Highspot - great asset for sales+marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that we can have all our assets in one place and sorted by persona, pain point, and needs.I love the fact that our sales team can create customized value sites for their prospects and add all relevant assets. I also love seeing the performance of those value sites!
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to see which company has reviewed the asset when value sites are shared externally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Highspot we're now able to have a one stop shop with marketing events, webinars, and updates for our sales team.
Easy for Marketers, Easy for Sellers!
What do you like best about the product?
The search functionality for all of our content. Before, we stored all content produced in a complicated shared drive and folks had to know the name of the file... It was a mess. Now all users can quickly search a keyword or phrase and pull up any assets that mentioned the keyword/phrase or are tagged!
From within a single page reps have access to webinars, one-pagers, presentations, and customizable landing pages where they can create pitches and web pages customized and dedicated to a single prospect or opportunity, and track the engagement of their activities. With the formatting and flexibility Highspot can be used as a central repository of all knowledge and learning, one single source of truth for Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, Product Development, Customer Support / Success, externally-facing teams, and more!

What do you dislike about the product?
Would like administrators to be able to see what content is being downloaded to ensure that outdated content isn't accidentally making it to customers. We continue to face sales requests to "download" content and then (presumably) continue to share this content from their local machines.
We also ended up making quite a bit of a pickle for us by adding single slides as a single Highspot asset for easy remixing. That backfired quickly!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we had before Highspot was the content wasn't easy to find and we had a major version control issue. The biggest problem solved by our company has been getting all the content products into a centralized place that can be easily navigated. Creating a governance around Highspot between our sales enablement team and our content creators has allowed us to do regular reviews of content and ensure we not only have updated content but also don't have gaps in our content.
Marketing + Sales Alignment
What do you like best about the product?
Highspot has become the defacto resource across sales and marketing. We now link everything back to Highspot when it comes to updating our internal stakeholders on marketing events, new collateral, etc. This helps keeps the latest and greatest at the fingertips of our sales organization. We also like using customized pitches - slightly different use case than what our sales team uses it for but it has become a great way to build out any microsites with a set of materials and to have the ability to track views and downloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be improved. Even with a diligent process behind using tags it's still pretty cumbersome to find thing ad hoc unless I've already favorited a spot.

Consolidate sales enablement-related content.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the efficiency Highspot has brought my life. It's so much easier to navigate and find information!

There are a lot of terms to learn, it's confusing at first!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's always been hard to find the information needed to respond to clients quickly. I no longer have to ask the team for someone to send me the most updated marketing collateral. It's all in one place!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how they are always innovating. I meet with our reps monthly and always have something new to share. They ask really great discovery questions and show strategies that align with what's important to me.
HighSpot also has really great templates for enablement docs. For example, I used to write competitor battlecards that weren't very actionable. I've since changed up the format to HighSpot's "What to Know, What to Say, and What to Show" and the reps use it a lot more.

What do you dislike about the product?
We hated losing our beloved rep, Napoleon but then was relieved when were assigned a new Account Manager, Nicole who is just as consultative and a resource for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's crucial that Sales has the most up-to-date resources to send to their clients at their fingertips. HighSpot makes it really easy for me to tag and update docs so that I can ensure our team isn't sending out old packages/pricing.
I haven't scratched the surface yet on how I can use to onboard new reps. I also am excited to dig more into the data and analytics of which pieces of content are most consumed.

Highspot for Sales Content - from a content manager
What do you like best about the product?
The editing options & ability to "feature" content on a page. It is also awesome how you can link to buttons for specific content pieces. I also enjoy the wide range of content you can house: videos, ebooks, case studies, slicks, etc. & the organization within the software is great. I very much love the tagging structures Highspot has in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can pinpoint that I don't like is the search functionality is not the greatest. It pulls all content, so sometimes you need to be very specific.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now our biggest problem we're solving is for international expansion. we are able to create Smart Pages and different Spots in order to have regional content located in one, easily-accessible place. The benefits of Highspot's tagging structure in place enables us to iterate across our organization. We have taken tips from this and applied it to our content that is housed in other softwares.
Very Valuable Tool to scale our Customer Success communication channels
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and ease of use of highspot. We've got very creative and using it for multiple purposes such as our customer newsletter and Customer Success channel of communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation on the sharing feature (maximum of 50 shares) and also the lack of ability to customize the link of the pitch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to improve the communication channels between our Customer Success Team and our customers. We were able to use it to create a custom place for each of our CVMS where they can add their personal touches to communicate with their accounts.
Great Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
Customer support team is very attentive to our ever changing needs. If the product does not currently support what we are looking for, they are always willing to find a work around for us. Additionally, they take into consideration these needs and add them to the product roadmap, which keeps us inspired as a customer. The ability to use groups to provide content to different people we enable has allowed us to focus on producing more and more content, not on how we need to go about sharing it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The bookmarking of content can be a bit confusing, especially when you are using different groups for different sets of consumers (ie. prospect v. partner). The use case being when you have to go back to the original spot to edit the specific bookmarks. I understand the functionality helps with organization, but it can sometimes be hard to identify where something originally belonged. All and all looks great to the consumer, which is the most important.

Engagement with marketing material by prospects, customers, and partners has ben up due to Highspot's easy to use interface and the ability to search for content at ease.
Organization for the unorganized
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it removes the time it takes to search your desktop for a piece of material and then have to check the dates for which they were saved to see which is the most current. I am a very direct human and having it right at my fingertips without having to second guess if it is the right one give me time back in my day to do what i do best and that is closing business

I honestly haven't seen anything yet - it is hard to get use to imbedding videos and creating the content like plays etc BUT it is like anything that once you are in it and doing it you can figure it out

What do you like best about the product?
There are many features I love about Highspot! First and foremost, the time saved for AE's, the professional layout when sending follow up items to prospects will make us standout from our competitors, the ability to track when and what prospects view, and the ability to keep our materials secure from competitors. Thank you Highspot!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial naming conventions within Highspot are different from the internal language we use, so that takes a bit of adjustment to learn and put into practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still learning where certain documents are located. Its easy enough to just search in the main search engine for now but once we get numerous documents in here with the same key words, it could become cumbersome.
I love that we will only have 1 document version and the most updated version for all documents, everytime.
