Was able to transition to LogicMonitor quickly without issue. Very easy to learn and use.
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor definitely puts the LOGIC in LogicMonitor. It is very customizable and able to tailor to our needs. The API works great so we can integrate our other tools. Chat support is pretty effective. We were able to deploy quickly thanks to the SN CMDB integration and a talented in-house developer along with a LogicMonitor team that was able to steer us in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sizing and tuning the collectors has been more challenging than expected.
Sometimes it would be easier to have a quick call from a Chat support session.
There aren't a lot of dislikes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better monitoring, less false-positives, very intuitive and easy to use. All of our engineers can navigate easily for troubleshooting and diagnostic purposes when troubleshooting. Monitoring can be very broad or very granular to suit our needs. Able to monitor for our standards and compliance needs. We just deployed so we are just scratching the surface.
Great product, great support!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to setup out of the box. I literally can have monitoring setup and running on all of your systems in less than an hour.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only feature that is really missing is automatic remediation steps when an alert is triggered, but I understand that is in the development pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am monitoring over 5000 systems. It allows me to set up custom alert rules and escalation chains not just host by host but even individual monitored sources. PING, IIS, SQL service etc. This lets me route alerts to the team that can best handle that alert.
Intutive tool that helps make my job easier
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible dashboards that can present a large amount of data in a simple view. It's ability to work with a wide range of protocols and straight forward interface for creating your own custom logic modules. The frequent updates and improvements to the platform, and the integrated chat support with quick response times. Easy user administration that provides me confidence in the user access to a distributed customer user base. The ability to grant view permissions of the logicmodules to my engineering team for transparency on how they function which has resulted in less time I have to investigate and explain to the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
A brief list of items I've discussed with the LogicMonitor team where I know improvements are in development:
Lack of dark mode in current release.
Lack of configurable conformation prompts when device groups are moved via drag and drop.
No current ability to adjust polling intervals at the device group level.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've worked with LogicMonitor for over a year and have had many great interactions with their support on ways to improve the platform in a way that makes sense for my team as well as help identify areas the platform can improve that will not only benefit my team but all LogicMonitor users. This ranges from specific use cases in my teams instance to reduce alert floods during events to identifying specific unsupported encryption protocols the LogicMonitor team is now working to support in the near future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider simple design implementations to scale into better use of dynamic groups.
Deep dive with LogicMonitor

1. I can support on prem and cloud
2. agentless
3.It can monitor websites
4.It can monitor itself!

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have have anything I can say i dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Website monitoring is the big one for me
Simple and quick to setup. Most devices and services take minutes to start monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup. Point LogicMonitor to my firewall, switch, server, etc. and it auto-configures itself without me having to add every single data point I want/need to track. Cloud deployment is also a big plus for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our needs were simple. No complaints at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a single solution to monitor our datacenter and cloud services, and send alerts via multiple channels. Our old solution was on-prem and only capable of sending emails, so if our datacenter circuit went down, no alerts could be sent. A cloud solution solved that problem by being outside our environment, and is also able to send emails and texts.
very intuitive and helpful
What do you like best about the product?
monitoring all network and server equipments under single pane of glass. It is very easy to use and can be used by multiple folks
What do you dislike about the product?
hard to navigate and pull desired reports. Adding devices is a little tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
none for me at the time but benefits are huge in network monitoring and troubleshooting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
deploy in cloud is much better
Easy to implement and maintain with quality results
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to add new devices into monitoring. Discovery provides quality insight without very little or no customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better linking between monitored devices to prevent alert storms. This is a feature they are actively improving however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proactive alerting allows us to resolve many issues before business is impacted. Built in intelligence provides insight into applications that would be otherwise difficult to locate.
Software with a view!
What do you like best about the product?
I love my ability to see all assets in one portal regardless of where they are in the are in the world, or which network they are on. From reviewing the health of the network to being notified the second something goes down (or before that when something is overutilized or throwing errors), to at its simplest level, a fantastic reference for me and my team to find anything were trying to identify. Its exactly what we needed and then some.
What do you dislike about the product?
I look forward to future features, such as writing to devices from Logic Monitor, config changes, config restorations, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Troubleshooting network latency issues and keeping assets organized. High level reporting to management for SLAs.
A great monitoring tool with a lot of capabilities and features
What do you like best about the product?
A highlight for the LM support, being able to open a chat in real time with one engineer.
The platform has a huge library of monitoring templates, being able to monitor any device basically.
Also, it supports netflow and collects devices config.
LM has been releasing many AIOps functionalities, among them: grah forecasting, root cause analysis though topology, anomaly detection and dynamic threshold.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the downside is the api rate limit, which sometimes take a long time to export data for a large amount of devices.
The Dynamic threshold functionality is a great concept, but it seems to be inaccurate when calculating the expected values range, in order to fine tune the configuration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a MSP, setting up customers monitoring is way faster with logicmonitor since the devices are identified automatically and start to monitor everything right away. With the netscan functionalities, we can setup thousands of devices within seconds. This saves a lot of time.
Also, the dynamic groups are very helpful for organizing the devices easily.

Great Tool for your network. I am a Jr Network Admin and Logic Monitor helps me see issues.
What do you like best about the product?
I think the most helpful thing is how you can see issues before it becomes a major issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really much about logic monitor that I don't like. The interface is very user friendly and you can navigate easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So we are having an issue with one of our websites. Without Logic Monitor we wouldn't have been able to see the SQL issues on a different server
