Brightspace changed the way we interact with our students.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy implementation, various features, support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ease of generating Page reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distance education, with the numerous resources that D2L offers, has shortened the distance between student and teacher.
D2L provides us innovation, personalized learning and competent and available support.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the design, the customization options, and the variety of resources and activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like how the forum is organized. It could be simpler both in terms of creation and in how to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The LMS that the institution was using no longer met our needs, especially regarding the organization of resources and activities in the virtual space and the extraction of reports, which are essential for managing the teaching and learning process.

What do you like best about the product?
Help me to guide me in the course, the progress in the module, and the content. The configuration of the different elements in the panel is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way the notice is displayed, and the kerning in the interface; the line height is wrong. The structure for the debates, to read and see the comments, is very difficult.

Resolve the tracking data regarding the students' progress and the review of the course content.
Attractive and intuitive platform
What do you like best about the product?
D2L Brightspace is an intuitive and attractive platform for teachers and students.
One of the advantages of the platform is its customization, which has allowed our Campus to have a visual appearance in line with the institution's corporate image. On the other hand, the teacher has a wide range of possibilities when creating grading elements for students (rubrics, quizzes...). Additionally, thanks to the communication channels, constant communication can be established between teacher and student, which is ideal for our online students.
All of this makes learning flexible and personalized.

When needing/requesting a function within the platform itself, we must wait for other organizations to also request it so that it can be evaluated and/or applied.

It helps us to have a space that allows for a system of evaluation and communication with the students both in-person and online.

The ease of being able to access the different courses, view individual grades, and pending assignments.

When generating reports in the data center, you cannot apply some filters without having to extract all the data, for example, by user, by OU, etc., it only allows filtering by date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The attendance roll call tool, which is not very interactive, we already submitted a suggestion more than a year ago, without any news.
New features and new possibilities associated with greater autonomy.
What do you like best about the product?
D2L Brightspace has enabled me to have greater autonomy in carrying out daily tasks and has exceeded my expectations regarding the use of its features.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the aspects I find most complicated about using D2L concerns the backup and the way of creating a discussion space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace allowed for greater autonomy in the organization of curricular units, facilitated interaction between students and teachers with the possibility of recording videos and audios on the platform itself. We also use Brightspace so that the Communication department can make institutional announcements. Not to mention the ease of being able to remodel the organizational structure according to demands without the risk of losing content.
Pleasant user experience
What do you like best about the product?
Among the strengths, I highlight the intuitive navigation, customization possibilities and usability of the platform. For administrators, teachers and students alike, it is easy to learn how to use and navigate the resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like them to have more native interaction features and integration with a greater number of free plugins. It would also be interesting to optimize some reports, generate graphs and other visual resources for data analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a teacher with almost 20 years of experience, but this is my first time with Brightspace. I really like how easily is to navigate the interfaz. As a previous user of others LSM, I find Brightspace's design very pretty and intuitive. I had no trouble to design my class and I could (only with the help of tutorials) set up dates, attendance lists, assignments, evaluations, and more.
Also, I love the way everyone at support service keeps in touch with us, letting us know the status of our cases. They, very kindly, make sure the problem is solved. By the way, I find the ASC Support Portal very easy to use to create a case and keep track of the process too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Something that can improve about Brightspace, I think, is the integration of certain encrypted content (forms, videos or presentations) from other pages, which —sometimes— are not compatible.
And, it would be fantastic to be able to have our online classes from the same platform.

Brightspace is our LSM platform for graduate and posgraduate programs. It gives us a very formal, institutional and innovative approach to our educational process.
