The best options for network monitoring in the IT market.
What do you like best about the product?
The logical monitor provides excellent solutions for network and database monitoring, with a service without interruptions and fully adaptable to your work and technical needs. From the platform we can also provide monitoring options to Kubernetes containers and perform advanced remote monitoring, the technical support is really advanced and provides advice for configuration and implementation on the machines where the service is installed. They provide a polished interface, easy access and technical configuration, ideal for competent users in the IT area, dedicated reports can be managed from the platform to obtain complete data on what is managed by the service at enterprise level. Among the options, the panels are customizable, and I love being able to manage the service from anywhere in the world. It also provides solutions for monitoring in the cloud, the software is complete and intuitive, highly recommend keeping the company in order.
What do you dislike about the product?
The staff for the management of this service must be fully qualified, anyone can not understand and understand the operation of the service, I am not saying that it is a limitation, but in addition to the cost of the software which is high, getting technical operators for the service generates more expenses. The monitoring in the cloud, although excellent, needs to be improved, especially because it is the service we use the most in the company today. I would like to get more benefits in the current plan, I feel I am paying a lot of money and getting average results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The starting point for the use of the service was the network monitoring, however, as we were using the software we started to use other very important functions for our IT team, I want to highlight the use of the database monitoring service obtaining reliable and complete data, the software has also helped us to improve our options with containers and virtual machines performing a great work process. The alerts options have also been implemented with very favorable results, basically this tool is taking care of all the website monitoring we do nowadays including of course our cloud services. There is simply no better monitoring option than the work that Logic Monitor does for our company, we value and admire the service currently provided.
The best logical monitoring solution for your IT department.
What do you like best about the product?
The first plus point I found in LogicMonitor were its dashboards, as they are very customizable, which is very beneficial for the business. They provide a complete view of the infrastructure performance you want for the company, and as other options valued from my point of view, the widget notepad of instances is very useful for analytics, and the widgets for visualization are also very complete and creative. The metrics, both business and executive, are definitely top-notch, and the option to monitor from the network panel all devices and get their performance and status is also another option I love. You also have options to get alerts about the virtual machines that are running; another option highly valued by our IT department is monthly compilations, which are also attractive. Another plus of the service is anomaly detection; the dynamic maps are another level, and the UI modules are another very remarkable feature of the program.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the view of the mobile application; the product has shortcomings in the area of generated reports, with little information to resolve errors. This limits the product a lot, especially because you have to contact the agents to resolve any problems with the service. The documentation area should have general solutions. Another negative point about the software is that you have to contact the technical team to know the real price. Since the software is different for each user, the prices are not the same. They should list their plans and prices. There were some errors when configuring the two-factor authentication, and I would also like more integrations for security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The current main use of this service is in the IT department, as it allows us to perform infrastructure monitoring by automating the entire process; it is also a competent ally for resource monitoring as it provides us with valuable metrics on a daily basis, which benefit us in solving and preventing problems; it is also a complete service for monitoring in the cloud, acting alongside other tools we use such as Azure and AWS; it is also an infallible SaaS monitoring tool fully compatible with the best solutions on the market; and finally, the software for monitoring websites has adapted very well, and we want to increase the licenses in our company.
Robust set of options for network and data monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is really predictive, with a scalable monitoring and functions that are updated with each version, the service support is very complete, you always have an agent pending any inconvenience with the service, they usually answer calls regularly. Their solutions for network monitoring are considerably exceptional, as well as their options to manage alerts, it has an interface with entertaining and updated features in my opinion, it is not like those programs that have obsolete and old interface, its infrastructure to manage the network is undoubtedly the best in the market, I could have no complaints about these functions. The configuration does not require much trouble, an agent can give you guided installation and I find this very attractive and customizable, the software adapts to any capacity and I find this very attractive and customizable, the software adapts to any capacity and I do not find vulnerabilities. You can control all the servers that are managed with a comfortable and easy to work with toolbar, basically with LogicMonitor you can monitor everything you can imagine.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that the LogicMonitor team should work more on the mobile application since it is not as nice as the desktop, another detail not less important is that the software despite being the best in its network monitoring, is considerably expensive, so companies with little purchasing power may choose to use a lower cost program. In some cases the software or network monitoring feels slow, the program consumes a lot of resources of the computer where it is installed, I recommend having UPS enabled on the machines since any interruption damages the work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The software is a monitoring tool that we value a lot in the company, our network systems and infrastructure are always monitored, and we can detect problems thanks to its implementation, our production and development are never affected because we have this software on our machines, we manage many applications together and IT infrastructure, so we always have monitored all the service we offer to customers of our company, it allows us to always detect when something is wrong that's why we value the application so much. It is also an important software as they are of data collection, we always get quality reports that are interpreted by our analysts and professionals in the area, we always receive alerts for example if an ISP fails we will have indicative alerts to fix the failure long before the customer realizes it, it keeps us safe and is important to us.
Logical solution for data monitoring and inspection.
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor offers excellent coverage of modernization in kubernetes container technology and in the Docker cloud, it has solid visibility, and it is possible to share any departmental information from the software, I like the ability to immediately connect to Google Cloud, Azure and AWS public cloud, it also has an excellent IT infrastructure capable of monitoring routers, switches and firewalls, including SQL and Oracle databases. The most attractive thing without a doubt and the strength of the product is the data collection without having to install agents and every device we want to get reliable data. The interface is truly a marvel being able to activate custom alerts, create thresholds to monitor a predefined environment and data correlation options from different devices, widget options depending on the use required, truly LogicMonitor software has everything you need to work data in the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Widgets are correct, but I think the software needs more customization in this aspect, the cost of the product is extremely high, there could be price adjustments and I would not complain. I would also like slight improvements for reports and trend alerts, the software in some cases gets stuck or slow, it would be very useful in some cases to have access to the results from my mobile device, I also need more integrations for now I have only tested the ServiceNow and Microsoft Teams not bad, but they can add many more to improve the experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the LogicMonitor service because it gives us a space in the cloud to collect very interesting data, thanks to this system and its integration with other services we can make use of containers for complex IT functions, it is a solution that provides us with reporting and network monitoring functions. Currently, we design many web applications for the software has also become a strong ally in this area as it offers a powerful operational management for application development, we have some servers in the cloud and thanks to this tool we are also able to monitor them and perform maintenance work.
Holistic Monitoring and Observability All-in-One
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to monitor all of our resources, services and websites in a single pane of glass, and provides us with all the insights we need. It can give you everything you need, and even collect and correlate event and syslogs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires some operational maintenance on the LM Modules and datasources, along with alert tuning to eliminate noise as it monitors a ton of things right out of the gate!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor is allowing us to proactively resolve problems before they happen by alerting us on things like disk space utilization, memory and CPU utilization, Windows Service status and allowing us to do automated remediation of these types of things.
Monitoring and tracking of your entire business structure
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the versatility that this platform has when it comes to start up, it integrates with a large number of applications even from the cloud... Its interface is quite simple, which allowed our developers to undertake a tracking and monitoring of all our social networks, servers, applications and cloud services quickly, easily and virtually automatically. It is worth mentioning that the customer support was always attending our requests for small inconveniences that arose in the beginning, and if a platform provides you with an excellent customer service it assures you a 60 percent success in the results you are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The truth is very few things I could highlight as a dislike, however it could be important for any organization that wants to acquire the benefits provided by this platform to see the cost of their packages, personally I found them quite high and even more if it is a small company that is starting and still does not have a good position in the market. And on the other hand, not being so relevant, the first configuration process tends to be a little confusing; the good thing is that their interface is simple and you will have their support available to help you solve that quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Undoubtedly, just the fact that today thanks to the tools provided by this platform we have the opportunity to maintain a constant monitoring and tracking of all our data is something that keeps us a step ahead even for making decisions on new strategies or campaigns we want to do. Saving time thanks to its automation, and space in working time to address and find a solution to other types of problems that the platform does not take care of automatically.
Real-time data monitoring and analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
The first plus point for the LogicMonitor software is that it is fully cloud based, the user interface is handy and very useful, the installation and configuration is compared to other hybrid programs very simple, just pay for the account access and you are ready to go. The installer is fully automated, the software can also be hosted on Linux operating system which makes it versatile. The dashboards can become complicated to configure on other cloud platforms however I found this one very simple after installation. I also want to highlight the alerts and reports I find that within the platform is a very powerful option, you can run HTTP requests, send emails or SMS for alerts, it is very versatile tool, reports are very customizable having in its infrastructure 16 types to be implemented, no need to worry about email configurations LogicMonitor has its own SMTP server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first shortcoming is that it requires good web connectivity the software does not run without internet connection, they do not give defined prices they give you a 14-day trial, but you have to go through several actions to be able to access the demo, it would be very useful if they set prices for standard packages. Some glitches with the Windows compiler for installation, but I managed to fix it without problems, the alerts capabilities can be extended for a better user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently run the tool for data collection, analysis and exploration which benefits us when solving complex problems in the IT area, it is a versatile tool with which we perform accurate monitoring of our server infrastructure, and comprehensive supervision of virtual machines, it is also a feasible solution for monitoring web offerings in the cloud, even the software adapts very well to servers and network devices. The tool provides alerts which improves performance and customers are satisfied that our service infrastructure is always monitored and well managed.
Data consolidation with a high priority
What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea of being able to set criteria for comparison with other information data between two personas or profiles, so that data can be structured and explored in depth using this software. It helped me to monitor servers, networks, storage and applications in my infrastructure. As a result, I was able to find and fix problems before they caused service interruptions. The support has been fantastic, and the goal of producing a lot of results has succeeded. It's fantastic and has served its strategic purpose admirably.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program has become both a very valuable tool and a nuisance to new users, as the learning curve is a bit steep for newcomers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor is largely responsible for the success of our market strategy, as it allows us to conduct market research and analysis quickly and efficiently. The main purpose of using it is to improve choice. It's fascinating, and it has clearly given a boost to efforts to see projects through to completion. I find it amazing that the software has made decision making so much easier. It is data specific and can be extrapolated to meet other objectives. It has been very useful to us.
A feature-packed solution with excellent stability and a notification system
What is our primary use case?
We installed LogicMonitor as a SaaS-based solution, and we have an agentless approach. We are monitoring the overall interface and not just the network devices. I am looking after the network devices only.
What is most valuable?
LogicMonitor is good for getting a full view of your topologies. They have LiveMaps, which give you a visual representation of your infrastructure. They also have a great notification system. If something goes wrong, you'll be automatically notified. LogicMonitor also integrates with ServiceNow, so you can easily get alerts in those systems.
Another thing I like about LogicMonitor is their dependency metrics. This means that if one device goes down, you won't get alerts for other devices that depend on it. This helps you to quickly identify and resolve problems.
Overall, I think LogicMonitor has a lot of great features. However, I do have some concerns about the deployment process. It's not as straightforward as it could be. Additionally, some of the workflow automation features require scripting knowledge, which can be a barrier for some users.
What needs improvement?
LogicMonitor has good features, but the ease of use is a little bit confusing. Additionally, we are looking for workflow automation, which is a little bit tricky for LogicMonitor. But we are still exploring more and do not have detailed training in LogicMonitor.
Moreover, the deployment process needs improvement. The thing is the deployment or whatever the standard deployment should be implemented here. That is not fine-tuning.
In my personal opinion, for workflow automation and other stuff, we have Python or scripting knowledge, and that part is very tricky. Whenever we try to call the service or the LogicMonitor team, and we open a ticket, it is chargeable.
In future releases, we would like to see a configuration backup manager. A feature that automatically backups the device configuration will help us. So, instead of going with another third-party tool, this will be good.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the product for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability is very good. We have a SaaS-based solution and a cloud-based solution. We never experienced any kind of downtime from them. So, that part is very good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It will be good because whatever knowledge I have with LogicMonitor is limited. I have not been able to fully explore LogicMonitor because of the scripting and other overflow automation concepts. Even courses are not available on working data. So, basically, working on the courses is available for free. I really didn't deep-dive into LogicMonitor.
In our organization, the regional office, we have two major regional offices in the USA, Kansas City, and Mumbai. So, Mumbai's count is 2,000, and Kansas City's is 4,000.
Almost all use LogicMonitor, which would include branch offices as well. So, more than 100 branch offices. We are monitoring one key code universal, and the rest of the branches have separate networks and accesses.
I would rate the scalability of this solution an eight out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support is very good. But the only thing is that if you have some issues with the particular script writing and some customized reports, we have to open the case with them, and that is chargeable. That is what the subscription part is, and what the agreement between our organization and LogicMonitor is, I don’t know. Our dedicated SME handles it in the USA office.
So, if we want to open a case with them, we go to our SME, and they will try to resolve the issue. If not, then it will be chargeable. Last time, we raised some queries, and my management told me that if the query is not solved, open a case, and it will be chargeable.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have been working with SolarWinds for more than four years. So, I can talk about SolarWinds. SolarWinds is good for network monitoring. It has reporting of topology diagrams and all this stuff that we can get over there. Also, a bandwidth analyzer is available, which is a very handy tool. There is also configuration management, which is like an add-on basis. So that is good. But with the recent incident with SolarWinds, it is no more secure. If you wanted an on-premises solution, then probably go with ManageEngine or SolarWinds. But when looking for cloud-based, we thought LogicMonitor will be good for us. We only have to check and gain some knowledge on whatever they provide, the knowledge portal or training. So, that is part training for us.
How was the initial setup?
The team in the USA or the partner who implemented LogicMonitor earlier is not in the proper shape of architecture or deployment. So, it's got some issues with the network device group and servers. So, all are messed up. We decided to fine-tune the hardening of this LogicMonitor.
Personally, the way we implement it here. I feel it is not easy to use.
The solution is deployed on the cloud.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I would rate the pricing for LogicMonitor a six or seven out of ten, where one being cheap and ten being expensive.
What other advice do I have?
The thing is that some features are there, but we have, like, incompetency to add up that feature. So, the product is feature-packed. But some of the features we have to explore still.
Overall, I would rate LogicMonitor an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
The data in LogicMonitor is examined with the use of high quality data
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor's user interface is really simple and all the software's functions are of high quality, so I enjoy using it. We have been able to streamline the management of my systems, increase the efficiency of our operations and ensure maximum performance of our IT infrastructure. The reports and the framework of our study are fascinating. It is the best software for analyzing data in particular. It allows us greater flexibility and control over every step of the process. It works very well for organizations that have large and specialized databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could get instant feedback from support, which is something I really dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to get monitoring up and running quickly because of LogicMonitor's easy configuration and deployment. Adoption can be accelerated and operational efficiency improved thanks to the easy-to-use, well-organized interface that simplifies browsing and configuration of individualized alerts, reports and dashboards. Because of our ability to perform large-scale analysis of shared data, our preference for consolidating the simple but aesthetically pleasing procedures of each individual management and our success in offering diverse information study solutions, we consider it very vital.
