Simple but yet powerful orchestration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Camunda platform is open source and can be easily embedded in a microservice architecture.
It is a very powerful orchestration tool which allows to visually see what is happening in a process instance.

The out-of-the-box task list should be revamped with a more configurable screen layout.

Having many API calls and business rules is very difficult to manage in the code. You can easily lose track of what is happening.

What do you like best about the product?
Developer friendly, lightweight process engine that is easily embedded in existing Java applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing gap between the Community edition and the Enterprise edition is too big.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process orchestration is much simpler and requires less code than a custom code solution.

Excellent documentation and customer support. This is a platform that puts developers first. Extensible and convenient.

What do you dislike about the product?
If moving from Camunda Platform to Camunda Cloud, the new and improved architecture requires significant retooling and redesign, especially for flows leveraging custom code snippets and delegates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of business flows, saving thousands of hours and dollars for the organization.

Ease of navigation of the editor, smooth user interface.

Learning curve involved. It would be helpful if there is more documentation on JavaScript and implement es15 and above

We are using camunda to automate the process which would otherwise be very difficult only with backend.
There are various steps involved in automation process like API calls to server, manual and user authorisation etc.

very limited option available online to explore if you stuck at some point

Easy to find the easiest way to make business process improvement for some process/tasks.

Easy to use, there are more option instead of DMN diagram.
Camunda framework is great for bussiness process management projects.

It makes it easy to see the flow of an application. Also, the history feature in the EE version is excellent. Managing the process instances through cockpit makes it easy to overlook the app.

till now, I did not get any downsides. The UI part can be made more appealing

I am working on a project related to business process management. It's a workflow application. So by Camunda bpm diagrams, it makes it easy to give the application a flow
Best Workflow Engine
What do you like best about the product?
Setting up the variables in the workflow. Easy set up with Spring Boot Application. Report Generation using pre available APIs. As a tech writer i used it for multiple purposes. Also code snippets provided at Camunda website is really helpful and meaningful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be Good if discussion forums can be expanded. There is lack of technical support. But if we compare it with other BPM engine provided by IBM, camunda bpm engine is easy to use and integrate with business problems.

If you are planning for a small process management tool go for Camunda bpm engine due to less manual work and offered functionality.

we have camunda forum for any queries but still other than camunda document, we wont get any tutorials or videos regarding camunda, dmn and CMMN
