Lots of Functionality but Some Clunky Aspects in Admin Portal
What do you like best about the product?
RingEX provides a lot of customization and functionality to meet diverse needs, which I think is very important since this program isn't specific to any industry or area of business. From an admin standpoint, setting up a new user is pretty easy, and I especially like a newer update of being able to schedule the invitation email in advance. That's very helpful!
We have three office locations with staff working remotely some of the time and calls run smoothly as if everyone was in one place. The RingCentral chat is also very nice, as is the ability to text our clients from within the desktop app.
I recently contacted support in order to cancel some extra RingEX licenses we were not using during our contract renewal period and they made if very easy. It only took one chat session to accomplish exactly what I needed to, and quickly.
We use the RC video very frequently and sometimes record meetings and both are easy to use. I love that you can send a link to a video participant and they do not need to download the program to join a video call. Makes it very easy for them and we rarely have anyone who experiences issues getting into the video call.
Sending faxes is easy and received faxes can easily be forwarded via email to the proper person in our team. Text messages and voicemails can also be easily transferred.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've found that some settings in the admin portal move randomly and become difficult to find. We also have had issues with certain settings within the admin portal changing on their own and that is very frustrating. Luckily this isn't a common issue, but the one we've experienced is incoming calls get routed to a welcome message (which ends up being our voicemail recording) instead of ringing through. It hasn't happened recently, but has happened several times. Maybe this is fixed now, I do not know.
Recording a new voicemail is easy enough form the handset, but navigating to the importing/exporting so that the voicemail plays both during and after hours is a bit labor-intensive. I also wish voicemails could be saved from within the RC admin portal.
Features/settings in the admin portal that we don't use often are sometimes difficult to find/get to as it's not as intuitively located as I think it could be.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RingEX gives us voice, text, internal messaging, faxing, and video conferencing with just one program/application. That's huge when you already have multiple programs to log into every day! Streamlining communications bother externally and internally is supremely important, especially in a technology driven world.

What do you like best about the product?
Transition from AAV Avaya was excellent. Function and use is excellent with Ring Central app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Allstate does block us from transferring our existing fax lines to this account unfortunately. Wish there was a welcome call where they walk admin through basic setup and queue preferences, especially for mega agents like us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
dropped calls and poor audio
Great Platform For VOIP Calling And CRM Integration

Packed with features
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly, so the learning curve is small.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback is caller information doesn't go to extension if using the transfer button on phone. The work around is to hit ## then extension. This is my only complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting to customers and each other.

Great software
What do you like best about the product?
RingEX is easy to use and makes communication between my staff and patients simple. The messaging, video calling, phone, texting, and fax is all encrypted and very efficient. We use all of the functions daily and it keeps our organization running smoothly. The customer service is excellent as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about RingEX. The only thing that is "not helpful" is the AI note taking. I just don't use it or need it so I turned it off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's the only way we can communicate with our patients because it allows us to do so with HIPAA compliancy. It also solves the in-office communication between staff members, whether it's messaging, phone calls, or video calls. It allows our organization to continue to do what we do.
RingCentral is the GOAT
What do you like best about the product?
As the IT Director, onboarding and offboarding users requiring a company phone number is simple and fast. Coming from an IPC system, RingCentral almost feels like cheating. The basic feature set for the cost is amazing. Support is always helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
After 2 years finding things in the admin UI still takes several attempts to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Call recording. Our previous phone system required a 3rd party for call recording and it there was a per line fee. Every call inbound and outbound is now recorded and is part of the base service. Its allowed us to review calls for our call center and to resolve customer disputes.
Great modern solution to business telecom
What do you like best about the product?
RingCentral has enabled my company to move away from large capital expense phone systems and move to a predictable operating cost while reducing the amount of staff required to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may sound silly but there are too many features - many of which are redundant to existing solutions we have already implemented. I would prefer to be able to turn some features off for users so they would not see them on their application. Currently they are informed that features are "disabled by the administrator" - which prompts calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowed easy work from home/anywhere. We were also able to reduce support staff compared to our legacy phone system.
