Simple and cost-effective CMS solution
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very user-friendly, and has a nice UI that's easy-to-use and customize. The setup is relatively straightforward, and hassle-free. It's a joy to publish content in the CMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with all software, there are bugs and the platform can be a little unstable when it comes to custom work and integrations, but Brightspot are quick to respond and resolve issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed to launch a website in a short time-frame, and Brightspot was able to do that within a limited budget, and to a high standard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a good quality website, and an easy way to update it, Brightspot is the answer.
Excellent CMS
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive, easy to use and the installation is very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the learning curve is steep, once you have learned the basics of this CMS, everything becomes clear to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used many different CMS at the same time, with Brightspot we manage to centralize all the information and data that we use.
Great for a Content Team
What do you like best about the product?
It offers great flexibility in customizing a workflow for content creation. The text and image editors function in an easy and straightforward way that's easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've discovered some missing features we wish it had. It's pretty basic and is missing the bells and whistles of other CMS programs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a centralized hub for our content writers and this fit the bill perfectly. Everything gets published straight from Brightspot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool to try out with your team and see if it fits. From here you can know if you need to upgrade to a more expensive product or not.
Has many features for the content management system
What do you like best about the product?
The Brightspot UI came in with many basic features and some special features that helped us develop and get the service up and running in a very short period of time. the Brightspot engineers were also very proactive in response during any issues or breakdowns or even enhancements needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI has everything but if we want any change then the source code to be changed is from scratch. it is not too flexible for new widgets which are out of scope for Brightspot.

content management system had to be up and never have issues for us and also we were developing small widgets to integrate within content management system (CMS) where we used brightspot it was very easy and efficient.

For our software engineers, Brightspot has a clean code and easy to maintain. With Brightspot our sites are more efficient and easy to implement new features,

On old computers, the cms don't work very well. We need to make an appointment well in advance,

Reduce time to create new sites.

I really love the guys, engineering and operational teems are the best. They provide the best support any one could hope for and much more.
And the software architecture is robust, very well thought and easy to understand.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some times if the internet bandwidth is not good the CMS is not very responsive. It is feature reach like realtime preview and autosaving, but it requires resources, and it may be dificult to provide them to a very big editorial team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BSP solves everything, the CMS interface , the sites backend and frontend, caching, hosting. etc. It leaves very little if any uncovered.

What do you like best about the product?
The CMS is feature-rich, modern, intuitive and user-friendly, but also incredibly flexible. Using Brightspot developers and our own internal developers, we've been able to customize the CMS to meet our needs and simplify our publishing workflows. Continued development of the platform ensures that as the web ecosystem evolves, so too will our CMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
While using the CMS as a publisher is really straightforward, some of the settings can be a little confusing/counter-intuitive. However, once you get them configured, you rarely need to change them, so it's a relatively minor complaint. Also, many of the features are separate modules, so you have to make sure they are added on if you want them, otherwise the features will be absent. This is a feature (so you don't have unnecessary code), but it also requires some diligence and understanding in order to make sure you have what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to democratize our publishing and to unify our print and web publishing into one CMS, which is great. Overall, this has led to more people being able to do more things in the CMS, and do them more quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
From the start of the process working with Brightspot, we found them to be actively engaged in not only understanding the pain we were facing but uncovering and supporting our desired changes. We had many unique needs for a variety of digital to print applications. During multiple projects, they continually looked for the best way to help our users and look at the root cause rather than just find a fast solution. In every way, Brightspot has been a partner that has helped us find the best way to move forward with our content management needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the issues we have had all stem from standard organizational change management. The technology isn't perfect but has provided a strong base for us to be successful. There are minor design and user enhancement functionality we would like to see changed or updated but many of those have been reported and are currently in process. Overall I'm extremely happy with the system and support we have received throughout our implementation of Brightspot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are attempting to create smart content along with omnichannel publishing capabilities. Brightspot has already helped us reduce the amount of work and systems needed to publish to multiple channels.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and understand. The design is very good as well. There also are many plugins available to meet a variety of needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding video content can be tricky and confusing to do. Sometimes the internet basndwith is not very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training new staff members has been a huge problem that was solved.

I would highly recommend to others to use!
Brightspot is a great platform for CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspot is fairly intuitive to use. After using the platform for a few times, Brightspot makes it easy to understand how to create content and make revisions. It is also a good platform in that it is seamless to train new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be tricky to add video content to pages in Brightspot but we have a few workarounds in place to make it work. Also, when adding embed code snippets for contests, we have to add it at the very end of creating an article page or HTML will override it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot allows our multiple media properties to create articles both for editorial and sponsored content. We can easily share out articles for multiple sites to replicate as appropriate. Some benefits we have realized are that it offers a streamlined platform to create articles. We have been able to build out templates to help regulate site formatting requirements as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Brightspot is easy to use and has been a positive asset as it relates to my position in the company.
