What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is incredibly well thought out from it's features to it's menu navigation. JAMF have clearly done all they can to make the experience for the user as problem free and as easy as possible. The layout is sleek and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
In all honesty, I am yet to really find any particular feature that I dislike. The development from the JSS to Jamf Pro is notable and I am nothing but impressed with the clear improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping us realize our ambition of rolling out a full 1 to 1 laptop system.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive interface. Planty of features. Wherever a need arises, JAMF finds a solution. Sometimes I have a feeling that JAMF is faster than Apple :)
What do you dislike about the product?
It is really hard to say, for sure it is a money. But all best things in a world have a price. At least we know what we got in return.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing all Apple devices in our organisation (about 1500 Mac devices). Thanks to JAMF, we are able to meet all operational, business and security requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JAMF is an indispensable tool for any central management needs.

Integration with DEP, VPP, and the Self Service app is awesome. We have provided several custom solutions thru the Self Service app to our Managed Clients. We have self help tools, Tech Support Tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really want us to be able to move to the cloud, but not having MySQL access is a big bummer, cause the API can only do so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Admin Access Provisioning, several support tools for end users to run themselves via Self Service app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is best in class, save yourself some time!

What do you like best about the product?
I throughly enjoy the ease-of-use with using Jamf Pro to manage my iOS and OS X environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using Jamf Pro/Casper for so long; the Jamf team has done a phenomenal job of continually improving the product with each version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of iOS, OS X devices. I have learned that Self Service has a huge benefit to users that are remote or simply want to manage installs/updates on their own time.

Reinventing how you look after your iOS/MacOS Estate

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Replacing IT Support Time with Automated Processes, so that time can be spent developing the estate rather than firefighting issues. Allowing users that have non technical skills resolve technical problem with the use of Self Service. Zero Touch deployment negating the need for engineers to spend time preparing machines.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new pricing model may alienate clients during their renewal. There are some additional steps needed to really make Jamf shine in the Enterprise environment, such as allowing Cloud Distribution as a dedicated failover to File Distribution Points that are assigned to buildings.
Jamf Admin is a crucial tool in the management of Jamf Pro, and is incredibly unreliable and crashes under multiple scenarios/environments when syncing large amounts of data to repositories. (Found this with many of my clients, and with brand new machines/fresh built repositories/different OS's and all display intermittent results with syncing and the initial copy of data to fresh repositories (Media Biz's that have 400GB~ of Repo)).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Putting in process in otherwise unmanaged environments
Providing a better build process and problem management with policies to compete against the windows environment
Working with businesses that have no onsite IT Support, utilising Self Service to replace the need for 1st line Support
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest time in developing your estate, either with a onsite technician or using a outsourced engineer that can create the estate that looks after itself rather than just implementing the tool and not having dedicated hands to make the most of the features in Jamf Pro.

Configuration Control for Mac

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease that Jamf gives for Configuration Control for the Mac's in an enterprise environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve coming from a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager environment takes a lot of getting use-to, it is a very different experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, Patch Management, Software Availability, Reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your environment is mostly a Microsoft Enterprise environment, Jamf is a partner so this makes the decision a no-brainer!

JAMF is a must have for Mac admins

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Even only having to manage 300 OS X and 300 iOS devices, JAMF was a life saver. I utilize JAMF in a school district with 12 remote schools. I simply couldn't manage that many devices with as few man hours as our tech department has. Before implementing JAMF, I traveled to all of our schools 3-4 times a year. Since we rely on air taxis for transport, this was very costly. Now not only do I travel far less, I am working out of the opposite side of the country, fully remote. JAMF makes this possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I don't have many complaints, but it would be awesome for more JAMF remote features to be directly integrated into the web UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since travel between our schools is expensive and logistical challenging, being able to remotely administer our devices with ease is essential. Our satellite internet connections further challenge remote administration. The JAMF platform solves all of these challenges. Being able to set up local distributions points at each site allows us to work within the bandwidth limitations of our internet capabilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JAMF is a must-have for medium to large scale Apple deployments. Working for a school, finding time that a teacher or student can relinquish their tech for me to install updates or patches is challenging. JAMF allows me to queue these updates to be installed behind the scene with few interruptions.
