Highspot: Our most scalable business application

What do you like best about the product?
Highspot is one of the most critical applications we rely on in our business. It is and will continue to be the central location for all things content related and as we continue to scale our business, Highspot is one of the most important applications to help us do so. Not only is the product amazing but the team there is as well, in my career I've only encountered a product team that I consider partners and everyone we have worked with directly falls into this category.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only criticism would be to simplify the pricing model a bit, when the LMS portion was rolled out last year, we were immediately interested but hit a wall when our team realized it would be an increased license cost. Would be great to just receive some features as part of an update and not an additional fee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Highspot as a central repository for all of our onboarding and ongoing learning content and collateral. In addition, we use it to share this content with customers and prospects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like all of the connections it has with the tools that we use such as: Slack, Salesforce, mobile app experience, Google Drive, dropbox, etc. It allows the reps to access the content very easily.

I also really like the tagging features for the content and that you can schedule it or update automatically via GDrive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were better dashboards for insights, particularly for admins.

The overall setup and permissions is not very intuitive at all. I spent an hour trying to figure thing out and it should've been very simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are making our content (internal and external) more accessible for our teams. It's very easy to add, update and categorize. Because of all the tool integrations it provides a "native" experience like Highspot is built in to everything.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that in just a few clicks I can share documents with my clients and get alerts whenever they are seen.
It is possible to see when those documents are shared with others and we can actually understand which documents are most viewed and from there get insights such as which internal features our clients have more questions on or are more interested in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a big user of the Pitch function - used with the Outlook plugin. Unfortunately, everyday I have to login to Highspot in order to be able to use the pitch function on outlook. I am not sure if this is a mandatory action from Highspot or from my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to share information with my clients and colleagues and get reports to see if the files are being viewed, which are the most opened files.
I also appreciate the fact that we can mark files are internal or external and that colleagues can send updates asking for outdated files to be deletaed or replaced.

The Best Sales Enablement Solution Available. Period!

What do you like best about the product?
Where do I begin...

Love the report tool and the ability to track actions. Highspot has really stepped up their game when it comes to the report and tracking functions. Users can quickly and easily access data on how internal users are engaging with our assets, and we can even pull engagement data for assets consumed by people outside our organization with just a few clicks in the report tool.

SmartPages rock! Having the ability to curate content on a page in a neat, tidy, and orderly fashion is a timesaver (and lifesaver) for our users who are looking for documents. And SmartPages cut down on support tickets because users aren’t asking for help locating assets. No more scrolling through a spot containing several hundred documents to find what we need. Oh, and did I mention the ability for the system to auto-manage the SmartPages through the tagging structure? What an awesome feature!

I can’t say enough good things about Highspot’s service team. They are a stellar, top-notch group of knowledgeable people, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure our needs are met. And they have a fabulous global support team, too. Service times for support issues always meet or exceed my expectations.
What do you dislike about the product?
User management (i.e. purging accounts when users leave the organization) is somewhat cumbersome, especially when users own multiple spots and/or have pitch data tied to their account. Use of the API calls makes the process more manageable, along with newly improved functions via the report tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before partnering with Highspot, we had multiple access points for gathering documents, we encountered version discrepancies with no one source of truth location, the quality of our assets was inconsistent, and we had no ability to capture analytical data on use and relevancy.

Implementing Highspot addressed all these issues. We now have a single repository for accessing, managing, and sharing content. We have one governance strategy enterprise-wide, relevant content users need can be accessed quickly and easily, and version control of assets is manageable. Tracking for internal and external user consumption and engagement is available with just a few clicks. And Highspot integrates seamlessly with Salesforce, too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We completed >40 internal interviews across multiple departments and gathered 98 required capabilities based on the interviews. We sent RFI's to multiple vendors, followed by formal RFP's to the handful who could best support our needs. We also interviewed customers of the top three candidates we identified. We did our "due diligence" to find the best tool. Highspot won our business!

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to organize and find content. Makes content management scaleable for organizations with hundreds or thousands of assets. Analytics help us improve content organizations, labeling, and usage. For instance, looking at a search volume report we can see content CTRs. Low click through rates can tell us content is missing (needs to be created), mislabeled, or even that users need better education to use the right terms for our products/capabilities. Many different report options and they all provide value.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pitching integration with Outlook isn't seamless for us due to our internal security posture. Also building emails/html through Highspot can be a bit clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Highspot, our Sales/Marketing/GTM content was in multiple repositories (often buried in folders) and hard to find. Now, it is easy to find content, bd it is easy to see what is working and what content is needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Put a lot of thought into how you will organize your content into Spots, and list groups/lists. I recommend launching with 4-8 Spots. While Highspot works seamlessly for end users, there is a learning curve for Administration--particularly the Highspot instance owner(s). Highspot has a high intuitiveness factor, but, as with any powerful tool, the more you put into learning about it, the more you will get out of it. Highspot is always adding new capabilities and improving features. It's a challenge to keep up on how to make use of it all, but it's a great challenge to have!

What do you like best about the product?
Highspot makes it simple to upload, edit and then search for resources. I've used several platforms like this throughout my career and have found Highspot's search algorithms to be the best by far. They layout is well organized, simple, and thoughtfully designed. I'm also a big fan of how documents are automatically converted into PDF if you upload in other formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quite frankly, nothing comes to mind - I haven't come across any problems or issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Highspot makes it easy and simple to share large files and other resources with customers and prospects. As a salesperson it's all about the experience you provide so having a way to drop them a link vs. attaching a large file adds significant value. Then, after sending materials, it's simple to monitor prospect engagement by tracking clicks/opens of your materials.

Game Changer for our GTM Organization.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature for our GTM org is the ability to remix (edit) content efficiently and share externally with the Pitch feature. Our organization has leveraged the pitch feature to create a seamless customer content-sharing experience throughout the customer journey. Meanwhile, we are also can see prospects' engagement with the content and which gives us insight into what to dive deeper into during our next conversation.

Besides the actual product, our Highspot reps, Napolean and TingTing, are the best. They are extremely prepared, understand the pain points, and have a strategic mindset when it comes to solving problems. They are a pleasure to work with!
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone who's reporting on our enablement programs' success, I would love to see some additional reporting functionality. The ability to set an enablement program goal and build a dashboard (or smartpage) with all of the reports and content needed to measure that program's success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Highspot has given us a centralized, source of truth for all of our GTM content. My role, in particular, is responsible for our new hire onboarding and Highspot's SmartPage feature has helped us seamlessly transition our employee onboarding experience to meet the needs of the remote world. We can provide a singular location for all of our new employee onboarding activities which eliminates a paper trail.

Furthermore, the reporting capabilities have proven to be invaluable to our Enablement team. We can track content usage and engagement to see what's resonating internally and externally.

- The support we have received is spectacular. Always responsive, listens to our needs and partners together on resolving business needs

System ease of use:
- Easy to upload and organize content with smart pages
- Ability to segment out by teams

Reporting
- Tracking of views to show usefulness of content is important
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited LMS functionality however that is changing with their new training and certification product. This will become a game changer as it will give Enablement professionals the ability to create self service modules while utilizing highspot content and review impact of these training programs.

What do you like best about the product?
Switching from plain & bad SE app to HS is similar to switching from a beat-up old car to a high-tech car.
Manual work can be automated now, i.e. logging activities on SFDC, auto archiving, etc.
Tagging contents to an opportunity is super quick and easy.
Now we are able to track and analyze user actions like open, read, and/or share.
And we have a very high user adoption compared to previous SE app we used.

HS is our sales reps' bread & butter.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a biggie, but it would be awesome if HS can do custom reporting.
There are more data we can mine then slice & dice it on / off HS, i.e. Excel, Power BI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HS is our centralized location to store and search for contents.
Its analytic feature allow us to see metric on which contents driving the revenues. We can't do this on Share Point.

It's also easy to attach and share documents directly from outlook.
