It provides in terms of developing custom plugins. There are workarounds available in the meantime. Its also impressive to see that Camunda is constantly working on providing migration solutions.

The task list doesnt allow associating candidate groups with an LDAP, which is a hindrance when building workflows.

Camunda is improving process transparency within our organization. It allows us to have an overview of our business processes allowing us not to identify bottlenecks.
One of the best Process Orchestrator
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible and easy to use. Every new version has new functionaltites. Reactive on the forums and on the support. We're iintegrating Camunda in all of our processes and we are expecting a high return on investment in our time to market. Implementing processes in Camunda is very simple and the BPMN standard allows for a common field between the BA and DEV teams.

Using Camunda changes the mindset of process development in a company. These changes are generally difficult to be accepted by business or security teams.

Review about Camunda Services
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of Rules engine in plain English, that makes the learning, maintainability curve easy. The implementation is easy as well. I have been using Camunda Rules for over 3 years now, and we were able to combine around 4200K of rules in 3 DMNs , and reduce the TTB and TTV by 1 month.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see features like excel, json import export.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a product that shows recommendations to user based on user inputs, and there are 4200K possible combinations leading to different recommendations with different scores. I was able to solve this problem by putting all of the cases in rules engine making it easy to maintain and understand.
Best BPMN engine
What do you like best about the product?
Camunda is a robust system our softwares can rely on. We're relying heavily on process orchestration even for system processes and Camunda excels at this.
Once you're familiar with BPMN it's pretty intuitive UI-wise and bridges a gap between developers and more business-minded people.

What do you dislike about the product?
Besides the execution engine they're having a product Optimize which isn't nearly as evolved as Camunda itself. I'd really like to see it ramped up to speed too.
Truth be told we're using Camunda 7.x and will do so for a foreseeable future, as 7 and 8 are like different products, we can't afford such a transition yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I, as the architect of the dev. team enforce process-driven development from top to bottom, and so far Camunda is the best tool to achieve this, while still providing visibility and audit for higher level users.
Enhance efficiency and productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Its great to see that the team is actively working on improving features like authentication and permission handling. The performance benefits make it well worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tasklist support for associating candidate groups with an LDAP, which are limiting. I find it unfortunate that the SaaS solution doesnt provide the capability to create workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has had an impact on our productivity since we easily identify bottlenecks and simplify our processes accordingly. It facilitates collaboration among team members while empowering us to make decisions for optimized workflows.
The best orchestration engine to connect business flows and the technology that drives them.
What do you like best about the product?
Camunda gave us more visibility into our business processes and a way to write executable documentation. Camunda is one of the best workflow orchestration engines I've used; it's light weight and open source, and it not only creates the business but also helps create decision models, which can be easily integrated using Spring Boot Micro Services. If properly constructed, it also provides various troubleshooting possibilities within the system. It may serve as a one-stop shop for determining what the problem is and how to get it moving again in the correct way. I also like the ability to rapidly create reports that inform me how my process is doing and how much value it is bringing to my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd want to investigate whether we can construct a user or system task ad hoc in Camunda running an instance in the future, since this is something available in some of the older workflow engines that Camunda does not allow when migrating an application from the tool old workflow to Camunda. When we have an issue with Camunda, it is not always easy to discover the root of the problem. We are developing our grasp of how the system works (version in the program), but part of this is a filing with our organization and having adequate application management resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved speed when compared to other workflow engines, developer-friendly, unlike other solutions with too much reliance, we can test models or judgments. We were able to standardize and automate operations inside the organization using Camunda. The difference between technical and non-technical employees is also lower, thus the learning curve is less steep as compared to someone who must learn to code in order to automate their processes.
Excellent tool for application integration and process automation.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a technical product that employs BPMN to simplify communication between the BA and the technical team, attempts to support multiple programming languages for customization, and aids in the rapid development of solutions. The platform is user-friendly and simple to browse and comprehend, and the BPMN modeler informs us of any errors in the workflow creation process.
Camunda 8 is a lightweight yet powerful workflow automation platform that helps businesses to streamline their processes and boost productivity, It stands out in terms of innovation when compared to other solutions on the market and is continually improving and taking into consideration new scenarios. It provides a number of features and tools that enable users to model, operate, monitor, and improve their processes, although it was designed with SaaS in mind, it also supports local installation, which is becoming increasingly rare.

What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot undo a deletion; for example, if I collapse a group and then undo it, the entire process is lost and cannot be retrieved. Camunda 8 still needs more documentation on its possibilities; originally, we had to figure out a lot of things by experimenting with different flows in the modeler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Camunda automates manual processes and reduces the time and effort required to complete them; it serves as a foundation for making applications work in synergy to support business processes; and it facilitates workflow modeling using BPMN elements that are easily understood and can be effectively implemented by all stakeholders.
Camunda has helped us effortlessly transition workflows to digital, it has helped many enhance those processes later, the modeler has helped us explain workflows from developers to senior management, and Camunda 8 has been an amazing tool to handle onboarding for a customer with numerous integrations.
