What do you like best about the product?
Content creation is easy, its use and tools to achieve the objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
I consider that the generation of reports is very poor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows users better usability because its interface is user-friendly and does not cause users difficulty in its use.

i really like the appearance of the platform. also I like the organization, facility to import material from other courses and others platforms and finally, I like the possibilities of personalization.
What do you dislike about the product?
one of the features that i really mis of the last platform used by Universidad de lso Andes is the posibility to schedule the date of liberation of any new section or material when you are creating it or you are editing this material.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved the problem of give the information to my students in a clear and organized way. Also Brightspace helpme to do it in a interactive and pretty way.

What do you like best about the product?
Brightspace offers a variety of tools to allow instructors to present course materials and engage students in active learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging when trying to change the structure/design of the course interface or navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to better understand the needs of students. Brightspace analytics tools are helping us understand student behaviour.

Some of the interfaces were a little dodgy but overall a fun experence

The Right Place to Have my Academic Information
What do you like best about the product?
The way content is displayed and the multiple possibilities external content can be posted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Audio files (in quizzes) cannot be exported in a Brightspace Package
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can very easily and quickly post various types of information, so my groups can see it without opening any mails, or any other sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want this LMS to be effective, learn how to use it properly. Check also the information D2l offers to support users.

What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities to set and display content to my liking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Units in the content are have very narrow margins, unlike html pages that fit the screen better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform in general is user friendly for both, students and teachers in general, especially if you only need to use the most basic features.

A new platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love 💙 the "especial access" feature. This makes way easy to let a quiz or any other activity available for just one student or a specific amount of students. No worries about letting it available for everyone. It's better and safer.
I like that the grade center helps you keep the grade records directly in D2L.

What do you dislike about the product?
OMG
1- Making a writing quiz is impossible in quizzes. The rubric never connects to the actual quiz. (yes, we did create a learning objetive - step that makes it way too complicated) Hence, the rubric is not available as in an assignment. Even when you are able to open the rubric and click on it to grade, it never connects the student to the grade.
2- Assignments don't have a time limit/clock like in a quiz. The fact that is an assignment does not mean students can take hours doing it. It should have the same feature as quizzes.
3- The fact that I have to create a category or an item in the grade center, and then, having to link the activity/quiz, etc. to it. It is tiiiiiime consuming in addition to the thousands of settings that have to be set ahead of time.
4- Why can't all questions includes feedback box to leave general feedback when creating the anquestion? Additionally, Why isn't that box called that way "feedback"?
5- Your website used to have a chat where one could talk to a human being, even there was an email with the summary of everything. Since the university began working fully with this LMS, that chat never works. You can stay forever waiting for a human to reply.
6-Let people know that audios must be compressed in order to make them lighter. Heavy audios do not run well in this LMS. They may take a long time for them to upload so that some students cannot hear it immediately but after quite a while or never.

Great LMS with friendly interface
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive interface which makes it easier to configure and also to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
In the computer version, sometimes buttons an interface seems too big, and there is no option to configure that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to configure my course in a very structured way with units and folders, which at the same time have different kinds of content. Also, I can easily copy a course structure to a new one, saving a lot of time

Review of BrightSpace
What do you like best about the product?
BrightSpace is a very intuitive piece of software. There are quite a few features, all of which are outstanding and easy to use. Recent new reporting tools have also made it easier for instructors to gather data and investigate student activity within the course.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times support turnaround is slow. Our biggest frustration occurs when our more challenging support tickets do not get escalated in a timely manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With our installation, we are providing a way for course material to be readily available to our students on 24/7 basis. This allows our students to study and review material on their own time.

Give a lot of thought before creating your roles for the system. Too many similar roles can cause confusion on which to use
Great LMS for Post-Secondary institutions
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspace provides users with easy to use tools that require little training. Because of this, we are able to support the tool better and also provide extra or deeper levels of training.
What do you dislike about the product?
We encounter a lot of bugs when major tools get redeveloped. This causes our instructors to become frustrated. The monthly updates cause this frustration as our instructors typically teach 4 month terms meaning they need to check the updates 4 times a term.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since the pandemic, we moved to a more online/blended style of teaching. This product has allowed us to easily move to this type of teaching and has allowed students the ability to learn synchronously/asynchronously.
