Awesome team with continuously evolving well built product
What do you like best about the product?
• Single pane for logs, traces, and metrics: Whether debugging via logs or identifying the slowest requests through dashboards, Last9 gives us everything we need in one place — no need to juggle multiple tools. This not only saves time but is also more cost-efficient.
• Logs Explorer, Traces Explorer, and Dashboards: These features have significantly reduced our Mean Time to Detect (MTTD). The correlation across telemetry data has helped us uncover issues we couldn't catch with our earlier tools.
• High cardinality support: Last9 allows us to track data much more granularly, which has been crucial for understanding edge cases and fine-grained performance metrics. In our case, tracking our main entity ID made our life easy.
• 1:1 support over Slack: One of the best parts of working with Last9 is their responsive support. The team is quick to jump in, even joining calls when needed, and they actively incorporate user feedback into product updates. It's great working with such a dynamic and engaged team.

What do you dislike about the product?
No specific issues were identified. If we have some issue or there is some feedback the Last9 team is ready to assist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 eliminates my need to juggle multiple observability tools by providing a single platform for logs, traces, and metrics. This unified approach saves me significant time during debugging sessions and reduces costs for my organization. The Logs Explorer, Traces Explorer, and Dashboards features help me correlate data across different telemetry types, dramatically reducing my Mean Time to Detect issues. I'm now uncovering problems that went completely unnoticed with my previous tools. Perhaps most valuable is Last9's high cardinality support, which allows me to track metrics at an extremely granular level - essential for diagnosing edge cases and monitoring fine-grained performance issues that would otherwise remain hidden in aggregated data.

Great cost savings along with excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
We found Last9 very cost efficient and support is also excellent. We were able to significantly reduce cost by switching to Last9 while preserving all of the functionality we needed. It is a pleasure to work with the Last9 team anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we have not found any drawbacks in functionality or support of Last9, if we have to pick, then we have like to know about their roadmap features planned.

Last9 stands out by providing comprehensive observability while maintaining the optimal cost compared to our previous solution. Additionally, their outstanding support ensures that any issues gets resolved quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
As the CEO, I appreciate the ease with which I can quickly check the status of our product and spot any issues without needing a deep understanding of our backend. Our engineering team strongly recommended it, and given how easily I can use it, the recommendation makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really at this point. But would love to get more features on the ML front given our product is very ML heavy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we’re a very early stage startup, making sure the right tool is available for my engineering team so that they can focus on building the product instead of worrying about the operational logistics of it — this has been the right investment.
Best product with best team!
What do you like best about the product?
We were growing very fast and we were not able to keep up with the errors we were facing. We wanted something that was OpenTelemetry native and easy to use for everyone in the team. The integration is straightforward with awesome documentation and team support!

All the log, traces, and dashboards give us immense confidence and have helped us identify and fix issues with ease. Every detail is noted and never lost and hence we have significant confidence to operate at scale.

While the current set of features are good, I would love to have something more in terms of ML use cases so that we don't have to go to any other vendor for the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to quickly identify performance bottlenecks in our pipelines, track user engagement metrics, and ensure system reliability. Being able to track product metrics alongside the backend metrics, along with a fairly straightforward UI, has allowed us to give access to team members outside of engineering as well, removing the need to integrate with another tool. Everyone is creating dashboards, monitoring performance of features, and seeing metrics throughout the pipeline.

What do you like best about the product?
Before i had to touch many tools and screens to figure out what went wrong, but when I saw the single view screen of traces, logs and metrics, I knews that Last9 can help me fic my system obesrvability issue and imrpove my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am yet te be the power user of Last9 so can't tell surely what I dot like baout last9 because when I had small issue related to dashboard setup their customer support helped me to easily integrate library panels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially, I had to check CPU pressure and RAM usage across different places, constantly switching screens and even asking the team for permissions just to monitor the uptime of our product. Whenever something failed, I had to call team members, interrupt their work, and wait for their input to figure out what went wrong. Since integrating Last9, things have changed drastically at least for me. I can now monitor and troubleshoot on my own without relying on others. This has not only reduced my response time to failures but also streamlined my workflow, making everything so much more efficient.
The All-in-One Platform for Real-Time Monitoring and Issue Resolution
What do you like best about the product?
Last9 has been a huge game changer for our team. It's observability platform allows us to easily fix critical issues in no time. It provides precise insights into system load, usage patterns, and performance issues so that we can detect and resolve issues in a timely manner. It was easy to set it up with OTEL, and as a developer, I was able to integrate it into our workflows quite effortlessly. Currently it is our go to tool for root cause analysis after any incident in our software.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Last9 is a powerful platform, It is somewhat hard to navigating things through software. Though the recent release managed very well to improve user experience making easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 enables us to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and preventing system failure. It manages all our monitoring tools all at the same place and we need not to switch between multiple softwares.
Best for traces, logging and metrics
What do you like best about the product?
We use Last9 for monitoring our Tacitbase software. Last9 helps us identify the latency of APIs, which makes it easier to improve their speed. It’s useful for debugging, if any issue arises, we can easily debug it with the help of logs. It also helps us track the complete journey of a request from the client.We also get alert messages through Last9 if anything happens or goes wrong in a system.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a recommendation about the user interface of the system, can you simplify the interface so that everything is easy to understand?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 helps in debugging problems with the help of logs. It also helps speed up the APIs by monitoring their latency, it sends alerts if anything happens in our Tacitbase software, so we can get notified easily and we take a quick action.

What do you like best about the product?
I can easily find logs for services with errors. The dashboards are awesome! Using the dashboard, I can easily view the performance of each service, see which services are in good health, and identify those with issues. Additionally, I can see which services take longer to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new user, it can sometimes be challenging to understand the system and set up the dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When a user encounters an issue, I can go to Lat9 to view the logs from that specific time to identify the actual problem. This helps me pinpoint and resolve issues users experience when using our app

While using Last9, I found that the platform has so many features that it can feel overwhelming at first. It took me some time to figure things out, and having a simpler introduction for new users would make a big difference.I also felt the need for more detailed guides and tutorials to understand how to use the advanced features properly. It would save a lot of trial and error.
Another thing I noticed is that customising dashboards and alerts isn’t as straightforward as I’d like. Making this process easier would help users tailor the platform to their specific needs much faster.

1.The latest logs dashboard is very facinating
2. Also the UX is very intuitive for some complicated screens
3. Templates for basic and advanced dashboards are really great for newbies, who are new to these things
4. Amazing support from Internal Team (Prathamesh and Aniket)
5. As you have integrated Grafana Dashboard hence learning curve is reduced and hence it is quite easy to create dashboards.
6. Would like to address cardinality explorer is a key feature as well, I can see which metrics are busy and are being used
There are many interesting features provided like macros, dropping data, forwarding data are nice.

3. I receive alerts right 5mins after the incident or error has occured and I couldn't find the settings how can I make them instantaneous (I can see that data reaches to last9 very quickly but did not understand how to configure those as per my use case)
4. At some places I felt that documentation is outdated (AWS Cloudwatch Metric Stream)
5. Some of the dashboards cannot be imported to Alert manager because of some issues with the variables (APM dashboards)

Root Cause Analysis of a Specific Problem happening for a specific time scale and sometimes for a specific user or organization can be detected and can be looked back whenever necessary.

Whenever my senior asks me why this error was caused, I can go look back and see that were the apis being called at that very moment and logs status at the same time simultaneously and hence I am able to understand what was the state of our system at that time. (Really helps a lot)
