Jamf Pro in Higher Education
What do you like best about the product?
Through my job duities I spent a considerable amount of time evaluating Apple MDM solutions. There are many products that can do the job, but none quite as well as JAMF Pro. The interface is extremenly easy to use. The setup and implementation was a breeze. It integrated very well with our instance of Micorsoft Azure for SSO. As the primary Apple support technician, I frequently used JAMF Pro, if not on a daily basis. The defining point though about JAMF Pro is the incredible customer support and the support of the JAMF Nation user community. A+ 10/10 Would reccomend.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one significant downside of JAMF Pro is the cost. There are many other products that are significantly cheaper or are bundled into existing licensing agreements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro made it easy for me as the sole Apple support technician to manage over 1,000 devices with little to no stress.
Love Jamf! Makes our day to work so much smoother
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, functionality, great information, customer support, daily use.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little complicated to settle into, but great once you fully get adjusted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laptop deployment - with Zero touch, the process has gotten so much smoother!

Additional discounted pricing for education customers
Delegated roles/tasks do not have sufficient elevated privileges such as running scripts, require full administrative privileges

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We did not have a unified platform to manage Apple devices/assets owned by the institution.

An amazing product for an amazing team
What do you like best about the product?
I would literally be lost with this product. It makes managing my macOS and iOS devices super Straightforward and easy .
What do you dislike about the product?
Feature I do wish it was a little bit bit. Better was the remote Help feature.

It is helping us solve the management of all of our Apple devices, keeping in one spot. And a easy to use platform

What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use, easy to get devices on the system, and easily implemented across our entire company. Can set it and forget in a lot of cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to find the login page for the version of Jamf that I use.

Allowing us to manage our company devices effectively and easily.
No better management for Apple Products
What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which policies/profiles reach machines.
What do you dislike about the product?
OS updates can be tricky without 3rd party tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our setup process for work machines is virtually zero-touch. The only reason it isn't is because our company policy does not allow for it at this time, but jamf is more than capable. With an ever changing work environment, we are able to push updates and policies within minutes to keep our machines up to date.
Jamf Pro is a useful product
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of control and customization that comes with Jamf Pro out of the box. I am able to do a large amount of work within the Jamf console, but there are other opportunities to expand what Jamf Pro is able to do via the API. I use Jamf Pro daily to address the needs my organization has. When I have questions about the product and how it functions, I can always reach out to their wonderful support team and get answers to any question I have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Pro has very limited downsides, some things aren't intuitive immediately, but one I became familiar with the system I have not had many issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro offers a simple way for me to manage our organization's fleet of Apple devices, including Apple TV's which is not a standard feature of all MDM software.
The way to manage my remote IOS devices!
What do you like best about the product?
Up sides: easy to use, implement, manage, Customer Service is incredibly knowlegeable and responsive. Easy for me to lockout/manage/set up/troubleshoot for my disbursed workforce on multiple devices nation wide.
What do you dislike about the product?
The key is to set up the devices correctly the first time BEFORE you ship them out. Not a fault of JamfPro.

Ease of use and good insights into macOS devices

Older UI and would benefit from improvement.

Software is user friendly to use. Getting assistance on issues w/Jamf Chat is great.
What do you like best about the product?
Software is user friendly to use. Locking down devices and locating devices that are lost or stolen is great! Setting up security protocals is great to have on iphones. Less issues w/phones and staff using iPhones. Having Customer Support trouble shoot and solve issues w/phone is great! Setting up iPhones in Jamf is easy. I am able to access Jamf easily to check on devices, add or remove them from Jamf frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
As the Administrator, I cannot find anything about Jamf that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Issues w/iPhones when staff leaves the company and accessing and resetting devices. Staff are unable to download software w/out approval from Management. It is helping us locate lost & stolen devices. It is helping keep apps up to date on iPhones.
