Customer service is flexible to needs

  • March 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Overall, I liked that the platform was made for marketers and their sales demonstrations were good.

Customer service has been very flexible towards our needs for local grant approvals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a new company there were some bugs but ultimately they were able to address the bugs quite quickly and we were able to continue with our service as planned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having issues with their tools simply not being as flexible as they've initially sold. Their Present/Reporting tool which looks fantastic on the website is extremely difficult to produce compared to a free tool like Data Studio.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Revise the terms of the agreement to ensure you have the flexibility to change based on your needs or if Adverity does not deliver to the ever-evolving industry standards.

Do not sign any long-term deal with them as I have made that mistake. I signed on for 24-months and in that period, they've fallen very far behind Google Data Studio's latest updates.

Their enrich tool will still require you to host your data on BigQuery because Adverity's hosting is extremely buggy and at times limited.

Democratizing data for marketers - A great low-no-code ETL tool

  • March 04, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows my team of marketers who are not data engineers to extract and transform data without having to learn python (although it's helpful). Supermetrics and similar solutions pull the data, but there is a ton of data strategy around schema naming conventions and work to manipulate the data that still needs to be done. Adverity lets us standardize our data strategy and schema across our clients and accounts, and it saves us a ton of time and human error versus doing this in Google Sheets, Excel, or directly in a visualization engine like Google Data Studio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited governance - When we set up a workspace or data stream, I'd like to be able to limit the accounts available so it doesn't accidentally pull from multiple. Also, it would be great to have Google SSO available out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use Adverity to build marketing databases for our clients (we are a B2B marketing consultagency). There are three primary use cases:

1. Audit marketing and advertising platforms - We have data stream templates created that we pull into visualization templates which reduces the time needed to audit an account when we're starting to work with a new client, and it improves the visualization of findings. For example, we use a tree map to visualize the structure of a LinkedIn Ads account and see how it's organized into Campaign Groups, Campaigns, and Ads, and see where they are spending the most and getting the best performance.

2. QA - We set up specific data streams to pull settings and compare actual values against expected to quickly and easily identify discrepancies. For example, if a campaign on Google Ads is supposed to be targeting EMEA but 30% of the budget is being delivered in APAC, we can see that immediately and know that the location targeting settings may be incorrect.

3. Performance Reporting - We again have data stream templates set up to pull standard data for marketing performance reporting. We also use enrichments to create custom dimensions to categorize the data according to the client's business. For example, some clients call geographic regions like APAC "theaters" and some call them "territories" or "regions." Some call it "AMS" and some call it "AMER". We can easily use enrichments to reflect their taxonomy and make the reporting custom to them.

Additionally, we're working with our amazing account manager to create custom budget burn and workload forecasting by joining our time tracking system with our project management tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you've been struggling with Supermetrics, direct connections to APIs, or you just don't want to hire a data engineer, this is a great tool.

Great tool to automate ETL pipelines

  • March 03, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Adverity has a very easy to use UI panel in which setting up connections, datastreams, and destinations take only a few minutes. It has a very broad range of connectors and as of now, it has all connectors I need. It also supports many destinations, including Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery. The monthly calls with the account manager makes it more customer focused and the ability to talk about problems, feature requests or any other topics regarding adverity creates a feeling of being cared for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation and adverity management API is definitely something that should be improved. Documentation is missing many available options and in case of the API it is also missing some endpoints. API is missing many functionalities of the UI panel, for example ability to fetch lifetime of a campaign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By having so many connectors and easy to use UI, adverity allows us to save time when building ETL pipelines. Because of saved time and therefore costs, we can connect with smaller data providers we probably wouldn't connect with if it wasn't with adverity.

Automation of the reporting process

  • March 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Uncomplicated setup of datastreams and connectors
- implementation of external visualization tools like Google Data Studio
- outstanding support
- constant development on new features
- future-proof solution for our company
What do you dislike about the product?
- Enrichment setup is quite hard for someone who's not familiar with basic coding
- in the beginning, some features of the Facebook connector weren't working properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Automation of the reporting processes
- Visualizing data in third-party platforms
- Combining and harmonizing data from several customers to improve business decisions
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get in contact with the Adverity team.
They will give you a detailed demo and find the right solution for your business model.

A few clicks and data is starting to flow

  • February 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers all the necessary functions, from data integration and storage options to visualization.
We currently only use data integration, enrichment and transfer in our data lake. We are currently working on various use cases to use Adverity's other functions, such as dashboards and AI, for our customers.
I have already worked with some integration tools and I am happy to have it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, there is really nothing that I would really rate as bad or negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We integrate data from our various marketing tools connected via API. In my previous companies, API management was always a problem because interfaces change or are complex to maintain. Here we are relieved of this work and there are always updates to connectors or completely new connectors are added. We store all data in our Data Platform with regular updates, which is so easy to integrate. Simply great!

Extremely robust system with new features coming regularly

  • February 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Adverity is the ability to blend different data sources in a very simple manner. The simplicity belies the overall power of the platform, however, with the ability to plug directly into cloud databases, data sources, and custom APIs with just a little more knowledge of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adverity has many of the same pitfalls that come with using high-end software that hasn't been around very long - many of the more advanced features have sparse to no documentation and require you to do a bit of manual testing and experimenting to get everything running exactly how you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-channel reporting and analysis are the main answer here. We've been able to build custom dashboards that combine information in bespoke visualizations for our clients, something that has made them extremely grateful.

Media Analytics Dashboarding

  • December 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Adveritys direct API connection to platforms like Facebook, Google Ads, Reddit and several DSPs saves us time with dashboard set up. Adveritys managed service team helps to troubleshoot errors and build reporting widgets for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Current Adverity does not have a simple solution for importing data that is collected on different time zones all under one time zone. For this reason we have to manually import a few platforms running on UTC.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built multiple dashboard views that serve both internal agency teams and client teams. Each have different data and widgets included depending on the level of information needed. The client has direct access to the dashboard which reduces back and forth time of connecting over email when they have questions.

    Online Media

Great support network and wide range of media platforms available

  • December 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very quick response to support queries plus follow-ups. Wide range of media platforms available on adverity, which helps us acquire data automatically for almost all our needs
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be more user friendly. Sometimes using the fixed fields is not so easy especially when we have lots of metrics and dimensions. Also, it will be best if restrictions due to platforms' APIs are listed somewhere for self review and support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key biz problem is automated and efficient data acquisition on a scheduled basis. This helped us to save alot of time on data mgt and allow our teams to focus more on our clients' biz issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Users need to understand the various media platforms sufficiently or be able to research their API developer documentation before using Adverity on a more advanced level.
