Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and implement once it is activated. All I need to do is hit a button, and the email is fully encrypted and private.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, I can't see my own emails after they have been encrypted. Also, sometimes Virtru bugs out and will not activate on my emails and I have to restart it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping confidental emails private and it eases some stress.

I find Virtru Email Encryption very beneficial. It effectively addresses the challenges of insecure email and sensitive data sharing by offering end-to-end encryption and granular data controls. This helps mitigate vulnerabilities from common threats such as data breaches, regulatory violations, and accidental human error. As a user, I particularly appreciate its ability to secure the significant amount of patient information I handle.

AT times some of our vendors, like the Santa Barbara county courts are unable to receive the encrypted documents. It may be due to their software but it is still annoying

Reliable for Email Encryption Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Virtru Email Encryption ensures my emails are sent with encryption, which is crucial for maintaining security in my communications at work. The setup process was straightforward, which made it easy to start using the service seamlessly.

I don't like that Virtru Email Encryption doesn't log me out automatically, which might require me to use Virtru just to look at my own email.

I use Virtru to send encrypted emails as part of my job, although it doesn't solve specific problems for me.

Safe, secure for peace of mind
What do you like best about the product?
It is HIPPA compliant reminding you that your email MAY contain information that should be encrypted is helpful. Especially when you are quickly replying to an outside agency. It's easy to participate and maintain and seems to be easy for the recipient to open.

Being directed to sign in when reviewing a sent email.

It assures our clients that their personal information is safe and in line with HIPPA compliance.
Frustrating Reliability Issues Overshadow Email Security
What do you like best about the product?
Virtru’s email encryption is valuable, and the integration with my email platform is straightforward when it works. Protecting sensitive communication is a key benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The service frequently disconnects from my account without notice, causing emails to send blank and recipients to be unable to open them. I must repeatedly uninstall, reinstall, and reconnect the service, which is disruptive. These reliability issues make it difficult to trust Virtru for professional use.

Virtru Email Encryption is designed to protect sensitive information by encrypting emails and attachments, ensuring only intended recipients can access the content. This is highly beneficial for maintaining professional and secure communication. However, in my experience, frequent disconnections from my account and occasional blank emails reduce its reliability, which limits my ability to fully trust it for consistent secure messaging.

It seamlessly meshes with our gmail, adding a layer of privacy security for our mental health agency business.
