. There has been a savings of at least 1 working day in finishing the entire closing process. This has additionally helped in optimizing the resource allocation and saving on the FTE cost
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The tool provides a lot of functionality. One needs to be careful and pick and choose what is required as per the organization's business processes and requirements. Only because there are numerous capabilities available if one decides to implement all of those it will simply complicate the process and the adoption of the tool would be hampered. The tool should be made to fit your requirements and the processes and not the other way around.
