What do you like best about the product?
We've been using this software for the past year, and it's significantly improved our video creation process. It's incredibly easy to create and edit videos, even for team members with no prior experience. The ability to use different accents has helped us communicate more clearly with our diverse audience. Overall, it has made our video production much faster and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
To start and get the pricing there was a delay respond from the team but its resolved now

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia really shines if you need to make a lot of professional-looking videos without the hassle of filming. The platform is super easy to use: you just type in your script, pick an avatar, and you’ve got a polished video in minutes. It’s a huge time saver, and compared to hiring actors, cameras, and editors, it can cut costs dramatically. I also like how it supports so many languages and accents, which makes it simple to create content for global audiences. For corporate training, onboarding, and explainer videos, it feels almost tailor-made.
What do you dislike about the product?
That said, there are some trade-offs. While the avatars look realistic, their movements and expressions can feel a little stiff or robotic, especially if you’re aiming for a natural or emotional delivery. The style of the videos can start to feel “same-y” if you rely too much on the defaults without layering in your own branding or creative touches. And while it’s great for scaling content, it’s not exactly cheap: the subscription price might feel high if you’re a solo creator or a smaller business. It also isn’t the right tool if you’re trying to tell stories with nuance or personality.

Synthesia solves the biggest headache of video creation: the time, cost, and resources it normally takes to produce polished content. Instead of coordinating a studio setup, hiring talent, or spending hours editing, I can turn a script into a professional-looking video in minutes. That speed is a game-changer — especially when I need to produce multiple training modules, explainers, or internal communications without bottlenecks. It also helps with consistency. Every video has the same look, feel, and branding, which keeps content polished across teams. And because it supports so many languages, I can scale content globally without needing separate voice actors or translations.

The main drawback for me is that I can't adjust individual avatar actions; instead, I have to regenerate the whole video each time hoping for the best.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that there is an overzealous content filter in Synthesia that blocks videos which contain certain terms like '******'. This is problematic because we conduct training on specific topics such as harassment, and not being able to use necessary terminology makes it challenging to create effective training content. It's crucial for us to be able to use such words to address these important issues adequately. This restrictive filtering needs to be addressed promptly to improve our ability to develop comprehensive training materials.

I find Synthesia speeds up video production for elearning, enhancing the learning experience for students. It provides high-quality video content, vital for richer educational materials. However, the overly strict content filter hampers creating essential training videos on sensitive topics.
Easy to Use, But Pricey
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use and straightforward nature of Synthesia, which makes it accessible for anyone, including people like me. The AI creation and customizable templates are incredibly beneficial, allowing me to start videos from scratch and manipulate them by adding media, text, video, and special effects. The whole process of creating informational videos is made easy by breaking down content into bite-sized pieces.

The price, it's just so expensive.

While it's understandable, it would be great if the generation/review of personal avatars were faster -- takes several minutes.

I need to make numerous videos for my role in product management -- documentation/feature videos as well as quick "how to" clips. Synthesia has saved me so much time and improved the quality of my work.
Great product with tons of potential
What do you like best about the product?
The creation is process is pretty straightforward and easy for me and the team to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides but I would like to see:
- improved importing functionality from word doc, sometimes content gets jumbled or is missing from import
- change color of active slide on sidebar, easy to get lost as the contrast isn't enough... you changed it to purple but thats only if window is active, when im running 2-3 windows it defaults to the old grey that is hardly visible

Sometimes the avatars facial expressions can feel a bit stiff, and the voices while good don’t always match every tone or emotion I want. It’s also a bit pricey if you only need to create videos occasionally.

Synthesia takes away the stress of filming and being on camera myself. I just write my script and get a polished video in minutes, which means I can share training or marketing content much faster without spending money on equipment or hiring presenters.
