A structured and straightforward approach to compliance certifications
What do you like best about the product?
We used Thoropass for our Soc2 Type 1 report and it helps us streamline the process and achieve it on time. It has all the resources, automations and templates to help your team achieve this.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are parts where the UX would need to improve. Some areas are also missing full documentation, or the templates are too copy/paste.

What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass' template based approach to compliance documentation makes spinning up policy documents really rapid compared to conventional approaches. Afterwards, the UI does a great job of detailing all of of the components needed to complete certification clearly so you don't get lost in the details.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be fiddly to get integrations to work the way you need to and communication is mostly driven by tagging advisors in comments, which can create some back and forth when nuance is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without needing to hire additional or specialized staff we were able to complete our SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 audits in 8 months.

-Some of our policies needed to be in spanish and only english was available

Audit is included in the price of the software

Found that some of the integrations don't work as well as we'd like and so still had to do mostly manual evidence submission

They were dedicated to our company's success. It was so easy to work with them, because they would definitely make sure everything led to completion of the audit

The company went through an acquisition so that slowed us down, but also led to a better result.

What do you like best about the product?
Thoropas was incredibly effective in helping us achieve our Soc-II compliance for the first time. The support was exceptional and the platform was very easy to use. We expected it to be far more cubmersome than it was but they made things easy and were grea tto work with.

Absolutely nohting. I have literally no complaints at all.

Helping us stay on top of all necessary security and comliance task and maintaining our Soc-II certification.
Great Experience with Thoropass
What do you like best about the product?
There is a huge variety of functions and services, great support and response time, and lots of information resources and explanations to support security and audit needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functions of the platform are a bit difficult to navigate, and some of the security control implementation language is confusing as to the prioritization, and while most have great detail, some control text is sparce that could benefit from additional explanation and detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass is solving a variety of problems such as overall security program implementation management, audit services for SOC 2 Type 1 & 2 audits, as well as tracking administrative tasks such as training documentation and vendor management support. This is benefitting our team immensely through enabling efficient processes and thorough execution of security program goals.
Helpful for first-time SOC 2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass was the best value we could find for the services we needed. It was also easy to assign different tasks to different team members, and I love that there are annual training courses that have built in completion tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest criticism is the lack of followup from the team at Thoropass. We signed a contract for certain services to be completed, then after beginning the process and realizing how much time it would really take, it got shoved down our priorty list. This is completely our fault, but it would have been so helpful to have team members from Thoropass reach out and remind us that we need to complete this before the contract runs out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass helped us reach SOC 2 compliance for the first time. We wouldn't have known where to start had we tried this on our own, and they were a better value than our local CPA firm.
Great Product and Team to work with for SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Thoropass, achieving SOC2 and HIPAA compliance is no longer a daunting task. Thoropass account/compliance team are very helpful and have streamlined the process very well. Integrations to BitBucket/AWS/Jira are time saving utilities when collecting evidences during the audit period. Continue to innovate and delight your customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to dislike but there are always opportunities to make the process seamless by adding more integrations that map directly to the evidences that are required during the audit. I have seen a few glitches and/or useability issues with the new UI but I am sure the team is working on correcting them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Thoropass for SOC2 and HIPAA compliance which is required for any Fintech startup. Their platform and the team made it easy for a small company like ours.
