A Straightforward Social Network Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I needed a quick, simple, solution for posting multiple scheduled updates to various social networks, and Hootsuite provides that.
What do you dislike about the product?
The composer window has a tendency to "disappear" while you're typing in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing social media with a tiny staff (basically, just me) and limited hours presented a challenge. Hootsuite's scheduling gave me a solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's much more powerful than we've utilized, so other uses will likely find more benefit.
Great Starter Tool
What do you like best about the product?
This is a great tool when you are starting out and only running a few social accounts. The key to Hootsuite is that it's really easy to use, and easy to teach (if you need to). It's got all of the basics that you need to schedule your social content so that you don't have to worry about posting by hand day-to-day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downfall to this is that you cannot repeat content. So, if you want to send the same post out more than once you need to actually schedule it twice, instead of being about to click "repeat" and then schedule how often to send it. This takes a lot of time, especially if you're writing evergreen content that you want to use several times on different feeds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was my first social scheduling tool when I started my business 5 years ago.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give this a try for sure, it is a great tool - and is extremely affordable for anyone just starting out. It will allow you to do everything you need while managing a small number of social accounts, and save you time.

Easy scheduling across multiple social media platforms, free account allows up to 30 scheduled posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free account has very few features, does not allow users to attach multiple photos to a scheduled post.

Ease of posting, scheduling, and viewing multiple social sites on PC and Mobile

Sometime posts don't always appear the way I thought they would.

it lacks to possibility to tag on pictures when you try to post on Twitter, this is a big minus.

great for monitoring and engagement management but we were not satisfied with the scheduling tool.
You cannot tag on pictures for Twitter, when you copy in a handle to the editing box often it doesnt recognizes it and sometimes doesnt accept certain video formats that the native platform otherwise accepts.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it convenient to monitor and listen in on different aspects of specific conversations all at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Hootsuite retweets content. It may have improved over time, but it's never worked for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple social media profiles for different organizations can be tricky. With Hootsuite, I'm able to listen and follow along with multiple conversations all at once.
Great way to schedule social media posts
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can schedule posts for the weeks to come and not worry about having to remember to post them. They either post themselves or send you a notification. It is a lifesaver. I have really enjoyed using it
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it would post straight to instagram like it does on facebook
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one place to schedule everything out and see things save so much time. It is nice to do things all at one time when you are in the groove compared to every day and forgetting.

I like that you can monitor all your platforms on one screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how it's not easy to upload multiple photos with your Facebook posts.

I like that you can schedule social content weeks in advance.

With limited time, I can still get the full scope of what I need to know is happening on Twitter. I am a big fan - it makes my job so much easier.

I wish the mobile interface was easier to manage, but that might just be the nature of the beast. I really only use Hootsuite on my laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a very busy non-profit organization with only 9 staff members, and I am the sole person running communications. I simply do not have a lot of time to spend on various social media platforms. Hootsuite is great because I see what I need to see without spending a lot of time digging through chaff. I can easily respond, write original posts, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a very efficient product. It's easy to learn how to use it and get things set up according to what you need to see from social media. It's also very flexible - when I have had different interns over the years, they have been able to reorganize the feeds according to what is intuitive for them, and that helps them complete their task quicker and more efficiently. Because we are a very busy non-profit, presenting or supervising or funding more than 400 events per year with only 9 full time employees, it's important for me to work efficiently in everything I do. Hootsuite is great!
