Secures internal and external emails while reducing manual quarantine management

What is our primary use case?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is used to secure all incoming emails and emails within the organization.

All PDF files and attachments are scanned while sending an email from one user to another within and outside of the organization.

It is also used to block users from receiving spam emails.

What is most valuable?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration works seamlessly with cloud email providers such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace, and it also provides security to collaboration tools such as Teams, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Slack.

It is very easy to set up, requiring only about seven clicks and two to three days to receive all information from the mailboxes and provide details about partners, shadow IT, and other relevant information.

Regarding threat detection, it provides additional security to the already inbuilt security from Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.

It blocks security threats and malware that have been passed on by Microsoft Office 365 EOP and works inline with all cloud email providers.

The amount of resources required to conduct a deep dive into email security has been reduced because of its automation feature, which allows users to manually restore quarantine files at their own risk.

Previously, when using other email security providers, logging in daily was necessary to remove all quarantine emails.

Now, users are notified of quarantine emails and can be provided access to release them from quarantine.

What needs improvement?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration can be improved because it currently only supports email in the cloud.

If you have an email server such as Exchange or Zimbra, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration will not support it.

Support for on-premises email servers would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been used for about a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

There have been no issues with its scalability feature; everything is working fine.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support has been awesome, providing prompt responses to all emails.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, a different solution was not used, but access to Barracuda was available.

With Barracuda, manually changing the logs was necessary, which was tedious.

Compared to Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it is much simpler, the dashboard is also simpler, and integration with all cloud email service providers is very simple.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Barracuda was being evaluated.

What other advice do I have?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration came in competitively with its competition, making it a good deal.

Fewer employees are needed since there is no requirement to continually check email and quarantine email, and time is also significantly saved.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is one of the best products to purchase if you do not want to compromise on security and want to save time.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is protecting against phishing account takeover attempts in platforms like Microsoft 365. Since email is the most common entry point for attacks, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration helps us by scanning inbound and outbound messages, blocking malicious links or attachments, and preventing credential theft.

We had a situation where a spoofed email appeared to come from our finance department, asking for urgent payment approval. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration immediately flagged it as suspicious, quarantined it, and alerted our team before anyone could click on the link or respond, preventing what could have been a costly business email compromise.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration also made a significant difference with internal account takeover attempts. In one case, an employee's credentials were phished through a fake login page, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration detected unusual login behavior from an unfamiliar location, automatically blocked the session, and forced a password reset.

What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers include malware and ransomware defense, which employs sandboxing and behavior analysis to stop advanced malware hiding in attachments or shared files.

The sandboxing feature stands out to me because it combines deep behavioral analysis with pre and post-delivery protection, which many competitors do not offer.

The unified dashboard provides a single view of email and collaboration security events across platforms like Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint, reducing the need to jump between multiple consoles.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted our organization by preventing phishing attacks and account takeovers in security files and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint, reducing response times through automatic quarantine and post-delivery remediation.

Support could be improved, as it is only available in English.

What do you like best about the product?

The alerts can be overwhelming due to the large number of notifications about potential threats, making it difficult to quickly identify the most critical issues. There's really little that needs improvement.

I solve the problem of phishing and malicious email attacks that used to flood our users' inboxes and create serious risks. It automatically blocks suspicious links and attachments, reducing the chance of someone clicking on harmful content.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Harmony's integration with Microsoft 365 and how it protects our users across different departments from phishing and malware without disrupting their workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think fine-tuning alerts requires some experience and trial and error, especially to find the balance between detecting real threats and avoiding false positives. It would be helpful if the platform offered more guided recommendations.

What is most valuable?

The best feature of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is the zero-day threat prevention. Zero-day threat prevention made a significant impact on my organization. A few months ago, our employees received an email, and threat prevention detected it immediately. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted our organization in terms of security posture and user experience. With Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration technology, I feel safer, and incidents have decreased significantly.

What needs improvement?

The interface of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration could be made easier to use.

In the past, one employee received an email that looked like a legitimate Microsoft Teams notification, prompting them to click a URL to join a meeting, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration flagged the message as a phishing attempt based on behavioral analysis and threat intelligence. The URL was pointing to a spoofed login page designed to steal credentials. The reporting is excellent, and the integration of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is excellent because my company uses Microsoft 365. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Harmony Email and collaboration is ease of deployment and integrate it with the Microsoft O 365 and other Saas applications. It provides the integration with teams and sharepoint as well
What do you dislike about the product?
The most disliked thing about Checkpoint harmony email and collaboration is the security engines configuration limitations. The logs are also not accurately visible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Harmony Email and collaboration helping my organization to be safe across the different platforms by protecting user from teams, sharepoint and email threats which are globally increasing day by day.

What do you like best about the product?

Sometimes, filtering can be too aggressive and block legitimate emails. It requires periodic adjustments to avoid missing important messages.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is protecting cloud-based email and collaboration platforms, primarily Microsoft 365, from malware, phishing, and account takeover attempts.

I can provide a specific example of how I've used Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to protect Microsoft 365 from phishing threats. The sales teams received a phishing email impersonating our boss in the sales department, asking them to approve different transfers. The message looked convincing, using internal branding and a spoofed domain that closely resembled our own, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration tagged the message immediately using AI-based intent analysis and domain spoofing detection, quarantining the email before it reached the user's inbox and sending an alarm to the support team.

In another situation, we had a case where a user shared a OneDrive link externally that unknowingly contained a file infected with a macro-based Trojan. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration scanned the shared link and blocked the download in real time.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my organization by resulting in fewer phishing incidents. Since deploying Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, we have seen a 40% drop in phishing-related alerts and user reports. I would rate this product an 8 overall.

What do you like best about the product?
I greatly appreciate the excellent integration with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Setup was straightforward, and the validation of email traffic and user behavior has helped us respond more quickly to incidents.

The threat intelligence feeds appear to be very up to date, which gives us greater confidence in our overall email security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly like the alert system; it can be overly sensitive. Sometimes it flags harmless links or internal messages as false positives, wasting time checking them.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects our cloud-based email and cloud collaboration platforms, primarily Microsoft 365, from phishing, malware, and account takeover attempts.

I use Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to protect against phishing or account takeover attempts by having a user receive an email that appeared to be a Microsoft 365 login alert with a convincing subject line and branding. However, Harmony flagged it immediately due to a suspicious sender domain and a malicious link embedded in the message.

What is most valuable?

One aspect that stands out in my day-to-day use of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is how seamlessly it integrates into our existing workflows without disrupting users.

The best feature of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is advanced threat prevention because Click-Time Prevention rewrites URLs and scans them when clicked, blocking access to malicious sites even if the email appears legitimate.

URL scanning and Click-Time Protection in Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration have been critical in our environment, especially as phishing attacks become more sophisticated.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration integrates smoothly with Microsoft 365 via API, so there is no need for agents or complex setup.
