Outstanding Support, But Frequent Release Issues Cause Delays

What do you like best about the product?
Even though there are so many integration options, some might think that it would require a lot of time to integrate these capabilities into Conga — but no, it is very easy to integrate all these options. The documentation provides detailed steps on how to do this and also mentions which teams need to be involved during the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
For bug fixes, the Conga team takes quite a lot of time, and we are not happy with this. Taking one or two months just to fix a small issue is not good, as it delays our entire business cycle. They really need to make significant improvements in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this product for its services and standard out-of-the-box functionalities. The services and product capabilities are what make this a highly recommended product for us.

Fast Sync and Powerful AI, But Integration Setup Needs Improvement

What do you like best about the product?
The synchronization of documents from Conga Platform to CLM is super fast and that is the reason we are utilizing its AI features. It supports two-way sync from Platform to CLM and from CLM to Platform which is great, as we can create a sync from either side and get the required data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration between CLM and Platform is not smooth, as we are facing multiple issues related to document and data synchronization. The documentation does not have enough details on how to perform this configuration, requiring us to reach out to Conga Support every time we need to refresh an environment and reconfigure it again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga CLM is a great product, and now Conga has its own CLM on the Conga Platform where AI capabilities have been added. From Salesforce, the document goes to the platform and is processed via AI to fetch the required fields and important clauses, and then it moves back to Salesforce. The AI capabilities are limited, but at least they are available.

What do you like best about the product?
Conga CLM is very useful tool. It manages contracts in one place from moment user requests the contract, negotiation, approval, signing, and even renewal. This tool keeps everything organized and speeds up the process
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes migrating the template from one environment to another is getting difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga CLM makes contract lifecycle easier. it helps in managing different type of agreements like MSA, NDA etc...

What do you like best about the product?
Conga CLM is straightforward to use and simple to implement, thanks to its extensive and helpful documentation, as well as its various customer-focused teams such as Technical Support, AMS, and Customer Success. What sets Conga CLM apart is its architecture, which emphasizes modularity and maintainability, making it a suitable choice for organizations of any size or complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Conga CLM has a few drawbacks that I have noticed. One issue is the limited customization available for some of its out-of-the-box or managed flows. Another concern is the licensing cost, which can sometimes make it less appealing for smaller organizations that are more budget-conscious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga CLM streamlines the complex contract management process for our enterprise and services by shortening deal and contract cycles. It improves approval workflows across different departments and increases transparency through dynamic reporting and reliable real-time dashboards. The platform also simplifies our negotiation cycles with its award-winning tool, X-Author Contracts, which not only audits and tracks changes in contract documents but also improves readability and comprehension thanks to its extensive AI capabilities.

Excellent API Performance

What do you like best about the product?
API documentation around Conga CLM is the best, and due to this, we are able to automate our use cases quickly and easily. API performance is quick and accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Which Conga API requires which package installation is not documented properly on the Conga Documentation Portal, causing confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing Conga CLM integrated with Conga CPQ, through which we are creating Agreements from Quotes, moving all Quote data to the Agreement, and completing the Agreement. CLM is helping handle this complex process through automations and APIs.

What do you like best about the product?
CLM Copilot is an amazing feature where we can upload our documents and ask questions about them. It is fast and accurate with its answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring Conga Copilot is a complex task that takes a lot of time and can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us ease our process with its AI feature so that we are no longer required to open the document or even download it, and without doing so, we can get our answers quickly.

Conga CLM APIs are best to use for integrating CLM with other products.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like is that CLM has many supporting products such as X-Author for Contracts, X-Author for Excel, Migration Manager, and Conga Sign, which help scale this product and make integration with CLM very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customization around Conga CLM is hard to do, and for large data scenarios, Conga CLM does not work properly and slows down, so optimization is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use CLM for managing our Agreements, X-Author for Contracts to manage our templates and clauses, and X-Author for Excel for generating Excel sheets out of Agreement data. Migration Manager helps migrate these templates from one environment to another.

What do you like best about the product?
Conga CLM now supports AI features, which is a huge achievement for this product. For the AI feature, we need to purchase the Conga Platform, which is a separate product, and it will extract content from our documents and create agreements automatically — this is exactly what we needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not good that, just to use this AI feature offering of CLM, we are asked to purchase the Conga Platform, as this is an extra product we need to have to use the AI features of CLM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, we used to create an Agreement and then enter some custom field details and generate a document out of it. Now, we just upload a document, and it automatically creates the document in the Conga Platform and syncs it back to Salesforce automatically.

What do you dislike about the product?
Continuous changes to X-author contracts over the past three years have led to increased costs and have required additional user-level training. If changes in versions are unavoidable, there should be support available for all versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Guided workflows help reduce errors and make it easier for sales and legal teams to manage their contracts and tasks. In this era of AI, Conga CLM digitizes every stage of the contract lifecycle—including creation, negotiation, approval, signature, activation, renewals, amendments, and termination—removing the need for manual steps such as emailing Word or PDF documents, which often leads to mistakes and wasted time. Conga CLM also provides robust approval processes that route contract approvals to the appropriate stakeholders, minimizing bottlenecks and accelerating the review cycle. This ultimately enhances the efficiency of contract generation for businesses.

What do you like best about the product?
The stability of the product is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up a new product / new feature is very complex. The configuration must be done in several places. Error messages are not descriptive. Audit history is missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our contract documents are relatively complex. There are various dependencies that need to be considered.
