LogicMonitor for MSP
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for the platform to monitor and alert on a large variety of vendors. The ability for use of PowerShell scripts for custom monitoring
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs additional levels of user allowances
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring and alerting for Citrix Environments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Providing granular access for users in for limited management without full control.
RMM for your relaxation
What do you like best about the product?
The vendor diversity offered for monitored devices and the fact that all of this cloud-based.
The continious improvement that involves adding more and more devices to the already exhaustive list of vendors supported by the platform.
The new topology feature is a great step forward and has potential to provide a more visual approach to people that need a diagrammatic representation of their environment.
The collector less cloud monitoring is another great feature that has been introduced that allows for a more hands-free approach in recent times. It not only saves cost in allocating a dedicated collector but also collects advanced metrics from the cloud platform.
LogicMonitor has a great support team that usually goes above and beyond to help. They have assisted at multiple instances to help create custom LogicModules for devices that are not part of their existing monitoring offering.

What do you dislike about the product?
Custom thresholds lost under global LogicModules during updates. Sometimes I've noticed that monitoring data is reset when a LogicModule is upgraded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor allows you to monitor diverse environments that is peppered with devices from a variety manufacturers.
Its allows for integration with your Professional Services Automation (PSA) enabling you to focus on other tasks while it takes care of automation.
LogicMonitor is also cloud based that enabled us to retire some of our old physical resources we had in place for our previous RMM product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a purely cloud based, automation enabled RMM tool. I highly recommend considering LogicMonitor to feel the difference.
Untitiled
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the customization. I also find the support to be pretty good.
What do you dislike about the product?
we've noticed recently a good number of our monitors have frequently had issues - failing in the middle of the day. support, thought, is usually very quick to get the issues fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it specifically to monitor and correct Hyper-V replication issues at customer sites. I also use it to monitor disk utilization and plan upgrades accordingly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm sorry, I have no recommendations at this time.
Most affordable and easy SaaS based platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy of administration. I've been an admin for LogicMonitor for 3 years. Our customers like the visibility that we have into all their devices and it's integrated into our ticket platform. Were able to proactively solve customers issues before they get out of hand. We can also provide decent reporting to our customers as well in our monthly meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating custom data sources can be complex and required for many devices. The API changed and now many of our integrations are now broken. There is an issue with custom reporting, we need more ability to do the reporting we use for our stewardship's and their custom reports are beta and could be removed at any point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a managed service department so we can provide customers with a great SaaS experience by proactively finding and alerting them of issues before they get too problematic
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great if your willing to put the time into making custom data sources for your customers, make sure that during an on boarding you have all the data up front, you have plenty of time to test to make sure the right data is being received. If you use Connectwise or ServiceNow it has good integration between them and makes automation even easier.
Great Monitoring Solution
What do you like best about the product?
All the built in templates that are auto applied when you point it to the devices, as well as the flexibility to create new monitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited auto-discovery options when wanting to add new devices automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an MSP with many different customers with hundreds of servers/network devices that we need to keep tabs on. The biggest help is to be able to diagnose issues that are sporadic with the historical metrics that are easy to hone into what was exactly happening at the time of the problem.
Worthy product in the Infrastructure monitoring space
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the interface, the dashboard functionality allows for highly customizable views, the alerting functionality is flexible and provides features that aren't present in competing products. The support has also been great; we have frequent conversations with our product managers for feedback and tips on how to extend the usage of our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is less competitive than it was; putting together queries and dashboards can be a bit cumbersome and isn't always intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General infrastructure and service monitoring. The product has been fantastic, allowing us to be aware of any type of outage in our environment, including cloud resources. The multi-step alerting allows the staff responsible for initial triaging to be notified before it sends out the wider alerts, with the text acknowledge function being useful for non-critical alerts.
Highly Recommend LogicMonitor
What do you like best about the product?
We have alot of hyper-v replication at all clients and it only took a few minutes to make a dashboard showing any failures. before that we were trying to figure out a solution for a long time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only issue i have had was users on our team moving things around into other clients by mistake. hasnt happened in a while though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerting for all our clients tied into our connectwise system
How LogicMonitor provides valuable insight into my entire application platform
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use...i can create dashboards to gain visibility into any aspect of my application platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
tweaking datasources and getting them to apply is kinda painful - and when a datasource doesnt work - tshooting kinda always requires a support person to intervene.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
network and application performance visibility
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The graphs and raw data tabs that let you see the history
The Support is fast
The Support is fast
What do you dislike about the product?
The resources tree on the left has click and drag enabled and it's easy to accidentally move something and lose it

What do you like best about the product?
