A large set of connectors to automate simple tasks. Users can focus on added-value tasks

Requires a good design phase at the start to achieve a successful implementation (consulting to help is important)

Have a collaborative data glossary that links business terms to their uses. Improve the quality of data for structuring/governed data.

The import tool is really impressive and can connect to a ton of different tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
Versioning, backup and deployment management lag behind other features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datagalaxy allows us to quickly visualize all the interactions between our different systems, from the raw data in the database to its display on user screens, including all its transformation stages. This allows us to quickly make decisions when updating our system and respond to regulatory requests.

Easy to implement and easy use for business and technical profiles profiles

No notification by email when contacting another user within the software.

Business users had trouble understanding what was behind our data. Datagalaxy has made it easy for use to share that king of information.

Nothing to signal. The product answers our need.

Centralize all our data assets in one plateform.
The product helps our user to navigate and track the source and transformation using the lineage.
We can easily present a data model using the diagram feature
And the Glossary helps us define the functional terms.

The best product of its kind
What do you like best about the product?
We were looking for a product that would allow us to visualize complex data lineages and DataGalaxy stood out not only in its UI but also in the fact that it was relatively easy to install in our cloud account and because it has APIs to manage content inside of Data Galaxy.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are multiple small improvements that would increase the usability. Some of them being: we would like to use our own terminilogy in the UI. Improvements in the easy of use of the APIs and in installation would be great. But we've also seen that over time Data Galaxy team has fixed issues and imrpved its functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use it for lineage. Some of the users use it for documentation.
