What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed Maas360 support, they were super helpful and always reliable with any bugs/fixes or any help. It was excellent for tracking android devices I was managing about 90 Samsung Tablets, and pulling reports on whether they were checked in or not were really helpful to operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface was a little challenging, took some training and some time getting use too, some of the items that were really simple seemed complicated and renamed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: Tablet Tracking, Management of Tablets, Pulling Reports, Setting ScreenSaves, Policies & Rules, Pushing out updates

MaaS360 review

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having all of our companies selected mobile devices on MaaS360 with specific policies applied to each one dependent on function.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard could be a little snappier to navigate. I often need to go from devices to users depending on what I'm doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tablet lockouts, app distribution and updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Licensing can be costly for a smaller company. However if you have a lot of company owned devices and want protection. It's definitely to be considered, with the amount of features available to lock down a device tightly or enough to meet company security standards.

IBM Maas360 for Enterprise Use

  • August 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM provides a full suite for MDM usage. The support and level of capabilities is sufficient for the vast majority of enterprise needs. The system works with all endpoint devices, so it is a vital part of an enterprise suite.

In addition, the interface is very easy to use. As an administrator, I would highly recommend it. You can setup a lot of items directly in the tool.

The cloud based version of the tool also made it very easy to deploy with minimal setup of infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the automation can be improved. Based on what I have seen with other endpoint software, automation has become a key part of any implementation. Customers want hands off implementation and there is still some areas of improvement for automation.

One of the key capabilities we are looking for was the synchronization with active directory. When a user gets added to a group, a change is made on their mobile device. Although this synchronization worked, it happened overnight. We were hoping that it would be more instantly done for the user. This would be something for them to improve in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we are now managing enterprise devices, we need to be able to deploy appropriate apps and security to our end user devices effectively. Maas360 brought that capability early to Newell Brands and let us deploy that capability. Over the years, the tool has improved in those capabilities as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure it supports all the device types in your organization. Also, make sure you know all the integrations you are looking for and check the compatibility. If you have custom mobile apps, you can setup an internal app store for them.

What do you like best about the product?
the functionality of the application on ios devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it would run similar to the native ios app on the phone. It still gets the job done but it looks different and feels different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently were trying to customize for everyone in our company since every person has user preferences. The benefits of having is that it separates everything from email to contacts on our system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure people are comfortable with the app interface.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clearly defined tools, user interface and starter overlay
Easiest deployment compared to other product offerings
Easier to integrate with MS Azure Active Directory
Policies are straight forward to create or you can use existing default policies and modify them.
IBM account managers offer a good level of support during implimentation, without extra costs
Licence pricing structure is easy to understand and reflects product features that are being deployed
IBM will continue to develop and enhace Maas360 to offer extra tools and feaatures present in other products
What do you dislike about the product?
It may not be as comprehensive as other competitive product. However, it makes up for it by being probably the easiest to deploy and customise. Some competitor products, while offering extra tools, are a lot more complicated to deploy and customise, and their support is patchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device and data security are the main issues to address, especially with mobile device.
The benfits are that users devices and data are protected to a higher level and enabled to be compliant with GDPR.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having tried a number of data and device security platforms IBM Maas360 was the easiest to deploy, with a comprehisible licencing price structure and good support.
