What do you like best about the product?
Powerful: Jamf Pro offers an extensive range of features and capabilities for managing Apple devices for our company, this includes device enrollment, software deployment, patch management, security, and application management.
Easy-to-use: Jamf Pro is designed to be intuitive and easy to use for all stakeholders within our company. From our service desk to the engineering team and able to easily use the MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting: Jamf Pro reporting abilities on various aspects of the device lifecycle are lacking and we have to rely on various tools and jamf API to create reports when asked about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro currently serves as our MDM for Apple devices, and we use it to enroll devices. Manage software deployments and Mac OS and iOS updates. We use it to patch various apps with updates. We also use JAMF connect for IDM and to interface with our AAD services.

One Image = Hundreds of Devices

  • September 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how the devices we use in our healthcare environment all have the same image, same look and feeling so when going from one area to another, I can pick up a device and start using it with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to install apps on our own, but we understand that it's for the best security and we can always submit optimization requests to our developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a busy place and we need the iPhone to make calls, send messages and everyone having the same style of phone makes it easier to pick it up and get going.

Jamf Pro saves me so much time

  • September 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how it saves me time and makes it easier for my user to get what they need to do their job. Their customer service is fantastic and always has the answer I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
How it can be difficult to deploy certain apps. Wish I could see the status of updates when I submit them via JAMF, sometimes documentation has not been updated for years like in the case of Make Me Admin and unusable with all the changes Apple and Jamf has made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest thing it does it allows me to deploy applications and settings remotely without having to go to every single computer and manually add it. Jamf Pro makes us more proficient. Including remotely adding printers and updating software

Go to MDM for large Apple fleet management!

  • September 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is our go to MDM product for our Apple clients. While there are several MDM platforms out there, the Jamf Pro binary for macOS management is a game changer. The simplicity of deploying complex configurations, settings or automations make it easy for any of our admins to perform a task that would require more expertise to acheive in other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only "dislike" I have with Jamf Pro is the cost. For our larger clients, we can pretty easily justify the cost. For clients with a smaller Apple footprint, the cost/benefit ratio just isn't there. This makes it hard to standardize our client base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is crititcal in helping us quickly manage our client's Apple devices. The use of the Jamf Pro API has allowed us to streamline the deployment of settings, groups and policies across our entire client base with ease.

The Ultimate Guardian for Our 1:1 Apple School

  • September 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro plays a large role in our school's IT infrastructure. It's features make it an important tool for an Apple campus of our size that is 1:1. We have used Jamf Pro for over 5 years and we have nothing but good things to say about it. We love the seamless application deployment and robust device monitoring for all of our staff and student devices. All manageable via a user-friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost for Jamf Pro alongside other subsciption fees we need as an institution can really begin to pile up. With limited budgeting this might not be the best soltuojn but for us, considering the extensive features, it has proven to be a worthwhile investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application Deployment used to be a time consuming and labor intensive process but this has been streamlined for myself as an administrator to push software and updates simultaneously and remotely. The same goes for updating devices throughout the year on days when we are out of school. This allows for seamless security updates and compliance being met while still being able to enjoy my time off.

Jamf Connect streamlines onboarding even further!

  • September 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've helped many organizations intergrate both their Azure AD and Google Workspace directories into Jamf Pro using Jamf Connect. While initial deployment includes some complexity, the custom experience we can create for users is unmatched. Not to mention the simplicity of allowing a user to basically self-provision a Mac without direct IT involvement. Game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides to the product we've seen so far. We do recommend taking advantage of Jamf's on-boarding support as every customer we've taken onto the platform has encurred some form of customization. And the integration requires advanced understanding of Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect as well as the directory provider interface. But it's well worth the energy once you watch a user un-box a factory Mac and quickly get to a fully configured desktop complete with a user account, mail, apps, documents, and preferences -- all with zero IT touch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without full directory integration and user account snycronization, we were assigning IT staff to perform user account creation for each end user. While we could push apps and services with Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect added the final step. Now a user simply logs into a properly enrolled company-owned Mac with their email credentials ... and magically a full, local user account is created. And if a password is changed on the Mac or at the directory server, the password is sync'd between platforms. We reclaim IT services for both deployment and forgot password support. Win-Win.

An all-inclusive Apple device management programme

  • August 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With a variety of features and functionalities designed especially for macOS, iOS, and tvOS devices, Jamf pro is unquestionably a strong and complete solution for controlling Apple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low support for non-Apple devices, a steep learning curve for new users, and exorbitant pricing for a small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With its extensive feature set and simple user interface, Jamf pro is unquestionably a top option for managing Apple devices. While there may be a learning curve for novices and it may be quite expensive for smaller organisations, it gives IT administrators the ability to effectively manage Apple devices, speed deployment, and enforce security standards. The benefits it delivers to Apple-centric settings are well worth the investment.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro provides zero day support for new operating systems, products, etc. Jamf Connect integrates with our identity provider to keep local user passwords in sync with single sign-on credentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we wait 72 hours or more in between email support responses. Support agents don't alays read your entire request or review attachments in support requests becuase first responses often ask for information already provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf provides the integration wiht our IDP for zero touch deployment, which includes application deployment, idp integration, application deployment, profile installations for security compliance
