What do you dislike about the product?
Literally nothing. Support has been great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spinning up a Mac management environment from nothing with the help of the Jamf Jumpstart and Jamf in-person training courses. With those tools offered by Jamf, I was able to be thrown into an enterprise-level Mac management requirement with little-to-no Mac management experience in under a year.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the gold standard for Mac management.

I haven't found any deal breakers that affect my appreciation if JAMF as yet.

Zero touch with DEP allows me to comply with safety standards of the pandemic while deploying machines as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JAMF pro allows an admin to manage Apps, Computers and Mobile devices with ease. Even better? Zero touch deployment so you can maintain social distancing and still get the job done.
Best tool for macOS and iOS management.

The learning curve can be steep, take the classes and take advantage of the Jamf Nation. Great resources!

Making Apple an Enterprise Product Line
What do you like best about the product?
It is helpful for making Macs and OS X viable in an enterprise environment, it beats the competitors by being updated regularly and being able to meet the demands / needs of modern technology expectations.
I find it significantly easier to make changes and fix problems in computer lab scenarios for professors or students with almost immediate response and application. Ranging from a 15 minute checkin where you can submit all changes to be taken, or allow it to go to your sites "Jamf Shop" where you can have users download Apps or scripts from your IT department almost like the App Store.
It is absolutely a necessity and I highly recommend getting Jamf setup at your institution if you are looking for a modern and efficient method of managing your macs or IOS devices.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike very little about this product. If I have to find something that is bashing the product I would have to say the Device Enrollment Process (A mostly Apple hosted feature) is at times a bit clunky to initially setup. Granted once it is established, it is immediately worth the struggle from having to work on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jamf Pro to solve our Lab management and Faculty/Staff Macs while keeping them secure on demand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended for a professional and regularly updated system for managing OS X infrastructure

From Timbuktu to Mac Pro to vCenter
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro let us move to the platforms we needed. At first, we were using software on workstations to support other workstations, which was a mess. Partnering with Apple, we picked JAMF and installed the Casper Suite on Mac Pros. When it came time to retire that hardware, we had no problem setting up Jamf Pro on our Windows virtual servers in a vCenter environment. If we ever retire that, there's always the cloud!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I haven't been able to use more of their products, but we are an admittedly small Apple house, with a few hundred Macs and another few hundred iPads. If they work as slick as Jamf Pro, I'm missing out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro gives us the ability to manage policies and configuration profiles for all of our Macs and iPads, which is light years better than the bad old days of everyone having admin rights. Our ability to manage remotely and deploy software keeps the "pain" of not having administrative rights at bay, and very few of our clients even ask for it any more. More than that, I've been able to leverage my existing scripting skills to do things that aren't directly related to profiles, giving me even more control of the computers in our environment.
Jamf is everything we didn't know we were missing!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf makes it easy for us to support our growing staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature I would love to see is remote screen sharing over vpn within Jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote support for staff from Toronto to Orlando and the easiest onboarding flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it! There is so much you can do with it. The automation of deployments is my favorite!
