What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Very intuitive, and when difficulties arise, the Arena expert support systems were excellent. Specifically during the transition from a manual document control system to Arena.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it may sound a little two-face, support for the last couple of issues was very slow in response, and in the last two incidents I solved the issue myself, due to urgency, before Arena support replied
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Medical Device Electronic QMS system. The routing and approval process improved an order of magnitude in time to process, and objective evidence that substantiates the changes/release.
I use Arena everyday in my work and its easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The way it manages all the search items, storage capacity, ease of use, tractability, revision control..
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time arena takes a bit of time for loading the page and rest i felt is good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Arena for the documentation purpose and it does a great job in doing that and have a track of all the drawings based on the revision

Will recommend this to other vendors as well
My experience with Arena has been excellent from first contact to go-live and since.

The fact that its a cloud based solution that is intuitive and easy to use.

I really do not have any dislikes with the product.

Product BOM tracking, approvals. Benefits are single portal for keeping track of products, approvals etc.

Initial learning curve was a little tough, but got better with practice.

What do you dislike about the product?
- User interface could be improved
- Overall structure could be more intuitive
- Though I understand the intent is to be a customizable solution for different companies across the board and can be used in different ways, I wish it provided more guidance as to what is the "industry standard"

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving from a manual (paper) system to Arena has improved our overall implementation time for document control. We also have slowly streamlined our document approval process by conducting discussions via Arena instead of creating additional, unnecessary meetings.
We have implemented document control only, but expect to add more modules later.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
One hangup in our use is that we had some manual processes for document review that we were using before, and we decided to re-create those when we implemented Arena. These decisions have hindered our improvements by remaining as cumbersome as they had been when done manually.
I'd recommend to streamline your process first before attempting to re-create the same process within Arena system.

A comfortable complete safe platform, Product information for overall related pepole , Connecting our company guys over the world , NPI Factory, CM Factory , it is close-loop to control BOM informtion, Engineering change, Cost, Qulaity .

The complexities of todays products, business processes, and global environments are more challenging than ever before. Creating new products demand focus. PLM provides a view into the complete lifecycle. It is convenient for us to work.

1. Auto numbering feature during import process would greatly reduce implementation process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping startup companies have a centralized database for all documents that are required to manufacture the product and allowing their suppliers to access the correct documents at the same time. This eliminates email trails; did we give them the right version?

I would still like to have calculated attributes, i.e. LxWxH filed to be used for carton cubes.

Eliminated double entry of BOM's - one in a PLM system and another in an ERP system. Huge time savings.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Arena is an excellent tool for managing BOM data, Product data, Quality data and being able to find things related to a particular model number quickly. We have replaced excel BOM's with Arena BOM's and the change has been fantastic. We no longer email drawings back and forth - we insist vendors use Arena. I can recommend Arena as the best solution I know of for presenting controlled data to vendors to endure products are manufactured according to our design intent. I also love the fact that I can see who has viewed files and when they were viewed. very helpful!

I need to download the updated Cost BOM in Excel files , then I need to updated or edit it . found the excel files not the updated version show (97--2003 worksheet . xls), I need waste time to save as .xlsx .

Via the Arena notice E-mail , we can know the internal agreement quickly , then we can take action quickly .
