What do you like best about the product?
Last9 is an elegant and powerful solution for modern DevOps and SRE teams, purpose-built to streamline observability and ensure high system reliability. With its deep focus on SLOs, real-time telemetry, and intelligent alerting, Last9 empowers teams to deliver dependable, high-performance software at scale — while dramatically reducing incident response times.

What truly sets Last9 apart is its ability to consolidate logs, traces, and metrics into a single pane of glass, eliminating the need to juggle multiple tools. This unified experience not only improves operational efficiency but also makes observability significantly more cost-effective.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, would like a dark theme option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With log-to-metric alerts, support teams no longer need to actively monitor logs — alerts are automatically triggered based on meaningful patterns, enabling faster response times and reduced manual effort.

Swiss army knife for observability

What do you like best about the product?
Been using last9 as logging, alerts and monitoring at our mid sized SAAS app. It has a lot of features you would want in observability tool. We mainly use it for logging, tracking throughput of endpoints and creating alerts for each team based on endpoints they monitor. It has a single pane for logs, traces, and metrics, removing the need for multiple tools, you don't have to invest in separate tools to do all this. Support is also excellent, their team is readily available whenever needed with 1:1 support.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wanted some error monitoring on fronted, which they plan to launch soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves problems related to observability for our SAAS app. We use it to store, filter, analyse logs. Create dashboards related to performance and throughput. We also use to create alerts when things are off.

Intuitive Log Search with Tonnes of Integrations

What do you like best about the product?
- Extremely engaged support
- Quick responses/fixes to issues
- Powerful logQL based log search
- Easily integrates with all our log sources including Cloud object storage, CDN vendors and Kubernetes Environments

Consolidating our logs on last9 has allowed members within and without engineering to start to query and digest logs. Logs that were previously difficult to query are now trivially searched.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of compatibility with all of LogQL means that sometimes solutions found online do not transfer to Last9
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 allowed us to consolidate logs into a single place. This streamlined investigations and opened the doors to other teams to start answering questions for themselves

What do you like best about the product?
Last9 and team has helped us forget all the different observability tools and consolidate every dashboard into one single place. The team at last9 and 1 to 1 support on slack is super notch which brings more value with the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Default SQL transaction views missing as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to monitor our infrastructure and app in last9 with the ease and at single dashboard.

What do you like best about the product?
Unified Observability:

Last9 brings logs, metrics, and traces into a single pane of glass. No more juggling between tools; everything is correlated and accessible in one place. This integration has significantly reduced our Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and has streamlined our debugging process.​


Handling High Cardinality:

Our applications generate a vast amount of high-cardinality data, and traditional tools struggled to keep up. Last9's platform handles this effortlessly, allowing us to monitor granular details without performance hits. Features like the Cardinality Explorer and Streaming Aggregations have been particularly helpful.​

Control Plane:

The Control Plane is a standout feature. It offers real-time telemetry management, enabling us to define pre-ingestion workflows for data filtering and enrichment. This means we can manage our data proactively, ensuring only relevant information is stored and analyzed.​


Cost Efficiency:

With Last9's "pay for what you use" pricing model, we've seen a noticeable reduction in our observability costs. There's no per-host or per-user billing, which makes budgeting straightforward and predictable.​

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a developer working in a fast-paced environment, managing logs, metrics, and traces across different tools was becoming a real challenge. Switching between dashboards, dealing with inconsistent data, and the mounting costs were taking a toll. That's where Last9 has been a game-changer.

What do you like best about the product?
• Single pane for logs, traces, and metrics: Whether debugging via logs or identifying the slowest requests through dashboards, Last9 gives us everything we need in one place — no need to juggle multiple tools. This not only saves time but is also more cost-efficient.

• Logs Explorer, Traces Explorer, and Dashboards: These features have significantly reduced our Mean Time to Detect (MTTD). The correlation across telemetry data has helped us uncover issues we couldn't catch with our earlier tools.

• High cardinality support: Last9 allows us to track data much more granularly, which has been crucial for understanding edge cases and fine-grained performance metrics. In our case, tracking our main entity ID made our life easy.

• 1:1 support over Slack: One of the best parts of working with Last9 is their responsive support. The team is quick to jump in, even joining calls when needed, and they actively incorporate user feedback into product updates. It's great working with such a dynamic and engaged team.

• Continuous improvement: The Last9 team keeps improving the product based on the feedback. They are always ready to learn the pain points and implement the best solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
No specific issues were identified. If we have some issue or there is some feedback the Last9 team is ready to assist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 eliminates my need to juggle multiple observability tools by providing a single platform for logs, traces, and metrics. This unified approach saves me significant time during debugging sessions and reduces costs for my organization. The Logs Explorer, Traces Explorer, and Dashboards features help me correlate data across different telemetry types, dramatically reducing my Mean Time to Detect issues. I'm now uncovering problems that went completely unnoticed with my previous tools. Perhaps most valuable is Last9's high cardinality support, which allows me to track metrics at an extremely granular level - essential for diagnosing edge cases and monitoring fine-grained performance issues that would otherwise remain hidden in aggregated data.

What do you like best about the product?
We found Last9 very cost efficient and support is also excellent. We were able to significantly reduce cost by switching to Last9 while preserving all of the functionality we needed. It is a pleasure to work with the Last9 team anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we have not found any drawbacks in functionality or support of Last9, if we have to pick, then we have like to know about their roadmap features planned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 stands out by providing comprehensive observability while maintaining the optimal cost compared to our previous solution. Additionally, their outstanding support ensures that any issues gets resolved quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
As the CEO, I appreciate the ease with which I can quickly check the status of our product and spot any issues without needing a deep understanding of our backend. Our engineering team strongly recommended it, and given how easily I can use it, the recommendation makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really at this point. But would love to get more features on the ML front given our product is very ML heavy.

I would also appreciate easy way to give a summarized note of the issue on email so that one understands what is the issue without opening dashboard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we’re a very early stage startup, making sure the right tool is available for my engineering team so that they can focus on building the product instead of worrying about the operational logistics of it — this has been the right investment.

Best product with best team!

What do you like best about the product?
We were growing very fast and we were not able to keep up with the errors we were facing. We wanted something that was OpenTelemetry native and easy to use for everyone in the team. The integration is straightforward with awesome documentation and team support!
Last9 was kind of our saviour as it is so easy to set up and team is always a message away! They have guided us from the start with such patience and candidness that we knew we made the right choice.
All the log, traces, and dashboards give us immense confidence and have helped us identify and fix issues with ease. Every detail is noted and never lost and hence we have significant confidence to operate at scale.
We use it very frequently !
What do you dislike about the product?
While the current set of features are good, I would love to have something more in terms of ML use cases so that we don't have to go to any other vendor for the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to quickly identify performance bottlenecks in our pipelines, track user engagement metrics, and ensure system reliability. Being able to track product metrics alongside the backend metrics, along with a fairly straightforward UI, has allowed us to give access to team members outside of engineering as well, removing the need to integrate with another tool. Everyone is creating dashboards, monitoring performance of features, and seeing metrics throughout the pipeline.

What do you like best about the product?
Before i had to touch many tools and screens to figure out what went wrong, but when I saw the single view screen of traces, logs and metrics, I knews that Last9 can help me fic my system obesrvability issue and imrpove my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am yet te be the power user of Last9 so can't tell surely what I dot like baout last9 because when I had small issue related to dashboard setup their customer support helped me to easily integrate library panels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially, I had to check CPU pressure and RAM usage across different places, constantly switching screens and even asking the team for permissions just to monitor the uptime of our product. Whenever something failed, I had to call team members, interrupt their work, and wait for their input to figure out what went wrong. Since integrating Last9, things have changed drastically at least for me. I can now monitor and troubleshoot on my own without relying on others. This has not only reduced my response time to failures but also streamlined my workflow, making everything so much more efficient.
