Reliable Email Protection That Keeps Threats Out Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Barracuda Email Protection is its consistent reliability in blocking spam and phishing emails from reaching my inbox. It operates seamlessly in the background, never interfering with my workflow, and provides reassurance that harmful emails are intercepted before they can cause any issues. Additionally, the reporting and management tools are intuitive, making it much simpler to keep an eye on security.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most frustrating about Barracuda Email Protection is that legitimate emails sometimes end up in the spam filter. Although the system is effective at blocking threats, I occasionally have to spend extra time double-checking to ensure that important messages haven't been mistakenly flagged. Aside from this issue, the product performs very well overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda Email Protection addresses the challenge of email-borne threats such as spam, phishing, and malware. By filtering these threats before they reach our inbox, it helps lower the risk of security incidents and ensures that our email communication remains dependable. As a result, we spend less time managing malicious emails, experience fewer interruptions, and feel more confident that our team can work securely and efficiently.

Solid Email Protection, But Needs Better AI and Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Barracuda Email Protection for its interface consistency over the years, which, once learned, remains familiar despite any changes. This stability is a huge plus as it allows for ease of management without having to re-learn the UI whenever updates occur. The software does an effective job of stopping a significant number of bad emails, including spam and phishing attempts, which is crucial for maintaining the email security of our organization. The ease of initial setup was another pleasant experience, ensuring a smooth transition when we switched from Avanan. If bad spam or phishing attacks are prevented, I find the service very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not happy with the lack of mobile reporting with Barracuda Email Protection, which limits the flexibility of accessing reports on the go. The value of the service is diminishing due to fierce competition from Microsoft E5, which seems to be advancing at a faster pace. There’s insufficient development to reduce false positives and handle domains that send both legitimate and spam messages simultaneously. The current AI capabilities for filtering are underwhelming, making it less effective in differentiating between harmful and harmless emails. The bundles offered are becoming less attractive as Microsoft keeps pushing forward with compelling options, making it tough for Barracuda Email Protection to stand out. To survive in this competitive market, the development efforts need to surpass Microsoft's advancements; otherwise, the value proposition will continue to decline.

I find Barracuda Email Protection invaluable for preventing spam, phishing, and malicious emails, enhancing our organization's email defense.
Great Experience, Recommend for Email Protection!
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Email Protection is a great product due to the ease of use for our Administrators and also our end users. The daily emails are very beneficial to keep possible spam out of the inbox. There is an easy way to contact support if assistance is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the filter can be a bit too aggressive and ends up flagging emails that aren't actually malicious. While it's generally safer to err on the side of caution, it can be frustrating for our users when legitimate emails are mistakenly placed in quarantine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda Email Protection has been instrumental in preventing users from clicking on malicious emails, as well as stopping these harmful messages from reaching their inboxes in the first place. Our goal is to maintain a robust security posture, and this solution supports us in achieving that.

What do you like best about the product?
Robust platform to keep email safe. Much better than what comes standard in office.

At times, the quarantine feature can be a little too "over-protective."

The interface is convenient and easy to use, making it simple to navigate. It is also highly effective at keeping unwanted emails out of my inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I can identify is the need to maintain several separate white lists for various types of spam. This can be a bit inconvenient, as it requires managing multiple lists instead of just one.

Lowering the amount of useless emails that reach our employees. It also helps secure us from cyber attacks through email.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Barracuda Email Protection extremely valuable for its Outlook reporting feature, which integrates seamlessly and enhances our ability to handle suspicious emails. This feature particularly stands out because it saves significant time for support admins by automating the process of entering reported suspicious emails into the system, thereby effectively blocking them without manual intervention. This automation capability is a real time-saver as it alleviates the tedious task of manually inputting information into the Barracuda system, allowing us to focus more on critical tasks. Additionally, using Barracuda for Domain Fraud Protection has been a positive experience, and the software seems adept in providing robust protections which made us confident in switching from our previous service, KnowBe4.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it limiting that when creating an incident on a reported email, there's only one option to email the user(s), and it would be beneficial to have several email options for different scenarios. Additionally, the initial setup requires a lot of steps and dependency on support to configure it correctly, which could be streamlined for ease of use.

I use Barracuda Email Protection to help employees report suspicious emails instead of clicking on links, saving me time from manually entering these into the system and automating the blocking process.
Effortless Email Security with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Email Protection stops almost all email threats before they make it to the end users. This makes dealing with threat protection so much easier, it's almost automatic. It was incredibly easy and fast to get started with Barracuda's selection of products and their support team made it easy to get through the few issues we had integrating this into our program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside, if you can call it that, is that email protection will occasionally stop emails with false positives. They do have an easy process for getting those emails through to end users once discovered though, and you can whitelist senders to keep it from happening again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It offers peace of mind when dealing with the massive amount of spam, impersonation, and threat containing emails and really automates the handling of those issues. The team is reaching out to IT 90% less with questions about emails that don't seem legitimate.

What do you like best about the product?
Very thorough, very responsive. Fairly easy to use.

I can't think of anything that I dislike about Barracuda.

The most important thing is that it is efficient at catching malicious emails, therefore lowering our threat risk.
