The experience was overall positive.
What do you like best about the product?
The auditors and account managers were very responsive and helpful guiding us through our first SOC 2 TYPE II certification. There was always quick to reply to questions and help us focus on what mattered most durring the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The website, although better than when we first joined, is still a bit confusing to use. Deep links to really work. There isn't a clear way to know how to get arround the site without having someone walk you through or setting aside time to explore the website in detail. Uploading evidence prooved to be more difficult than necessary as files would end up being corrupted somewhere between uploading and viewing on the platform. Files in the evidence section don't always load for some reason. There was also a lot of ambiguity of what "evidence" meant on a case per case basis. We assumed it meant screenshots, but it would have been nice to see an example of what "evidence" meant for different types of spotchecks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audit management, Vendor security assessments and documetation.

What do you like best about the product?
The website is easy to configure and navigate and the customer support was extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to find anything I disliked.

Many of our customers in healthcare are expecting SOC 2 Type II compliance.
Thoropass's expertise, professionalism and insight proved invaluable for our initial audit.

Preparing our company for its initial SOC 2 Type II audit; ensuring our company maintains proper policies and stated controls are evidenced to align with documented policies.

Getting SOC 2 Certified (Type I and Type II) in a reasonable time frame for enterprise customers.
Great tool for SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass is easy to use and stores all audit evidence in a centralized location. It helps break down the milestones and monitors integrations automatically. As a company going through SOC2 for the first time, it makes it really easy for us to visualize and track our progress. In addition, the customer success manager is always available and very responsive to our team's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some bugs with offboarding employees who have left, they are not always automatically removed, but that is it be expected with any new feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us achieve SOC2 compliance. We are a medtech company, so we use this to make sure we are protecting our data properly.
Thoropass gives clarity to the confusing world of compliance
What do you like best about the product?
As a CTO of a small startup, having all complaince information in one place saves a ton of time and headache.
As someone who came from an engineering background, I had personally never had exposure to complaince and the audit process. Having at least a SOC2 is now a privacy requirement for most B2B SAAS companies, so working with Thoropass made it clear what we needed to do from day 1 to become compliant and STAY compliant. We also enjoyed that they have their own team of auditors to work with on the SOC2 and ISO sides, which made the actual audit process smooth.
Thier customer support is also very helpful. They are always willing to help and in a timely fashion.

The word editor needs some work, sometimes it is hard to use but luckly we dont have to use it much.

Thoropass is keeping all of our audit documents and policies organized. Thoropass also keeps us on track with all of the requirements for the audit (evidence collection, internal audits, pentests, etc) and keeps us on the proper timelines.

What do you like best about the product?
We first met in the end of 2022 and implemented the service into our workstream when we first time passed SOC-2 audit. Our application works closely with Google services, Thoropass has a lot of integrations with them so it's very userful feature for us. The interface is quite easy to understand and to work with. We use the service quite often to maintain some of our daily routine (such as policies, documentation, trainings, etc.). BTW, they have pretty good customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally for our team the new interface with the Roadmap presentation is less preffarable than the Playbooks were. We would like to have an option to choose between them.

Without Thoropass, for our team was really challenging to go through all the processes related to SOC-2 audit.

I enjoy working with their representative, who is very helpful and ensures a smooth process. He is thorough, making everything easy for me. I also appreciate having all my compliance information in one place and being informed in advance at every step, which helps me prepare accordingly. I find this very helpful.

Very helpful taking us through the SOC2 audit - easy to use and great support when there are specific issues unique to our business that need to be resolved
