Very useful network visibility tool

  • June 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The inventarization of Faddom is extremely useful to discover resources in a network when preparing a migration project
The mapping of ip addresses to host services and software versions helps in networks with incomplete or incorrect documentation
Overall getting the first wave of host and network information is very easy to use
For more advanced issues the support people were helpful and we got the necessary details after 1 or 2 iterations of changing the probe config.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may or may not a be an issue, the terminology used in Faddom has a bit of a learning curve, when starting with the project we got a mix of different discovery results that we first had to classify into the different providers like VMWare, I wonder if that could be clearer in the cases where different providers supply the info that has different levels of detail (this is understandable but confusing at first)
the application uses a linux vm, which is easy to deploy (vmware in our case, as well as in a test-install on a local virtualbox vm), we ran into some linux-based issues relating to the postgres database, I wonder if that could be made accessible more easily (we essentially "hacked" the database to get access for a JDBC access)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are tasked with preparing the migration of a datacenter that is physical or vmware-based to a new data center that is run as a private cloud environment, preferrably to use docker when possible and vmware when not, this requires more insight and visibility into the existing network services, servers and application groups that available from the existing documentation, to improve the inventory of all services, we use a self-built tool that evaluates info provided by the departments and supplement that with the info determined by Faddom like communication ports

many monitoring features, great support, fair price

What do you like best about the product?
there are loads of possibilities with Faddom, loads of data are saved, it is just a question about how you use it or filter the data. also settings up alerts and rules.

It is in my oppinion a no brainer, any company should invest invest in the product if you dont have any type of internal traffic monitoring. but also consider migrating from what you use today.

A really usefull feature is there "new" feature that can scan software weakness on machines on the network, like old JAVA version or components used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cant really see what there is to dislike other then the learning curve getting up and running, getting to use all the features.

but here i recommend using their customer service, and regular consulting meetings, to ensure you use it correctly.
Faddom is not set at forget solution, you have to actulle use it.

so not really a dislike, more than just you need to apply the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get monitoring on internal network trafic.
We now are aware of what traffic we have, before this, we didnt know what was happening on LAN. ofcourse we have antivirus, firewall and so on.
but now we use internel VMWAre virtuale switches, we can see internal/external trafic anomalies..
We can setup alerts, we can monitor certificat, get alert when they are about to expire.....

What do you like best about the product?
Simple and Quick Installation and integration, Very intuitive.
Provide instant insight of your Infrastructure. very clear and easy to use.
Great Customer support by the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
License Price :), no just Joking it also an affordable solution for any IT department.
maybe a deeper packet inspection. but honestly its not the goal of that product.
not really dislike something about Faddom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had some anomalies in our network. we did not understand why so many request to some specific address,
In an Instant Faddom Reveal, a mistake done from year by adding a wrong secondary DNS address to the infra.
We also understood that some servers are reaching unknown Address on the internet. we close the outbound.

Realtime agentless application dependency mapping

  • June 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Faddom operates offline, non intrusive and improves visibility accross servers and applications with good integrations on mainstream infrastructures.
Performance metrics and optimization insights are quite useful.
Combination of features makes it a great tool for incident analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are really basic like network topology or CVE scanning.
Application mapping needs more work to be used as a reference for documentation as some dynamic drawing layouts are not very clear and are lost if we add a node afterwards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faddom brings network trafic visibility far applications and servers. It will be the foundation for documenting application flows and interactions.

Phenomenal Network and Asset tool.

  • April 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the dependency mapping, I love the auto server classification, but 2 of the most useful tools are under the secure tab:
1. the SSL tracking.
2. External Network discovery.

The add data source feature allows you to quickly add different virtualizations and get a holistic view of everything.
The tool is so well layed out, and is easy to use and get familiar with.

Getting up and running is very quick, and completing intitial setup is very smooth.

Dealing with Amir and Alex from Customer support is always a pleasure, with extremely quick turn arounds.

I use Faddom every day for multiple customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the exportable reports and the small working window for server names etc., especially when trying to export the External Network List.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faddom is allowing us to map out client landscapes, giving them real and accurate data, which allows them to plan simplified environments, see network bleeds, and minimize their risk footprint with regards to expired SSL Certificates, or even external allowed traffic.

Effective Tool for IT Dependency Mapping and Optimization

  • December 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Faddom's integration capabilities made it easy to deploy APIs than GitHub Actions, streamlining the process and ensuring efficiency. It proved to be a reliable and effective solution for automating deployments and maintaining consistency across environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Faddom is that its pricing might not be ideal for smaller organizations or those with tighter budgets. Additionally, new users may face a learning curve when first getting started. Expanding support for more third-party integrations could further improve its functionality and appeal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faddom solves problems like complex application dependency mapping, lack of visibility in hybrid environments, and manual dependency mapping. It automates the mapping process, saving time and reducing errors. By offering a unified view of on-premises and cloud systems, it helps optimize IT infrastructure and reduce costs, benefiting me by improving efficiency and decision-making.
