it is very easy to use, user friendly, and you get alot of features out of it.
What do you like best about the product?
i like the facet that i can have multiple alarms viewd all in one location instead of having multiple applications
What do you dislike about the product?
the app can be a little more like the web gui
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
indepth analysis of databases and servers health. this saves time also as monitoring can be done remotely
Recommendations to others considering the product:
you can remotely monitor from anywhere and have servers, network, database and also automation of ticket creation done using this tool.
Very functional, rather expensive, not intuitive, poor reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive monitoring and alerting options. This one tool can do what you may need 4-6 tools to do. Alert tools are good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is difficult. Setup and administration of new devices is not intuitive. Expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Does a good job covering multiple monitoring requirements, network, server, storage, facilities, virtual hosts. Also incorporates an SMS alert which some systems don't offer
Solid Monitoring Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Been using LogicMonitor for a couple of years and have had a favorable opinion of the product. Have recommended LogicMonitor to many different folks over the years. I believe LogicMonitor to be our strongest tool we use (and we have many being a MSP).
Many out of the box datasources work well if you're configured for SNMP. There's also: Site Monitors (internal and external), extensive script customization. chat support is quick and supportive (no need to fill out super long emails/forms to get support). Also "LM Logs" is a nice new feature. Additionally the development of LogicMonitor is continuous. Once you have LogicMonitor configured you wont have to do much for your organization. At most you might need to run through your change control to determine if you want to import the updated datasources; that's about the only manual intervention the product needs.
Overall LogicMonitor is a solid product that is worth checking out even if you are happy with your current monitoring tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
GUI updates are inconsistent and sometimes a step backwards, documentation could be a little more friendly to a beginner. The voice robot that calls during alerts could benefit from sounding better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring/alerting of devices in production environments. Benefits include accurate alerting and SLAs for production environments being met.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Receive a free demo from either LogicMonitor or a reseller, only requires a collector installed on a device (Windows required for WMI calls other devices) and give it a go.
Best tool for server performance analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The part I like best is the granularity of various aspects of server performance, like cpu, memory and network usages. It is very convenient to view the current and history performance information illustrated in beautiful graphs and you can easily drill down to short window that you want to focus on. I always use those to troubleshoot server resource and performance issues and show those to our end users looking for root cause analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I need to check performance for multiple servers, I always need to switch back and forth between those servers. I am not sure if there is a way to put multiple servers in the same graph for easy comparison or not. It would be a very useful feature to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used it to troubleshoot server performance issue and to alert usages of server resources exceeding certain thresholds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Logic Monitor has the most details on performance and is very easy to use, no training needed.
Unique tool, I know whats going on with my netwok 24 /7
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is very clear and give you a lot of info of whats happening within your network. Uptimes are valuable info when users say they were not able to work due to downtimes. LogicMonitor gives me enough info to challange those claims. Additionaly The alets give me enough information to determine the impact of the issue before calls start rolling in. This way I can prioritize depending on how critical it is to the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
A remote access tool would be a show stopper from troubleshooting. If we had the abilityt to remote to servers switches and roouters from this tool it would definetly be the go to tool instead of using aditional tools for this. Sometimes I find it hard to sort out through all the information. Not sure if I really need to know how the fans are in a router or the temperture ofthe equipment. If there was a way of setting a default to simple networking trouble shooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Know whats going on and were for remote monitoring of the network. With the tool can prioritize issues and focus on the main issues first. I know when they happen and were. THis way I can sort out my day of troubleshooting the network. Definetly a great source of info about my network. We have a pretty big presence in multiple cityes around the US and have a limited amount of IT staff. This tools can point me in the right direction when things dont work correctly.
Amazing Monitoring tool, Easy and Fast implementation with in hour, dashboards, alert integration
What do you like best about the product?
Auto Discovery which is a process where Logic Monitor determines all the similar components of a particular type.
LM Cloud for Cloud resources is the best monitoring tool.

Its a great SaaS monitoring tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting tool is a bit difficult and require some more details around it. PDF reports require some more work done on them.
Customization is very difficult
Need improvement in out of the box dashboards
Sometimes its hard to enable features and have to go to Support. It requires allot of tuning to enable alerts.
Automatically collect actionable performance data from all of your networking gear which I didn't like.
There's no way to "group" alerts or set up dependencies so there might be a lot of alerts caused by one and the same issue.
Tweaking DataSources, at least as an MSP can be a real pain.
There is some latency involved in transmitting collected data to the cloud for processing and presentation.
Lack in scripting aspect
Integration tool with different Cloud Analytics tool
Pricing maybe a bit on higher side
steep learning curve specially if you are new to Monitoring tools
Datasource issues are bit harder to fix and take days and weeks to fix

Enterprise Level Monitoring with Private Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Monitoring customization is fairly easy to configure and the management interface is user friendly. LogicMonitor is a great tool for monitoring and performance reporting for medium size, multi-platform, IT environments with a simple setup and quick out of the box configure time. In large environments the level of tuning required to keep the false positives at bay can be time consuming.
What do you dislike about the product?
The level of customization needed for multi-platform environments can be time consuming for very large environments. The high number of modules that can be imported can quickly make configuration very cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an IT Managed Service Provider and a Cloud MSP so we have clients from very small to clients that have thousands of servers and complex networks. We have used LogicMonitor for our base monitoring and performance reporting. The detailed reports and performance graphs were very helpful in capacity planning.
With a simple setup and quick out of the box configure time. It was ideal for new client onboarding.

Its been a great experience!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple dashboard we use to monitor all the devices. Easy to see everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have anything to dislike about Logic Monitor at the moment. It has been all positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can view live monitoring of all my devices and like the alert it generates on the dashboard.
Systems monitoring made easy for a novice!
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor is my first in-depth experience with a third party systems-monitoring tool and the while the setup takes a little to get used to, once you've entered several systems, the process becomes simple. The best thing about LM is that we can monitor almost any device/stat within our system from servers, switches and routers to websites. Being able to see everything from the view of the dashboard has made for a simple workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there are so many things to monitor, it can take a bit to "master" setup and tuning to your specific needs.
Have difficulty excluding certain Windows events from monitoring on Windows server environments.
As with most things in a business setting, cost is always one of the first things to be weighed against a tool's features and as it goes with most enterprise solutions, the cost of subscription continues to rise.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to monitor our network infrastructure as well as see all metrics on VMs within vCenter, all within the same dashboard. The ability to customize the dashboard has made for a simple workflow.
The time to check each system for issues has reduced labor hours and allowed for more time to be spent on deployment and testing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give this product a look if you are in the market for monitoring your network and system devices. If you're looking for an "all in one" package, LM could be the answer.
Extensive and easy-to-use monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive and well organized. The structure of the tools is logical and easy to navigate. This meets all of my previously known monitoring and alerting needs and has turned me on to new features that I wouldn't have though of previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs more tools to be added to address all of my monitoring & alerting needs. From discussions with our team at LM some of these tools are being developed now though. Their development cycle seems to be quick and responsive which is promising for the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thorough and valuable alerts to those that need them and very detailed monitoring info for what isn't included in emails. While being easy to use the feature set is extensive allowing for advanced customization and tuning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review the types of devices that you plan to monitor with LM first, review how those are currently monitored with the tool today, and run a test environment if possible. An example is that the monitoring today at Meraki network equipment is different than other equipment and takes more time to set up. It's not bad necessarily but has room for improvement and they are working on it.
