Great support, great product
What do you like best about the product?
The support team is always very accessible through email, on page chat, or phone call.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to tweak thresholds, but that is true with any monitoring system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since LogicMonitor has been implemented on our site, we have had significantly unscheduled fewer down time events.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk to the salespeople to get a custom quote
Great product and even better support.
What do you like best about the product?
The alerts have been a life saver for my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup can be challenging to fine tune the features you prefer. Our LogicMonitor rep has been very helpful in getting our system dialed in, but it does take some initial effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We immediately started seeing notifications for issues that we were unaware of. With both servers and network equipment we were able to diagnose and fix issues that had been going on for years prior. In addition the cloud based system is great for offering alerts to our mobile devices after hours which has all but eliminated the need for a staff member to be "on-call" as we are able to tune alerts to the appropriate employee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We used free software for years and made it work. But LogicMonitor has been worth every penny.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Visibility into all aspects of network health. Config management for our network devices, makes replacing a dead device much easier to get online again quickly. Able to see history for each network device to find anomalies in any parts of the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot say a bad thing about logicmonitor
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Response times to outages decreased significantly. We are able to be proactive in contacting our remote sites about outages, typically before they even know about them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best in class for network monitoring. Support is fantastic most times only 1 contact needed to resolve issues.
Effective (but pricey) monitoring service for your network devices
What do you like best about the product?
Accuracy and detail of monitoring given that it's running in local data center.
What do you dislike about the product?
Per device cost can be a hurdle, especially in a rapidly expanding environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring of live data centers lights-out around the world across multiple device manufacturers.

Know what you're getting into, device adds above commit start to get pricey.
Increase Productivity and Response Time
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor allows us to become a lot more proactive with the handling of our monitored systems instead of reactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
People in upper management would sometimes like to see less flash dashboards and reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been increasing our response to be more proactive, therefore increasing our SLA metrics and user satisfaction.
Simple to use with complex, advanced possibilities and incredible support
What do you like best about the product?
Getting assistance from someone knowledgable is easy. From quick config questions to complex custom datasources, we've been able to get someone on chat or email in a short amount of time. They even have the ability to help build custom datasources, and help adjust current datasources. We've been able to through a few unique use-cases at them that got their team excited and involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
No good mobile web-UI nor app. Responding to an email or SMS is easy and does the job, but being able to view a graph or dashboard on a phone while remote would be a huge improvement. Even just a mobile version of the website would be helpful. Some additional color themes would be cool for dashboards, but aren't a deal-breaker. They're working on connections, so that, for example, a switch going down doesn't trigger an alert for every device connected to that switch...once that topology is fully developed, this will be unstoppable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're getting early warnings that something may be wrong, and are able to inform the correct person(s) before waking up an entire team. We cycle through multiple dashboards and can easily spot anomalies. The dashboards have given us a quick glance, while the ability to look at previous data helps us view long-term trends.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of any setup assistance they provide, as it can be a huge help figuring out what is possible. There are lots of ways to fine-tune thresholds and alerting channels. Consider using the API to adjust on-call rotations.

Ensure your website is running as expected. When a problem occurs, it’s very useful for the analysis of the problem.

What do you like best about the product?
The network monitoring beats some other more expensive products on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the menus don't suit me but that is down to the individual user.

Wide distributed network with many nodes that were previously not monitored.
