Real time web data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
It is quite intuitive to use, but most importantly, the visuals look nice and polished. It is easy to share content, and the contract allows multiple users to interact at a flat rate
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with cloud data sources is missing or difficult to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking how many page views we get, and more importantly understanding how the user interact with the different flows
Good experience for begineers
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly and easy to understand for someone with limited tech backfground
The fact that you can create notebooks with notes in addition to charts is also very very cool

What do you dislike about the product?
The academy courses could be more fun and engaging
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing what my trial conversions are
Very clear and straightforward
What do you like best about the product?
The AI assist for creating a chart is very useful, although it needs some manual tweaks. But is perfect for a boilerplate
What do you dislike about the product?
Some concepts are a bit hard to understand, but that's probably because I'm a dev and I'm not the target audience. Still, I found it very easy to start playing around data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help us see what our users do and how they do it. It provides clear dashboards to use daily.
Use for Marketing campaigns
What do you like best about the product?
It was the first tool we used to clearly identify the marketing sources of our users. This brought a significant advancement in our data analysis and helped better connect media efforts with product outcomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least is that, despite being a powerful tool, setting up custom events and ensuring data consistency can be a bit complex, especially when we rely on integration between areas. Sometimes, I also miss a more direct visualization for funnel analysis with multiple marketing variables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude has been helping us solve an important problem of lack of visibility over the user journey, especially in the initial acquisition stage. Before, we couldn't clearly connect marketing sources to behaviors within our digital environment.
With the tool, we started to understand which channels really generate engaged users, identify drop-off points in the funnel, and thus we are able to make more precise decisions about media investment. This also helps in budget allocation and campaign optimization, based on real behavioral data, and not just click metrics.

Super well polished and powerful platform for software product success
What do you like best about the product?
A platform this powerful could have a clunky, nerdy design that non-developers like me would struggle to figure out. But Amplitude is delightfully approachable and well-thought-out. The sample reports and dummy data set help give a sense of what's possible. The range of report types and the deep flexibility in customizing them is key as we spend more time with our data set. The reliability seems to be rock solid. And the integrations with other platforms are super straightforward (I've connected Amplitude with Appcues and Iterable so far).
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid plans seem a bit complicated. And a bit too much functionality is hidden behind the annual-commit "contact us" plans. I think if you made more of the goodies available on the pay-as-you-go plan it would be easier to prove out the ROI for stakeholders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Driving product activation and retention goals by identifying: where is the falloff in our freemium web application; which segments of users perform best; where do we need to add more onboarding help?
It is a great tool not only to track usage but to later analyze data and create reports
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Chrome extension that allow non-technical people to understand which events are being sent and which data is being tracked.
It's also great how can you manage your events and props, making it possible to later merge them

What do you dislike about the product?
That there is no way to track all user interactions. There are other services that allow to track every on click for the user and later convert it to events.
That would be useful because very often we forget to add tracking to an event and when we add it there's no way to know how many times it was triggered in the past.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding how are our users interacting with our application and taking product decisions based on that.
If a functionality is never used then we either remove it or make it more visible
If there are two different ways to achieve the same result, then we keep the most used one

Solid for Growth Stage Startups
What do you like best about the product?
Easily the biggest upside with Amplitude Analytics is how easy it makes it for non-technical employees to dive into analytics themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, keep in mind the cost of Amplitude can skyrocket as you grow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude Analytics to understand everything about our users from how long their sessions are, how many are on our site at once, how often users use key features, where major dropoff points are, and if there's region specific or otherwise anomalous user behavior worth investigating for security purposes or feature ideas.
Embedding analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to embed analytics as code into other platforms has been amazing. Bringing this information to our users has had great feedback as we can share live data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to visually customise graphs to make them our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking our active users through a range of projects that they use our platform for. This allows for decisions makers of the company we are services to make informed decisions.
Must have for product who wants scale
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, features & ease of integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
AI inbuilt reports are not available which can be of good help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude allows us to evaluate the drop in funnel & help us make informed decisions on the product.
Using Amplitude as a PM
What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about Amplitude is how easy it makes digging into user behavior. We have only one Product Analyst in our organization, so I’m often working independently when it comes to focused research. Even if you're not super technical, you can build funnels, explore user journeys, or slice and dice the data to figure out what’s working and what’s not. The "explorer" feature is super helpful for troubleshooting, and defining analytics tasks. I also like to automated digests and dashboards auto sent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user journeys feature is not very intuitive, and it’s hard to understand user behavior through it (at least as a PM).
We’re very tied to Amplitude due to our implementation and event history, so switching to another vendor would be difficult (though I’m not sure that counts as a “dislike”).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us understand how users interact with our product and understand adoption and stickiness - which features are most valuable to our users and where to invest more resources.
