Needs Robust Supplier Permissions Transfer
What do you like best about the product?
All the page layouts are clean and organized. Hierarchy view is responsive
What do you dislike about the product?
When a supplier user leaves, there's no easy process transfer visibility of changes to the new user.
Search is time consuming, and defaults to searching on single field instead of searching broadly and allowing user to filter.
Requiring entering password for every approval seems overboard.
Email notifications seem to be an all or nothing, instead of only notifying when an action is needed. And the emails are cluttered

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Controlling the Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Orders and communicating them to suppliers. It has been a big improvement over email.
Great experience for an a high tech electronics design & manufacturing
What do you like best about the product?
Seamlees workflows, functional and pleasant UI, excellent cross form navigation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional lag, could use more flexibility in component sourcing sections, could use more options in output forms and filetypes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved data integrity of BOMs under multiple revisions and with a large # of hierarchy levels
Feature Rich, Great for Fast Implementation, Challenging for External Partners
What do you like best about the product?
Implementation was very easy. The system allows me to control product data without having a full time document control person. It is also pretty easy for new users to pick up. Allows enough customization to fit a small agile business, without creating a months long implementation project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting data to partners not in the ecosystem can be tough. I understand the business case, but when putting projects out to bid, I don't want to have to share Arena info with external folks. Also the ability to add unreleased items to a change, directly from the master change list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hands off product data control. Allows engineering team to focus on product development.
It Takes Two to Tango
What do you like best about the product?
Arena provides the tools to comprehensively support new product introduction and life cycle management. Users need to execute. Added the quality module to enhance our ISO 9001-2015 efforts. Added the training module to round out our compliance management efforts. Their training program was top notch.Their support group is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor issue: Some of the data entry is new a free flowing as I would expect. Too many clicks to get to the desired view. Project management needs some aggressive fine tuning. It misses the dynamic planing and tracking features present in other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation, traceability, communication. The system is very comprehensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Add the training and quality worlds and you've got a really awesome and compliant system. Project management is nice and always improving.

Cloud Based PLM and the ability to access from remote locations

Integration with our CAD system - our CAD system was not compatible

Standardized BOM's equates to quality production and purchasing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Arena PLM is a most for medium to small companies looking to maintain product life management through BOM creation and revision and approval control. Every year there product continues to improve with added features and tools too many to mention
Very useful softwareto manage quality system documentation

The software is very intuitive. Little training is required.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, nothing comes to mind. It has worked well without frustration.

Quality system documentation management. Ease of document management and electronic document approval

What do you like best about the product?
Having product data at my fingertips. Search tools are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I am looking forward to our company expanding the use of more features.

One stop shop for our engineering product data. If it's not in there, it's not released and not available to build/sell.

No simple way to mass delete part numbers.

Turnkey integration of all services provided. The user interface is also very simple, clean and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the updating of files, drawings, etc. When updating a drawing the "standard image" will not automatically update.
