Suggested post library by hierarchy is nice to have. The support that our organization receives from the Hearsay customer support team is great.

Corporate-friendly platform

  • August 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hearsay is an easy-to-use platform that works really well for corporate employee advocacy programs. There are a ton of customization options, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve on the back-end can take some time to figure out, especially in terms of running reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run an employee advocacy program with over 400 people through Hearsay. We are able to add content to a library for our users to access, and also run campaigns. Employees have found navigating the library is easy, but seem to have difficulty submitting their own content. This is not due to technical error, but more that they don't quit understand how to submit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are trying to implement an employee advocacy program, Hearsay is a great platform to start with. They offer a ton of trainings and customization for library content. You can also run in-depth reports on content, users, submissions, etc.

Hearsa and the Great Complianc Conodrum

  • August 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am limited only by the amount of characters I am able to use. Hearsay is an amazing program that allows to monitor our agents and make sure all information distributed is compliant, while not seemingly like we are invading their privacy and being "Big Brother." In the digital age, privacy is worth its weight in gold, and Hearsay allows our agents ot keep their personal accounts private while making sure their business accounts are compliant.
Plus our customer advocate, Michelle Bateman, is amazing! She is a pleasure to work with and there is no problem she can't fix
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to upload videos to Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to distribute fun, interactive and compliant information through our agents accounts, and we have seen sales increase.

A Feature-Rich Listings Management Tool but Cancellation Has Been a Nightmare (Updated Aug. 2020)

  • August 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform links up with some relatively important sites and services, and I really like how well the knowledge graph works to unify data across all of them. Duplicate suppression is top-notch, and everything is explained clearly for novices to power users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any platform of this type, Yext's portfolio of linked sites does include some relatively low-quality options (i.e., some listing sites that aren't applicable to most industries).

Review Update: Our team genuinely enjoyed using Yext and the customer service team, up until the end, was best-in-class from my perspective. We had to make a platform change simply because things changed at our agency and we could no longer justify the cost. Once we fulfilled our initial contract and gave notice that we weren't going to be renewing (I believe they require a 30-day notice and we provided nearly 60 days notice) , we received a confirmation but were then charged "mistakenly" once the original contract expired — putting the onus on us to request a refund. From there, it was basically radio silence from their team, and we had to dispute the charge on our credit card after being strung along for weeks by Yext's team. I normally give companies the benefit of the doubt in these situations (mistakes happen, and I had no intention of updating this review originally), but they've made it clear they're either trying to fluff their sales figures by waiting to give us a refund of a substantial amount of money, or they simply don't care enough to make it right/keep us updated in the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified listings and review management has helped improve efficiency and ensure that all of our client data is correct, up-to-date and on the most important sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Shop around. This is a great platform, but it is among the most expensive to use out of all the ones I found in the mix (e.g., BrightLocal, Moz, etc.). Yext appears to offer better service and support, and the fact that the platform is locked into Google and Bing via APIs means that manually entered data in the platform always takes priority, which is essential.

Update: Be very wary if you're worried about getting locked into a contract with them. I'm not saying that my experience is the same one that everyone else will have, but Yext is no doubt an expensive platform, and we've had a substantial amount of money floating with them because their cancellation process has been less than transparent and customer-friendly.

Consistent data across the board

Great Way To Improve Social Media Presence

  • July 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Hearsay let’s me set up all of my posts for the entire month at once. It’s a quick tool that allows me to constantly be sharing valuable information to my customer base on social media, as well as track how many views, likes, etc., my pages are getting. It’s great being able to post to all of my different social media accounts from one central place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t a ton of customizability, which can limit you in certain areas. It would also be nice if you were able to include hashtags with the posts to increase visibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has definitely helped increase my social media presence and as I result I am seeing more traffic on my specific advisor homepage.

Yext: The Mr. Clean of Your Brand's Online Data.

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
No matter what scale you use this at - individual business, small chain, or full-blown enterprise - you can always benefit from Yext. We currently use them for our online directories listings + suppressions + reputation monitoring. We have a ton of locations across the US, so it's so useful to be able to add a location, and then suppress any outdated or irrelevant information about these locations and have it go *poof* off the Internet. Then we just actively maintain our cleaned-up info!
What do you dislike about the product?
Yext is trying to extend beyond its original scope of brand data management into areas already covered by other companies. It's a hard sell - they're trying to be a jack of all trades, but at the end they're becoming a master of none. They should stick to what they do well and expand on that, rather than get into an area like Analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many locations, and it has been a huge project claiming all locations, setting up a naming convention, and continuing to suppress the old or incorrect information. Yext has been instrumental in allowing us to clean up and centralize our online presence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. They offer all levels of subscriptions, and it's such an easy platform to work. You won't lose out!
