A great way to enable your sales team and other cross functional stakeholders

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Highspot provides a central location to publish sales enablement materials to. As a product marketer, it is great to know that the materials I create to support sales have a place to live where they can easily be found and utilized. I can also publish materials on user friendly and visually appealing spots that help support telling a product story to the sales team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding my way around the backend of Highspot was a little challenging at first, but not something that couldn't be figured out with time. Highspot has a lot of great support materials that helped guide me whenever stuck. Their customer success team has also been extremely supportive, and is working to help my team and I accomplish our specific goals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working to continue improving our platforms usability. We want everyone in our company who is visiting Highspot to be able to find the materials they are looking for quickly, and easily. Highspot has an abundance of templates ready to help us re-design pages and do just that!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a company to seriously consider using!

Powerful and easy to use!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. With sales teams having so many different tools being able to leverage our content in highspot and even customize the landing pages to quickly send to their prospects is not only time-saving and efficient but provides a great experience on the prospect's end as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be some improvements to how forwarding content can impact analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share documents and content with our prospects and view the status of those engagements to be sure we continue to follow up appropriately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For sales and marketing teams trying to find new ways to encourage reps to share content with prospects and review their engagement, Highspot is the best tool around!

A single source of truth

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having a single source of truth and clarity around where the most up to date sales and marketing collateral live. I don't need to waste time searching through Google drive trying to figure out where the relevant material is. Also, as an admin user, I am able to collaborate with our sales enablement and marketing teams, pairing marketing collateral with process documentation and training modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The simple pains of having to change my habits and get used to leveraging a new platform. Thankfully the pain is only temporary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into what content is working best for our sales and client experience teams so we can promote best practices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highspot does an amazing job in providing a ton of support throughout the onboarding process, however, it will take a lot of heavy lifting from the client to get the platform built out.

Highspot is the CMS to bet on

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Highspot's content management system checks all the boxes:
- Great content repository with AI searchability that makes it easy to find what you're looking for
- Sending pitches (external sharing of content) is easy (in-app or Gmail) and comes with great tracking insights
- Integrates with a lot of tech (Clari, Slack, SFDC, Outreach, LinkedIn)
- Collaborating with other content creators make for a convenient way to showcase other department's work for our reps to use
- AMAZING customer success/account management that really feels like a partnership -- arguably the most important item on this list
What do you dislike about the product?
From the admin perspective, navigating the settings and configuration can be a bit tricky at times. I find myself leveraging the help center or reaching out to my customer success team when I'm stumped on how to find what I'm looking for.

Another area of the solution that Highspot should continue to invest in is the "Pitch Styles", which are prepackaged content pages that have customizable design features. These are slick, but they can be tricky for our sellers to build, save, and reuse. Not rocket science, but it could be a more intuitive workflow in order to unlock that value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Highspot to surface the latest and greatest content so there's no question of what's "up-to-date vs stale". Because it's easy to get other departmental content creators involved, we've nicely organized where specific content lives. It's a single source of truth for content. And it's convenient to leverage the analytics to see which content to promote vs sunset to keep things fresh.

content management that is not confusing

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- easy navigation and straight forward platform
- not only valuable for sales teams but also customer success
- all content to efficiently work housed under one roof
- only one keyword needed in order to be presented with a plethora of results
- collate related content under one "tag" therefore no need to search long until you find what you're looking for
What do you dislike about the product?
- overview of what has been uploaded "tag - index" not available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- allows you to replace / update content without ending up with several versions and therefore confusing the team with regard to what is the latest
- housing all content in one platform
- only a set of selected administrators can make updates therefore easy to control what content gets uploaded and how the highspot is structured

Great CMS

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Highspot has been a very effective tool for our organization. We're a multi-year customer and have no plans of looking elsewhere for content needs. Although we purchased with a content first mindset, we've been pleasantly surprised by the consistent product development in other areas of the platform. Not only do our teams enjoy the platform as a way to discover and collaborate, they can also meaningfully engage clients and keep a pulse on true content ROI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think with any CMS you'll always run into governance issues - that can be anything from content, user and activity governance. Early on, Highspot lacked some of the tools we needed to address this, but more recently have released features that make our lives a lot easier. Given the historical product roadmap and ability to truly listen to the customer, I think Highspot will continue to make great strides here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're building out a robust content eco-system that supports collaboration and pollination of great ideas and information. Highspot gives us the tool to execute this and we have fun in the process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate this product if you are looking for a CMS. Staff internally to support its implementation. If the ownership is an afterthought, so will be the tool.

Highspot indispensable as a sales tool

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create Customer Portals where one can direct a customer/prospect with a custom url to view as much content as you wish to make available to them - rather than repeatedly sending info via e-mail.
Also, simply great having one place to access for everything. The centralization is key because the content is kept up to date and I know when I need information/brochure I am not downloading something outdated.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides that I have experienced. Depending on how much content you have in HighSpot might make it more challenging to find certain things as they are added, but the search tool is pretty much a fail safe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content is no longer in all sorts of disparate places. Used to be you would need to consider a multitude of sites and shared drives to find what you were looking for. And again, you don't need to constantly check content for it's relevance.
This all results in time savings.

Delivered everything promised and more

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Summary:

We chose Highspot because 1) the organizational structure around spots seemed well-suited to our goals of making content easier for sales reps to find, 2) we loved "pitch styles," those customizable spots reps can create for specific clients as a central repository for all content related to the deal, 3) HS could handle our extensive online knowledge base library (the other solutions we evaluated were pdf/print focused and not built to handle an extensive online content). Highspot delivered on all theses promises. We assumed they would offer good implementation support--we had no idea how extensive and proactive that implementation support would be. Their commitment to making HS successful for our team has been impressive. We've implemented many saas solutions as a company. HS's implementation playbook is better than any I've ever experienced and that has made all the difference.

A few details:

How we chose a solution:
Our organization decided to implement a sales enablement platform in September and picked 3 of the top contenders for extended evaluation. To speed up implementation, our executive sponsor, sales director, and myself attended every sales meeting with all 3 of the platforms. The platform that was our top choice initially was eliminated because they were absolutely not able to handle our extensive online knowledge base library. We liked the other two solutions, and our decision ultimately came down to preferring Highspot's way of classifying content. It's tough to have enough information to make a perfect decision. I did spend a lot of time reading reviews on G2 before and during the sales evaluation. In hindsight, we absolutely made the best decision for our organization, but not necessarily for the right reasons. We assumed that implementation would be roughly equivalent for all three organizations, but I doubt that anyone else could have matched the performance of HS's customer success team.

The customer success team has been key:
They have been outstanding. Our customer success rep Austin has been committed and thorough. When he initially scheduled weekly check-ins, I thought it was overkill. Now I look back and see how that kind of commitment could have transformed other saas projects we've undertaken.

Up and running in about a month:
Our executive sponsor wanted to launch phase 1 of the project at the beginning of November. We signed with Highspot at the end of September. This timeline was very aggressive, but the HS customer team helped us figure out what to prioritize to get it done. Training sessions were well organized and thorough. Our customer success rep was experienced, and that helped us move through implementation one chunk at a time. We've also been fortunate to have two top-notch AEs who have dived right in and been HS champions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I know this seems unrealistically rosy, but we have not yet encountered anything we don't like about this solution. With saas there are always a lot of promises. HS has surprised and delighted our team by delivering on all the promises they made during the sales/evaluation process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HS makes existing content easy to find for sales reps. It acts as a primary source for all the content they need. It makes that content easy to pitch and share with clients. It gives the team analytics on who is accessing and sharing the content and how long they spend on it. Sales reps use this in follow up; the content team uses it to revise and build new content. We are now in the second phase of building out access for our international reps and outside sales partners. As a content creator/manager, I spend much less time finding assets for people. Built in feedback has also speeded up our process for making corrections and revisions and getting the documents back to sales reps quickly. I'm currently building out our first "sales play" for a product launch. We have achieved most of our basic goals and are moving on to phase 2 of the project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is important to consider and thoroughly investigate features of the different solutions you are considering. We learned a lot from a limited proof-of-concept. Ask detailed and specific questions about the implementation process.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface and that it can be accessed through gmail.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you cannot see which individual opened the email if you are sending to multiples recipients through gmail
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to send a microsite is much more professional

An exceptional sales enablement product backed by an exceptional team

  • January 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have introduced Highspot in two organizations and I can recommend it highly enough as a tool to not only for sales enablement but also for marketing. The flexibility - we have pushed the envelope a few times on new uses - the customizable/tailorable interface, the analytics and insights it provides and organization and I can't say enough about the outstanding account team of Natalie Brown and Cutter Kuwada who go beyond the extra mile to provide solutions, resolutions, training and suggestions on best to demonstrate the value of the tool to each department.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything but I do have one item on the wishlist - provide a way for clients to get private access to a Highspot enabled portal to share information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized access to collateral, sales enablement tools and more all with version control. A one-stop shop for sales to pitch with analytics - we are solving the problems that Highspot was meant to solve. We have realized consistent onboarding and have provided everything that the sales team needs to respond to RFPs and new business with record turnaround time.
