Jamf Pro your best tool for success
What do you like best about the product?
I love Jamf Pro because self-service allows our users to get the applications they need for their function and thus offer a wonderful service to the customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the web interface can be frustrating, in addition the remote control will sometimes stop if it connects to many devices at the same time. I would like more stringent controls to be established on the Macs and Macbook Pro that allows us to block functions where user add folders to the desktop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We in our company manage more than 1400macs with Jamf Pro to insert packages and custom scripts so that end users obtain software automatically
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We can argue that Jamf Pro is indispensable for any company with at least 300 Macs or more, there are so many things that we can take advantage of from the Jamf Dep enrollment process, to security policy implementations and patches

Get Jamf Pro!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Jamf's smart groups help organize computers for management and policy targeting. One of the best parts in my opinion!
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could use an update but that's it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since getting JamfPro, I've been able to tackle the on-boarding process for new users and getting our team enrolled in Jamf to enable FileVault encryption. It's been a game changer for my team.
Jamf
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is MDM that you can use to manage MacOS and iOS devices. Compared to it's Windows equivalent (SCCM), Jamf is a complete and utter breeze! Just like Apple products, Jamf "just works." It's an incredibly powerful tool and can basically automate away a lot of the tedious maintenance work IT would normally have to do for devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple design choices that I don't agree with, but for the most part Jamf does an amazing job. A testament to this fact is that it was designed by people that actually had to use it to manage their own devices!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MacOS & iOS management. This includes:
-Imaging
-Configuration
-Provisioning applications
-Patching
-Reporting

If you have Apple devices to manage, you need this!
What do you like best about the product?
We are a 1 to 1 school. Middle school uses iPads and High school uses MacBook Air. Our handouts used to take days to prep before hand-out. Now it takes moments. We manage over 2300 devices and JAMF Pro makes it so much easier to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much and certainly nothing that is impacting my work flow. My costs have certainly grown as we add more users. Maybe a flat rate for schools beyond X number of users would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick deployment of devices. Consistent positive feel and experience for the students.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works. There are few solutions, it seems, that truly do what they say it does. JAMF does the work of managing my devices.
Best Device Management Software for the Apple Ecosystem
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is always improving and innovating new features to make things easier and more streamlined
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation and support could improve to speed up when an issue is found or when trying a workflow via a knowledge base article its not always the best experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro gives me the tools and peace of mind to manage a fleet of Macs. Anything I need to to from software updates to compliance and security to ensure things like FileVault encryption - Jamf Pro is the best period.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its the best of the best for managing Apple ecosystem. They have the best people, and are always innovating to make their tools/ stack better
Best Device Manager for Apple Devices Hands Down
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to administer and monitor so many devices is amazing. particularly with such granular control.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to be able to schedule policies for specific time but its not (yet, i hope) available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have over 1000 apple device that we currently manage with Jamf Pro, with this service we are able deploy configurations and software across our entire fleet or individually, as required.
Jamf is the entire package~
What do you like best about the product?
The search feature is very comprehensive, I can find a computer with almost any unique detail from the computer or iOS device. The community support is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is intense. Sorting features in the policies section could be improved. Breadcumbs to return to previous the page would be welcome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once NetBoot stopped working with Apple products, Jamf Pro saved the process. solves the constant nagging for extension approvals
Best way to manage a fleet of Macs
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro has been instrumental in changing how we manage our fleet of systems by making it easier to keep machines up to date and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a little clumsy and/or unintuitive. For example, options such as managing Scripts are part of the Settings menu and it takes several clicks to navigate to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro makes it easy for a small team to handle a growing fleet while making sure we're maintaining required policies and updates across the fleet.
Jamf is the most reliable MDM I've used.
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that Jamf Pro is web based. I can access it on any device I use and it is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few annoying bugs such as "this session will expire in seconds" popup and some settings not getting saved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to service and deploy mobile devices and a much faster and reliable rate. The amount of options from configuration profiles to management tools is great.
Macs Made Easier
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about jamf is the ease of use, particularly in building policies. Along with how much management can be implemented or removed quickly and easily from a machine with policies as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about jamf is the functionality of saving settings within policies and groups. For example when you are adding parameters to a group, you typically have to find a save button within a window on the top or bottom of the field rather than using the main save button for the whole policy. This is just an ease of use complaint, though; as I often forget to save settings before moving onto another aspect of the policy and then have to go back and re-enter things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying applications and printers to lab environments has become so much easier with jamf. Another benefit is the massive amount of valuable information you can quickly get from machines within your instance. Making a smart group to see how many machines are on an old OS is an example of something that would have previously taken a lot of time going machine to machine.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend this product for anyone who manages macs. Especially if there is no current management in place.
