Easily leverage service levels and enhance security with Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect

What do you like best about the product?
How easily you can manipulate multiple devices with ease. For us, zero-touch deployments, Jamf Protect, and Restriction profiles have been a game-changer for us because we have automated several workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we've found that the documentation is poor. Sometimes, we've even found documentation that conflicts with each other. At the end of a major incident, we've often found ourselves wondering if we could have resolved it quicker if the issue was documented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said earlier, zero-touch deployments, Jamf Protect, and Restriction profiles have been a game-changer for us because we have automated several workflows for our support teams.

Hands down the best MDM tool

  • June 06, 2022

What do you like best about the product?
Friendly and seamless UI, tells you what you need to know quickly put, for more experienced users you can also drill down for more information. I've used Jamf for almost 10 years and i've never had an issue with it and it's easy to explain/train if you're wanting to shift left some access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users with Tech knowhow and admin access have figured how to remove the framework off devices (this isn't a common thing but can however be tricky in an event) - There should be more alerting for devices when their framework has been removed/corrupted to keep admins in the know on the device status without having to actively keep checking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More and more businesses are adapting a hybrid working environment, with Jamf I don't have to worry about a users Mac/iPhone/iPad is as I can ensure the correct systems are installed/running and the device is working as it should were it in the office. Being able to push policies/configs without the need of an internal network means a user can literally be halfway across the world and still be connecting to our systems. This allows for global companies to centralise their IT support teams as well. I've been using Jamf for a while now in my career and I haven't come across any other product that can do the same as Jamf can with the included 0 day support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Many new MDMs are popping up out there which makes choosing a new MDM tool much harder now than before, however, I do recommend Jamf Pro, their tool not only is so intensive it's easy to pick up and they have the best training available to make sure you utilise every available part to the best standards, their online documentation and forums are also really handy and the Jamf Pro community (not just employees at Jamf but the customers who use the tool daily) are super helpful and inclusive and always ready to offer a hand.

The UI is very easy to navigate, everything is self explanatory and it has a nice finish.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's minimal but the fact that it times out after a certain period of inactivity. That's it really!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management and the fact that it is automatic 😍

The ease of use. It's quick to create a policy and deploy to your fleet. Keeping an eye on compliance is incredibly easy ands ties in well with various other vendor products.

Compliance and Security
Easy Mac Refresh for new academic years
Easy to apply scripts and application packaging
Less complex and easy to integrate system
The fact it does integrate

Jamf, the perfect MDM for Apple

  • May 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about jamf is the ability to easily and simply manage all our apple products. These can be institutionally owned items or personal devices for a BYOD. This can be anything from macs and ipads to AppleTV devices. The choices are phenomenal. We can do simple commands such as locking the device to higher-level items such as pushing script to the self-service portal for end-users to send us logs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like the fact that apple limits jamf to control only. certain items. I completely understand there are certain areas that may be legally pressing but man is it difficult to try to set up a remote user and they need admin credentials to allow the ability to screen share in zoom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving our ability to manage apple devices with jamf pro. We didn't have a solution previous to this and the google admin console didn't provide the solution we truly needed. We realized many benefits, we can apply restrictions to these devices, and we can send out applications or even homemade applications. We can even send out scripts like we do with our windows environment
