Single Best Monitoring Platform Out There!
What do you like best about the product?
We love the Dashboards and the integrations! Logic Monitor allows us to monitor a wide range of equipment all from the single platform, it allows us to focus on the important alerts and simply review the alerts that are mostly noise. We also love how it integrates with our ticketing system and allows for two way communication between the two systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would really love the see a Logic Monitor integration with Connectwise Configurations or CMDB. We would also love the see an integration with both BrightGauge and IT Glue. We are an MSP and those are tools that we use every hour of every day. Honestly the price is a little steep for network monitoring but when you compare what you to what Auvik charges it makes sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wrote a custom API that will finally allow us to monitor Meraki equipment in a useful way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look no further this the best monitoring platform you will come across, we've used them all. Auvik, PRTG, Cacti, Nagios, ETC nothing compares. Logic Monitor has pre built integrations / API's that allow you to focus on your business and not have to worry about having an App/DEV team working for you.
Logic Monitor Certified Professional - Q2
What do you like best about the product?
All of the property options available to monitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maps are tough to use. Setup and knowing how to use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detecting problems with server infrastructure. Thorough coverage of monitoring real-time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think about how you want to organize your infrastructure for ease of use in accessing data in logic monitor
One of the best monitoring tools on the market!
What do you like best about the product?
Logic monitor is easy to set up and edit your alerts and monitors. Once you have used this and fine tuned your alerts, you can easily set up alarms and triggers which help monitor software health. We love the dashboard for just general over view but once your alerts are fine tuned, you can relay on them to alert you of any issues and no one has to stare at dashboards on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slight learning curve BUT it is an easier entry into monitoring and alert tuning than other tools on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring window services and task continually are on, and if service issues occurs alerts alerts triggered.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easier window of maintenance mode.
LogicMonitor has been great!
What do you like best about the product?
The granularity of information we can get from LM
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is a bit daunting at first, until you get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've uncovered performance issues we never would've identified without it!
Why I love Logtic Monitor
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based Monitoring System, believe it o not there are not many out there in the networking monitoring world.
I love the UI structure and Feel, It's so easy to add host and escalation paths based on Alert rules
I love the UI structure and Feel, It's so easy to add host and escalation paths based on Alert rules
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of license is a little high, although I love the fact when you buy a license for a host it includes access to all features
I don't like the fact that there is no really good Logical Network Topology diagram built into the platform that really works with logic monitors UI. I believe as you build out your devices within logic monitor there should be an automated network diagram based on traffic flow and routing protocols, This diagram should give a nice easy to view picture of what may be down in your organization. In my opinion that's the only thing really missing and is so important in terms of a overall network view on a NOC displayed in the IT support office.
The logic monitor smart phone app is a little weak though, It's great for read only i most cases. I recommend spending some time making that better, In terms of what you can actually control on that application. be nice to be able to see my NOC through the app too!!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proactive approach to monitor means we can mitigate issues down time based on host response reported threats and at the very least get an idea of what might be having connection issues during a time of day so I know what to keep an eye on!
We have such a great visualization of our organizations IT layout based on the hosts that were added into logic monitor. We have created a customer NOC displayed in the office, that complimented by emails alerts and text messaging alerts for techs on call makes the whole alerting and escalation system really great. I love the fact that you can ACK and place devices into SDT via text. I'm always one step ahead and normally have time to resolve an issues before the customers call in stating a problem.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend logic monitor to anyone interested in a highly flexible network monitoring solution in an enterprise environment!
Great view with dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
We love the dashboards that you are able to build for visibility with logicmonitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have the ability to build custom maps with building layouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to better visualize what is going on with our network equipement and servers.
Most comprehensive monitoring tool I have used.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible it is. We have a lot of items we want monitored that don't necessarily come out of the box. We are able to use our own scripts to gather the relevant information we need and present it on a dashboard that will make a difference in how we service our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit frustrating that the tool can only return integers, unless you want to create an instance for any strings. This makes getting things like versions difficult. For example, if the version you are looking for has more than one decimal point, that is considered a string. We found a way around it, but not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows our engineers to focus on solving problems, not spending time gathering data. We can present scorecards to clients through dashboards which in the past has taken us hours to gather manually.
Fantastic product
What do you like best about the product?
Putting hosts in maintenance mode is simple. But the best overall thing is Support.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we did not make the leap to LM before now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved a cumbersome install issue, And benefited from the simplicity of creating alerts for any and all systems and proving that they are all the same.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make the switch now... Do not wait.
Great features, automation for monitoring a comprehensive list of device types.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup and robust options for monitoring
What do you dislike about the product?
Small learning curve for locating monitored devices, escalation process and general usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device issue trending. Comprehensive coverage for various client needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great option for providing a flexible robust monitoring solution.
LogicMonitor is Time Saving Magic!
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor is agentless which has been an improved experience compared to managing agents. The DataSource discovery and association of the Datapoints and all of the different types of 'data' is the magical part saving us hours of time configuring a new server or device to be monitored. Acknowledging alerts through the mobile app is full-featured. We are able to see charts/graphs of the data as well as our dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
After-hours alert management and notification to cell phones is not a replacement at this time for PagerDuty or Opsgenie. However, the integrations with 3rd party products exist and seem to meet our initial needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are no longer managing individual agents. We no longer need to customize or have overly broad alerting for all of our Windows Server Services that do not need to be individually monitored on every server. We now can monitor only the services on the servers that are mission-critical. We are no longer finding 'templates' to try to capture portions of the data. LogicMonitor now shows us all of the data and performance metrics. We have discovered issues in our environment that were hidden from us with our previous monitoring solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up a demo and add the servers to your environment. Their demo process works and the free professional services during the trial phase are fantastic!
