Very good PLM & QMS system overall.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of bulk changes. Flexibility of features. Good assignment visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some bulk change options are not available via CSV (Phase Cycle Changes for example), some modifications have to be made all over again and cannot be modified (Sourcing relationships for example), and items in one change cannot be transferred to another change easily (Very tedious and manual process). Hard to integrate with some MRP systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BOMs, sourcing, documents, and part number management. This makes it very easy to manage projects under a change-controlled environment.
New user to Arena - alot of potential that still needs to be explored
What do you like best about the product?
ECO implementation changing. Once ECO's are received, tracking the change and documenting changes. This is critical for the certifications we are required to maintain.
Arena is easy to navigate and we are starting to integrate some of the different features.
Arena is easy to navigate and we are starting to integrate some of the different features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside is not so much Arena, but the other systems we use are not compatible for ECO changes to be automated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking ECO Changes to ensure they have been not only completed but implemented in all of our systems
Excellent QMS system for associates all the way to senior directors
What do you like best about the product?
The software is extremely comprehensive. You can do everything from training to document change requests here. There is definitely utility in each function for everyone in the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve. Coming from Qualio, some things are less intuitive like document change requests. For example, there's no ability for the user to return a change request to a draft if necessary. There's still a lot of manual work that needs to be executed by someone in document control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena is very helpful in organizing protocols and reports for V&V.
Arena PLM - engineering view
What do you like best about the product?
Single source of truth, intuitive/flexible web i/f
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost per user? To be most effective, all stakeholders require access occasionally, support a floating license?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Timely communication of product release with correct revision documentation available.
Arena is a powerfull tool to manage engineering BOM and documents
What do you like best about the product?
Revision control and easy to use and browse in the preparation of changes are very usefull. customer support provide really fast and accurate support on all of our issue we faced.
What do you dislike about the product?
really difficult to tell, some reports may need to be finetune and also need to mainly create some to help on the best accuracy to get data out from Arena
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
transfert all changes to our product lines BOM and document to release into production
A great tool to organize a team
What do you like best about the product?
A centralized resourse to reference policies and training documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mild learning curve to become familiar with the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes for a one stop shop to direct my team to updates and training resources.
Easy QMS for nearly all aspects of business
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is an incredibly useful tool to keep not only released protocols, reports, and documents, but also traceable drafts and design history files for each of these elements. The numbering and naming system is also very easy to use and intuitive. Arena is an easy system to keep all of the essential business files in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenging aspect of Arena is that there are so many options in the drop down menu, between Items, Training, etc. - that it's easy to get lost in where you are. I've spent a lot of time searching for a training module, only to find that I was in the wrong menu, and vice versa. The search feature also doesn't capture what I'm looking for and I need to enter the exact item number to find my document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena helps my evolving business expand as we increase in scope, from feasibility and development to validation under regulatory guidance.
Using Arena
What do you like best about the product?
It has been very easy to navigate through all the options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes finding the newest revision of a document can be difficult to look for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep track of all the documents that are related to our product and QMS.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can become a more complete system by integrating availability & Lifecycle informaiton of BOM parts, Support for Requirement management and traceabilty, Itegration with ECAD/MCAD tools to manage BOMs & changes without manual entry would help. Though some integration is availble, it comes at high cost and is not much controllable.
Also work flow & inventory management can be added to work as a complete ERP system

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing our QMS trainings, QMS templates and file versions in Arena for the medical projects. Arena helps us with maintaining these items in a structured format and managing approvals for these files. We are also managing the electronics BOM in this tool
Could be good, but unfortunatly is just so bad
What do you like best about the product?
it COULD be extremely helpful, however the interface, lack of any usefull tools, and refusal of the Arena team to improve the product makes it just painfull to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search function is the worst ever invented by man
No way to sort, filter, organize anything
Integration is bad
Exports are bad
Imports are terrible
finding items is simply difficult and time consuming

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I guess it does give us a place to store a bunch of into... that is neato.
But unfortunatly it comes with a very poor interface, terrible search/sort/filtering tools, so finding, using, comparing the data in the system, is orders of magnitude more difficult that it could/should be. (AKA get ready to do everythign in Excel, that Arena should do natively).
