An excellent solution for a company expanding at a fast pace.
What do you like best about the product?
The integrated training modules were a major improvement over our old system that was managed in an Excel workbook. It allowed our Quality Assurance department to easily tailor training to specific job functions, set up automatic training renewal, and provide quizzes to ensure competency. No more going around an nagging everyone and no more late training!
The ability to include BOMs for each item also helps identify all associated documents that can potentially be affected by a change. We had to a lot more digging prior to using Arena to understand the entire scope of a document change. It also enables approvers perform a more comprehensive review of documents and ensures not items are missed.

What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface takes a little getting used to at first. It is somewhat difficult to navigate until you get the hang of it as there are many different modules and tabs that first time users may not be familiar with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena provides transparency to the entire team regarding the current status and progress of new design projects as well as changes to the QMS system and documents. This avoids confusion and redundancy when communicating with other team members and makes meetings more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you fully understand your processes when building them into Arena. This greatly improves the effectiveness and versatility of your work flows. Also ensure that you simulate every scenario prior to implementation to avoid any unexpected work flow issues.
Getting better, but can be better
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best about arena is the Ability to the withdraw COs, that's great. No need to ask Doc control. I've used reliance and element document control systems and they didn't have that function. This a great function save on time by not having to go to doc control to withdraw my CO.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way redlines get added to COs, Adding redlines to COs is somewhat cumbersome, not straight forward. I would like to able to drag in redlines and clean copies on the same page and not have to navigate through the system to link it. Also don't like the way clean copies get uploaded. On the reliance system, I would go to one page and on the bottom of that page I was able to upload my clean copy and my redlines. Very simple and very easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's straight forward for the most part. There is room for improvement
Stellar performances all around
What do you like best about the product?
I like the colour scheme and Ui decisions, as well as basic functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind, what a product!!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our work relies entirely on this system, ir is essentgial to eberything
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Could be more streamlined.
Cut to the Chase, this PLM really does the trick!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of following a item number through the process of inception to changes was very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are quite a lot of clicks to get there, even though the information is there
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no configuration management to begin with and Arena has given us a place to have collaboration and security for all item numbers including software releases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is great software that so far has made it easy to port over changes and information to our EPR system
I greatly enjoy Arena
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is easy to navigate. The ease of use is high. There are good process flow diagrams. The file storage included in the system is a big plus. It is very easy to communicate changes internally to my company and to our external customers and suppliers. It is easy to tell which suppliers and users have access to each individual part. I love being able to see the integrated Bill of Material usages in the system. The "Where Used" and integrated Bill of Materials are easy to navigate. The change management and version history is a huge plus. It is easy to see older revisions and quickly navigate to each change, permanent and temporary deviations. Arena is easily the best PLM software I have used to date. We recently switched and I really enjoy Arena.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no integrated training or tips. At least from what I've seen. Once you understand what to do it's very easy but the initial learning curve is high. I would recommend an easy to use help button on each page. There could also be tips and tricks. Or a FAQ page. Or integrated training videos with help desk personnel. It would be nice for parts that have a 3d model uploaded to be able to see an "at a glance" snapshot picture of the model in the part overview.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document management system and process control. We also use the system as a communications tool for suppliers and as a global team. It is also a wonderful resource to have revision control and historical documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works quite well.
Great system
What do you like best about the product?
All tools required are to perform a work related task is on a single view. Different departments can easily navigate to their section easily. It is very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't want to say I dislike it but I guess the visuals can be made better. This happened to me many times. When I can completing a complaint investigation under Quality section, the view area is very wide. As I am typing, screen moves to the right. That means I have to scroll left and right to read my content.
Also, one improvement Arena team can do is that create an option to filter out items. For example, if I am looking for Complaints type under Quality section, give me an option to filter out complaints by user, type of complaint, open or closed complaints etc. This will be very handy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a Quality Engineer and I use Quality tools a lot. I work on complaints on our returned devices from users. One benefit of using this system is I can see all complaints in one page and it's easy for me to see information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. It's a great system with very user friendly platform.
Good tool for PLM that keeps a large company on track, but has room to improve.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the process of seeing the revisions of a part and navigating to a working revision. This makes it clear which revision of a part you are working on at a time. Having BOM, costing, and all files used as well as a revision history all available and tracked within a part is critical for our company's use case. Additionally, the ability to collaborate with many colleagues around the world with this one centralized database is a very necessary tool for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not love the UI, and I find it a bit challenging at times. Specifically the search feature, with its multiple drop-down menus.
When you click on a tab (requests, suppliers, changes, etc.) it is sometimes not clear that you are actually inside that tab, which can make things a bit confusing.
I also wish that, when looking at a part in arena, the files associated with that part would be immediately available rather than having to navigate through the tabs. This way I click on a part and am immediately shown the available files and can download some or all of them right away.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of having dozens of stakeholders with multiple roles throughout the company all contributing to relatively few parts. That being said, Arena is also a tool where we can manage thousands of parts effectively. It is especially helpful for product development, keeping the BOM and its part revisions very clear.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this tool to navigate controlling thousands of parts and revisions among dozens stakeholders of stakeholders throughout the organization.
Best PLM used so far.
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is a user friendly cloud based PLM that doesn't require memorizing codes and can quickly be taught to other coworkers or to suppliers. Multiple databases link data across the site for ease of traceability. Suppliers can be notified of changes, can submit feedback, and access released information at any time from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Arena allows some things to be changed without ECO (i.e. Supplier Access) which can impact the BOM visibility at the supplier. As a user I would like to be able to change my color scheme, light/dark mode, and layout, but not the information. Limited accounts means we have to swap users and suppliers around more often that we would like.

Lots of Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of functionalities for us to keep records of our parts.

It's not very user friendly and requires some training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep track of part numbers, SOPs and other records on there.
long load times
What do you like best about the product?
it's a functional pdm system, much better than terminal based system i used at a previous company
What do you dislike about the product?
number of clicks required to navigate to different sections of items. Length of time spent on loading screens, but that may be a result of our internet connection
