Leader in Apple MDM
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is not only a great MDM but is also making moves in the Apple security realm, hopefully creating the premier management and security product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UI in Jamf Pro is a bit dated and needs to be updated to the same standard as newer features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf allows a relatively small group of administrators to manage, patch, and secure a large fleet of Mac devices relatively easily.

Zero Day support of all OS upgrades

We use it everyday to resolve issues and deplooy software and it's easier to use than anything in the "Windows world".

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be very slow. Lots of clicks and waiting

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a fleet of over 300 macs, and Jamf makes it simple to manage and deploy settings, software, and updates.
Easy and robust!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro makes managing our device fleet relatively easy. The interface is quick to navigate and intuitive making it a snap. Key fetures, such as Locate Device, remote wipe, inventory, IP address, last known loaction and a host of others make the infomation very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I fell that that navigating back to a search is a bit challenging. For example, if I search for a device by name, I can't just click the back button to go back to my search. I have to click the category and retype the number. Minor inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf is allowing me to manage my entire Apple fleet from one place. This makes centralized management easy and convenient and allow us to be more productive and rollout changes, updates, and new programs quickly.
The gold standard of Apple MDM
What do you like best about the product?
It's a powerhouse. Jamf Pro has been the gold standard for years, and for a reason. There isn't anything I can do with other MDMs that I can't do with Jamf.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were fewer Product Issues and that their product team focused on refining and resolving them before moving on to many new features.
It would be nice to have some features baked into Jamf Pro (macOS Updates and DEP Notify) more than what they currently are.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our devices are accessible, secure, and managed, which allows us to provide the best end-user experience possible. We're comfortable knowing that Jamf has the ability to do whatever we need to with our devices (lock them down, deploy software, etc.)
JAMF is a great tool, easy to use, very powerful and effective.
What do you like best about the product?
Asset management and software distribution. JAMF Pro is a daily-use app for our IT team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that currently frustrates me about JAMF pro is not being able to change the logout time.

JAMF Pro allows us to distribute software remotely and manage software templates on lab computers in a single interface.
There's a Reason They're the Standard!
What do you like best about the product?
They're always looking for ways to improve their product but take a cautious approach. It's very much an Apple-style of doing things. They aren't always the first to hop on a new trend, but when they decide to implement a feature, it's well baked and ready to go!
What do you dislike about the product?
A little slow on things like UI, etc. But I assume that's because they're working on technical aspects instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Mac management. It's right on the tin! Many other MDM providers (Intune, etc.) aren't a Mac first solution, and many Mac first solutions aren't as established and skilled at working with big industry players, like Jamf is.
Excellent MDM that keeps improving
What do you like best about the product?
The available community for support. The options for on-premises or cloud server. The user interface has been refreshed and is even better looking. They have good customer support options. They have made finding settings easier to find and use. The integration we have was a pretty easy setup to get started and rolling with.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still times where it could be easier to setup some automated processes and check ins with mobile devices can fall off after no contact for a few months. Could be an Apple issue but maybe finding a way to cache locally some things for a reset would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping solve use cases of quickly setting up devices remotely or in person and deploying them with an app we need for virtual meetings. Jamf pro is helping keep devices locked to our organization and up to date. We are seeing a massive benefit to be able to customize settings on mobile devices and most recently deploy apps in self service on Mac too so people using them can get started quickly.
Great management system
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf pro is great for helping us manage our mac environment. It allows for easy deployment and software updates and management. It is very powerful software. The cloud option is a huge step up from on premise hosting
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Pro is a very involved system and it can get difficult to set up and maintain after the initial jump start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro helps with deployment of new machines and also allows us to upgrade and update all 50+ machines at once

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the platform and can manage most things without any issues. However, their support is top-notch when I do not know how to do something. I've tried a few free/low-cost solutions, and they were difficult to use and had poor support. Sometimes you need to speak to a knowledgeable human.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific to Jamf, but I always get nervous when renewing a certificate or updating Apple tokens. Only doing it once a year can be stressful. However, support will step me right through it. I believe all MDMs require this. It is expensive, but we are considering switching to Jamf School at a much better price. I do manage some MacOS with JAmf. I have more trouble with that than I do managing iOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can fix most issues remotely. With all students having a device and having less help, this is a must.
Everything you need in an MDM and more
What do you like best about the product?
They are very good product, does everything you need in MDM well. Very good support and availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it used to be you needed 50 minimum devices, but this might have changed now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing and securing corporate devices, pushing out software updates, enrollment and decomissioning.
