iCIMS is a well-rounded ATS
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize our hiring manager's view of the system, and the ease of submitting candidates through the workflow process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love the ability to be able to easily search a candidate by phone or email. The process for searching that way is very tedious currently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we're working on determining our best advertising and referral sources. Being able to track these easily through reports in iCIMS is a great benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
iCIMS is the most well-rounded ATS I've had the opportunity to use. It is very user friendly and allows for a lot of customization to better meet the needs of your business.
Great ATS and excellent customer service!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about iCIMS is the ability to recruit and onboard your candidates seamlessly within the same system and customize with any training videos necessary for your company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of customization that needs to take place on the front end, this can involve some trial and error to find out exactly what fields are necessary for your company's portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have reduced our spending in recruitment costs by having different job boards scrape from iCIMS, in turn, this has led to more efficient recruiting.
Enjoying iCIMS!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to do several things at one time is probably what I enjoy the most about iCIMS. I am able to send "screened out" letters to all unsuccessful applicants with one click. The option to add variables in the emails are very helpful. It allows the emails to be personalized as it customizes the job title and job location applied for and the candidates name.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how we have to go to the candidate's "Person Profile" to access additional documents such as cover letters and candidate questionnaires.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are figuring out where it is the best to post jobs on based on where we are getting most of our applicants from. Also, we are able to allow a select amount of people access the resumes and cover letters. We are also saving time on tedious tasks because iCIMS has a lot of automatic features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great applicant tracking system. Contains all of the features that we were looking for! I highly recommend!
Loving iCIMS
What do you like best about the product?
I love the constant improvements and updates- they're always working towards a better product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in a while, we'll get a glitch in the system. It's usually hard to explain what's going on so it's not easy to fix/troubleshoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system is helping us (my team in Recruiting along with our HR team) go paperless and automate many different processes. The application process is much more user friendly- plus I like that candidates can login and see if they're being considered.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great! It might take a while to implement and customize, but it's so worth it when it's up and running.
Meet Expectations, Continues to Improve.
What do you like best about the product?
Constant improvements to the system being made. Easy to interface with other systems. Extensive help desk, forums, community for everyone to participate in. Never feel unsupported. User interfaces, searches, and other aspects currently being updated and re-looked at which is making it easier for users to learn the system and how to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features can be difficult for all users to learn to use at first. Some features are missing aspects you would expect to find in similar products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for tracking on data that we are audited for and for records retention. Able to pull metrics for recruiting performance and business performance. Streamlined many manual processes through the platform to ether make automated or semi-automated, creating more time to spend on important tasks. Creating a more thorough integration with internal HR. Helped close the gap on time-to-fill to create a more seamless and automated system.
iCIMS is a quality ATS for a mid-size company
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and good customer service from the Help Desk.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automatic job posting add-on, Job Target, is not as user-friendly, but it gets the job done and better than posting to websites individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Electronic storage of information, quicker/less manual hiring process, pre-screening questions help select candidates faster and both the hiring manager and HR rep have access to candidates at any time
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Map out your hiring process first and then discuss it with your implementation person to be sure you're using features that help you save time.
Great Recruitment Tool
What do you like best about the product?
ability to manage candidates, leave notes, track the source, move the candidates through the hiring track, ability to search the database, ability to use other job boards in conjunction with icims to increase candidate pool
What do you dislike about the product?
It was difficult to transition to this applicant tracking system at first. The trainings offered certainly helped, however, it took a bit to be able to utilize it more efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
case management recruitment ; case management is a very niche market and I've definitely realized that utilizing the database is a great tool to be able to find more specialized candidates in addition to other job boards.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the offered trainings on the website, follow along as you go to get acclimated, ask questions, practice, and efficiency will come.
Still learning the ropes, all good so far!
What do you like best about the product?
I am still learning how to navigate the system. My experience so far has been good, it is organized in a fashion that is easy for me to learn and utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the issues I have run into have been addressed by our support team. The only problem I do see is when I get an email notification of someone applying to a position, it does not tell me what the location is they applied to. I am pretty sure it is how we have posted the job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love how I can house important documents in one location for our credentialing team to have access to and a candidate can edit the form we send to them
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a neatly organized system and easily utilized by all members of our HR and Recruiting for access to our candidates as they go through the hiring process.
Working as User Admin for my company
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting is great for in depth understanding or recruiters progress and job statistics
What do you dislike about the product?
System Configuration is confusing and hard to use
Time to fill for job with multiple openings is difficult

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting information to clients, can show them specific information they are looking for
iCIMS Review from a Recruiter / Administrator
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how we can personalize all the different steps and processes within the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like some more guidance and support on best practices on how to set up our system. There are so many options it can be quite cumbersome. We roll out things to the field and then learn there is more to it and then the field gets so many updates from us it feels like our system is never at a point of just functioning so we can do our jobs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The largest business problem is rolling out a brand new recruiting function within our organization. With the ATS we also have a centralized staffing team to support certain levels of the positions.
However we do expect the field to manage their own recruiting. So, teaching the field how to use the system and follow the correct recruiting process is our biggest challenge.
For those in the field that embrace the process they have seen a big positive impact on their ability to fill their vacancies. I have seen a couple buildings take their # of openings down from 15 to 2-3 openings.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The biggest recommendation I have for new customers is to first understand all the different product lines iCIMS offers. You'd think if you bought the Recruit program - then you could source from you candidates but that is a different product line. You need to understand what you need then buy the correct product lines.
The other recommendation is to request a dedicated Account Manager to support you on building out your system the best you can before launching it. We rolled out an off the shelf program and going back to create all our work flows and educate the field is a big challenge.
The ease of use and flow of the process is really smooth once you have the right programs and the right workflow built out.
