Lackluster and glitchy
What do you like best about the product?
The blog and additional resources are really helpful, particularly for someone new to social
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s clunky and outdated. The UX is awkward and the product is really glitchy. Spent way too much time talking to customer service.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how you can easily schedule messages in advance, even if you have the free version that limits to 30 messages!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how, when scheduling to Facebook, if you have more than one picture attached, it posts the message more than once with only one picture max. One time it did that with a post that I had 18 pictures & I had to go & delete all of them one by one and instead use Facebook publisher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me schedule things in advance so that when I’m off work and it’s peak time on social media, I can still have content go out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If using for a business that manages multiple social media, it is better to buy the packages where you can attach more than 1 business.
Hootsuite - Easy and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The Hootsuite platform is easy and intuitive. I love that I can see all of my social accounts in one place and how they interact with each other on comparable metrics. It helped show us that Instagram was a great platform for us in terms of content and engagement while we were lacking for Twitter. Even with no formal training, the system is fairly easy to understand just by working through it on your own.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have better compatibility across mobile and tablet devices - I mainly use on a laptop for this reason. Sometimes we have issues with Hootsuite taking a few minutes to update our accounts to real time also - there seems to be a slight lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't know how our brand was performing on the social channel, so this was helpful to get a full snapshot of our current state and allow us to optimize. For example, we thought Twitter was reaching our audience best, but it turns out that our viewers prefer image content over words. So we've adjusted our strategy to focus predominantly on photos and images with brief captions and we've seen a large uptick in our following and continued engagement.
Great Features, but a bit Buggy
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to post directly to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter all at the same time, and even schedule posts to each platform, is an absolute godsend. I am the only person in our marketing team, so when I have time off, instead of having to schedule individual posts for each platform (or in the case of Instagram, miss posts completely) I can tee up group posts for each one and schedule them to send instantaneously.
The ability to post to Instagram from my workstation is also a benefit as it gives us the chance to edit photos in photoshop or illustrator before publishing.

What do you dislike about the product?
The New Post beta feature is excellent, but sometimes it takes several goes to publish a post - especially if it is going to more than one platform. Also, there are issues in connecting to my file folders, which makes uploading an issue.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As above, being able to schedule group posts to all platforms means that we don't lose any social media functionality when I am away from the office. Content can be set up ahead of time and a whole week of content to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram can be set up all prior to leaving the office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it - although buggy in places, the scheduling and automation features are excellent, and also the ability to edit photos with Creative Cloud from within Hootsuite is fantastic.
Good for Social Media Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the layout and accessibility of the software. It's easy to use and incorporate within social media plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limit of profiles in the free version

To maintain consistent posting throughout the platforms and to avoid repetition in posts.
Better than most!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the "Hootlet feature" with which you can easily share things you come across on other areas of the web -- it is analogous to the "pin it" feature on Pinterest.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two different areas you can publish content from, and they both have a different look and feel (the functionality is different as well), which makes the whole experience feel incongruous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have significantly increased the f volume of content we publish on social, because Hootsuite allows multiple staff members to post, and see others' scheduled posts.

They can't tag organizations from scheduled LinkedIn posts.

If you're using the free version, you can only manage three accounts. Consider the paid version if needed.
Useful capabilities, difficult interface
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is useful, as well as the ability to schedule social postings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is not intuitive, and therefore takes a while to fully understand what capabilities are.

I use it to schedule social posts, as well as track certain metrics.

Works well, just takes some time to understand its capabilities fully!
Couldn't do my job without it
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule my social posts ahead of time allows me to work on larger projects without constant interruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
The link preview option does not always work and there are times when posts fail to send, but it is not that often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time! I have so much more uninterrupted time now.

Do it! It's very user-friendly and a great way to track social engagement and schedule out posts.

Hootsuite is very user-friendly and is adaptable to many forms of social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had trouble with Instagram postings at first, but their support team was helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It posts at times when you might be busy or asleep. I manage social media at my current place of work and it's very helpful for my job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You'll have to get used to how busy the homepage looks, but once you're past that, you're golden. I would suggest using Hootsuite to anyone in need of social media management.
