Odaseva is a simple and amazing platform
What do you like best about the product?
In our Org backing up data has always been performed manually through the weekly exports, and while this worked for us it was not an actual solution for backup AND recovery. As our org grew in size so did the complexity and number of group of Users within it. This forced us to review our current process and find an enterprise solution. Odaseva is a very powerful platform that was incredibly easy to setup and use, through the use of the audit reports we were able to identify what objects, app or fields were missing permission to capture that data as well as our metadata. The interface is packed with many features but in a straight forward layout that's easy to navigate and understand. The support from Odaseva in getting our Orgs connected and the hourly, nightly and weekly full backs was streamline and again, very simple. Their guides and documentation are loaded with a ton of great content making it easy to learn and use. I could not recommend a better system for back up and recovery.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no dislikes about the platform, it has provided us with every solution we required and there are still additional features and function that we have yet to utilize but will be able to do in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing the out-of-the-box weekly export functionality that Salesforce current offers for a backup, and a net new function of being able to restore data.
Very easy to backup data in Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
I like the complete automation of data backup. We just have to connect our org with the odaseva platform and thats it. Rest is taken care by their team. I also like the UI of the odaseva platform. We can view all the governor limits and the org wide analytics at one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything to say that I don't like in Odaseva. This is really helpful tool for us right now. One thing I would like to suggest is to have more articles in knowledge base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sandbox seeding and our org's complete performance review and their rollback features are really benefiting us right now. we can even mask the data to be in compliance with HIPAA.
The most intuitive, fast and simple backup solution!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite function is the console of monitoring; in a single view, it's possible to overview all backups or plan execution, possibility to check the limits of the contract.
What do you dislike about the product?
Guys for me it's all perfect as is; some visual effect or graph to make a quick presentation could be appreciated. Introduction of italian language could be the top.. for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Few effort to get a similar affidability with this price. Now we can spend the gained time on other planned activities, and our customer data are automatically warranted.
Odaseva review
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Odaseva.
From extracting data from backups to see how data has changed over time, to anonymising data in sandboxes (dataseeding).
However, just because you have your data backed up with Odaseva (or any other backup software), doesn’t mean you can restore the data to Salesforce. You need to have a ByPass strategy to handle automations including triggers, workflow, process builders, flow, validation rules, assignment
rules, auto-response rules, and escalation rules.
Odaseva knowledge base is a little lean on details at times, but Odaseva has all the documentation (whitepapers) you need to set your organisation up for success e.g., The complete guide to Salesforce backup and restore.
My organisation must restore historical data without changing it. This can present challenges e.g., inactive values in restricted picklists. This is a Salesforce limitation, not an Odaseva limitation. These issues need to be clearly understood. Odaseva logs clearly identify these issues and help you to identify the cause and possible resolutions.
Odaseva is really versatile, from a simple automated job to a multi-step job where you deal with the many challenges required for sandbox seeding e.g., building gender anonymisation using a random number generator to randomly select gender from a list of Male, Female and Other.
Odaseva support have been able to answer my many queries on my journey using Odaseva.
I have only scratched the surface of the capabilities of what Odaseva can do and have no hesitation in recommending Odaseva as a backup tool.

Defining RPO & RTO metrics for Salesforce data recovery plan is made easy thanks to Odaseva platform
What do you like best about the product?
Odaseva is most helpful when we accidentally delete/modify our customer data & feel the need to retrieve them at a later point in time. We specify point-in-time backup schedules in its platform for all our organization's data project commitments. With these backups, we hold not only our sensitive customer data but also relationships & connection to dependent records, which are crucial for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything, in particular, to dislike about Odaseva. We feel comfortable working in its platform as it incorporates quick rollback features, testing backup provisions in a sandbox environment and sets up alerts to notify backup status. Its authentication protocols are also short & we can administer policies & permissions for our associates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While organizing our data recovery plan, the two most crucial parameters are Recovery Point Objective (RPO) & Recovery Time Objective (RTO). Odaseva reduces the complexities involved in defining RPO & RTO attributes for our recovery items. We can also overview the entire scope & purpose of our data recovery plan & organize procedural steps and SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) in its intuitive console. Odaseva also allows us to gain insights into the activities performed & their approval processes.

What do you like best about the product?
The web portal enables a 360° view of backups achievements and helps to see errors when they occur. It reassures the operational teams in daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the data model needs to be expanded, you have to tailor the backup/restore script demanding expertise that the end customer have to face

It solves business continuity and ensures that company assets are safe even if Salesforce disruption are uncommon
A full Salesforce Solution for Backups and Recovery
What do you like best about the product?
Clear onboarding and setup path together with the Odaseva specialists to get the first backup in place asap.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning platform could be a bit more interactive. I would like to see a good mixture of videos, exercises and text for the introduction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GDPR conformity and the requirement to be able to restore backups in case of data loss. In addition: encryption of the data and a deletion concept.
