Awesome but needs to be improved
What do you like best about the product?
Best about Synthesia is that it is a full of possibilities tool for communication and customer experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing tools still do not give all the possibilities. You cannot test the video before finalizing it, background photos show sync failures. That reduces the quality of the final product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We´d like to use Synthesia to resolve direct communication with our clients through our website and other digital communication channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Of course, Synthesia is highly recommended tool, based on future technology, that comes to improve communication with customers.

It solves the problem of time, since it saves a lot of time in formulating content and correcting errors, improving the quality of our educational content
A great platform with a promising future.
What do you like best about the product?
The drag/drop builder is very helpful. It makes the platform easy for anyone to start making videos, and it got a large feature boost within days of signing up for the platform. The platform is well thought-out and customer support is very responsive. No other platform we've come across has been able to deliver usable AI acted content like this, especially with an intuitive video creator. Translating to different languages is very easy with builder the tool as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love an expanded avatar character library. The more characters, the merrier. Ideally, there would be the same actors in multiple outfits and poses/angles and expressions. Characters would truly appear more human if there were alternate views to their faces and sets of tones and expressions for their voice based on different scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers who are on the go, camera-shy, or otherwise unavailable to film can now make human-acted content without any filming or a film-sized budget. We can quickly fill in gaps to more mundane content by adding a human face and voice for delivery, which increases user engagement and retention.

This tool is very user-friendly and easy to use. Anyone can easily create digital courses for LMS with this tool.
It has a lot of features, like being able to create courses in a number of different languages.

It is impossible to upload a PowerPoint. So I need to copy-paste my slides one by one.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use, and realism/appearance of the avatars - especially the lip-sync capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there need to be more options for voices - especially urban/African/Caribbean tones. I would also like to see more clothing options for the avatars. There is an inconsistency in the accuracy of the audio - post rendering. I have experienced drastic changes compared to when I previewed the audio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me to be more creative, but I wish there were more options to customise the avatars. I'm sure that's not a good business move on your part, but many of my clients simply can't afford a custom avatar at that price. Maybe offer a higher tier for advanced customisation???
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At this point, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - simply because I think it is incomplete. It has potential, but it could be a LOT better, simply by adding a few more options.

Changing the way we see computers and virtual humans
What do you like best about the product?
The video creation tools vastly reduce the amount of time to create videos. This has allowed our group to build virtual human applications at a much faster pace. The voices used in this application are also superior to what you find with other text-to-voice applications in addition to providing visual components.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limits to what you can do with an upper-body view. Research shows that non-verbal hand gestures can be impactful to user perceptions but this is not something that can be controlled. In addition to this, facial features cannot be changed either. This means that your characters will often stay smiling which is often not appropriate for more serious applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our group is creating a chat-based interface using synthesis videos that help to train students in the medical field. We have found that collaborators and students are much more likely to accept these characters on first impression than the previous 3D virtual humans we used.

Assure that your needs can be met with just an upper body.
Synthesia did an excellent job creating a personalized video for our clients.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the whole concept of more video content in general. I've found that each video can be personalized for our clients. We are not a normal recruiting agency and we are first movers in how we recruit in advisory boards. Synthesia fits our first mover mentality and the feedback from our clients to receive personalized videos containing useful information has been overwhelming. Definitely the right way to go!
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor pronunciation errors with company names, but I found instructions on how to rewrite part of the text, which solved my problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is a huge potential on how you can produce all these videos in no time. We started using Synthesia to create personalized videos, which was more of an added gesture for our clients, but once we started creating the videos, we saw the potential to create a lot more content for our website, YouTube, and onboarding videos for new employees in the future.
