What do you like best about the product?
My journey with Anaconda started in a very unusual way — through a recommendation from an Instagram influencer who promoted it as the best entry point for beginners. I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try. What I truly love is that Anaconda bridges the gap between a complete novice and the complex world of programming. I remember my first experience: unlike other tools where I got stuck on installation errors, Anaconda worked perfectly on the first try. That feeling of immediate success was incredibly empowering. Even though my job isn't 100% coding-related, I recently received a newsletter from Anaconda that actually worked — it brought back those warm memories of my first steps. It motivated me to return to "vibecoding" using their platform because it feels safe, inclusive, and hassle-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
or a "vibecoder" or a hobbyist like me, it is hard to find real flaws. However, if I must be objective, the Anaconda Navigator can sometimes be a bit heavy and slow to launch on older machines compared to lightweight code editors. But considering it carries the entire ecosystem inside, I accept this trade-off for the convenience it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaconda solves the "Fear of Starting." I use it to create a stress-free environment for learning and experimenting with Python without the headache of managing libraries manually. It allows me to focus on the creative side of coding rather than the technical maintenance. It keeps my motivation alive. When I tried other tools, I cooled off quickly because they felt too strict or complex. Anaconda brings back the joy and ease of use, making me feel like a developer even without a heavy technical background.

size after installation, it seems way heavier than miniconda or simple Python.

I love using Anaconda AI Platform both for my office work and my personal projects, as it allows me to perform data analysis and reporting efficiently. One of the features I appreciate the most is the ease it offers for the development and training of all kinds of models, which is crucial for my work, especially in the analysis of banking clients and scoring calculation. The platform helps me extract valuable information from clients and generate credit analyses with a confidence level close to 80%, which really adds value to my work. Additionally, I like the capability of Anaconda AI Platform to facilitate the cleaning, organization, and merging of many files, as well as the automations regarding BSC calculations and product comparisons.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that the use of resources by Anaconda AI Platform is heavy, especially for modest machines like the ones I use at work.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the package management features of Anaconda AI Platform, as they significantly enhance my workflow. Previously, I had to create a virtual environment for each project while using PIP, which was quite cumbersome. With Anaconda, I have managed to streamline this process by creating a large repository across my computer and conveniently downloading necessary packages using Conda and Anaconda itself. This has been incredibly efficient for handling machine learning tasks and hosting Jupyter Notebooks. Additionally, Conda outperforms Homebrew, especially on Mac, when dealing with machine learning and data science tasks. The intuitive UI of Anaconda Navigator is also a great asset, offering an additional layer of interface that simplifies navigating the numerous packages I use, particularly within the virtual environments I create. It's a powerful tool that has consistently provided a seamless and efficient experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am frustrated that the Python versions are sometimes delayed in the Anaconda AI Platform and Conda package manager. This delay can be inconvenient, especially when newer versions of Python are needed for projects. Additionally, I feel the user interface of the Anaconda Navigator could be improved as it currently lacks some user-friendly features, making navigation less intuitive than it could be.
